  • 21 month update after my hair transplant at Elithair in Istanbul, Turkey. The clinic I went to have now created a discount code for me to share if anyone interested: lp.elithair.co...
    For 3500 grafts in July 2020 it was €2150, which included hotel and transfers.
    The clinic have actually now created a special link with a discount for anyone who might be interested: lp.elithair.co...
    2300 grafts at the front; 1200 grafts on my crown.
    I take Finasteride daily and have had no side effects. I also take Vitamin D and Biotin tablets. I don't use products in my hair and have never used fibres in my life. My crown is now 9.5/10 thanks to the transplant and finasteride.

    Man, you need to rest, it looks perfect and above all natural. Do not do anything more !! do not touch it !! No corners no nothing !! enough. I loved what it looked like even before the transplant, I wish I had what you had before, I would say thank you for that. Leave your face and body to rest, enough. From now on, forget about everything and start living, start a family, children ... Enjoy life. And throw the mirrors out of your house :) , you seem to me very critical of yourself and that's dangerous. You look amazing and natural and that's it. Enough with surgeries and nonsense. I wish you well and sending you big love from Israel.

    Hi, can I just ask are you sponsored or anything from Elithair, just I looked on there web page and your on that. Looking in to getting my crown done, and to be honest yours is one of the best I’ve seen, especially for the money, I’ve seen others what compare but for 4 times the price. TH-cam and forums seem to throw up more questions than answers, especially when you find out there sponsored or have gotten a free transplant like some TH-cam channels.

    • @HairlineConfessions
      @HairlineConfessions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey man. Just seen this. Are you referring to the TH-cam video of theirs that I’m in? I got an extra night’s accommodation and free hair wash for that. Just checked their website and I’m not on that as far as I can see. If you’re doing research on the forums (which is a good thing to do) then you won’t find anyone recommending Turkish clinics on there. Especially technician led clinics, which is what Elithair are. If you watch my videos in full you’ll see I give a completely honest account of my experience. Hairline isn’t perfect (some double grafts there) and the donor is a bit patchy when it’s shorter, but overall I rate my transplant an 8/10. From what it was to now is easily an 8/10. Could it have been better at a top Spanish or Belgian clinic? Of course. But it would also have cost at least 5 times the price. If you have a spare £10k though then I don’t think anyone would suggest going to Turkey. All comes down to budget pal.

    • @MCFC777
      @MCFC777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. No what it is, I’ve just seen a couple of TH-camrs who’s been to some clinics in Turkey, where I think the clinic have reached out to them, knowing they have TH-cam channels and subsequently had the doctor do the job and they receive probably a better job than the average Joe would. The reason I ask, is because the job looks excellent and looks on a par to the clinics that are asking top dollar. I would be more than happy if mine turned out like that, Thanks again 👍

    I don't think you need anymore hairline or temple peak work at all to be honest. I'd save those grafts for possible future needs elsewhere. Also, not many clinics do temple peak work as it's quite specialised, and even less clinics do it well. If you do decide to have work done there, that's one area that you don't want to shop based on price for. Miniaturised temple peaks or none at all is 10000 times better than badly transplanted ones, and graft removal (if they are done badly and required removal) in that area tends to scar more than along the hairline itself (where you can actually punch grafts back out with virtually no visible scarring if done by the right hands). The issue with temple peaks is that a) there's literally no donor hair on your head that is quite as fine as the temple peak hair, so to get it close and to blend you need a doctor to extract under microscopes the finest single hair grafts they can find; usually from outside of the "safe" zone like the nape or behind the ears. b) angles are king; getting the grafts to sit flush to the skin and point backwards nice and flat to match the rest of the hair and create the feathering effect is a real skill that few do well. Also, usually each temple point's hair will have differing directions due to the way the hair often wraps around the back of the head from the crown. My right side for examples goes straight backwards over the ear. My left side however has a more complex pattern whereby some hair at the temple/temple peak comes forward a bit, and then the direction of the hair changes to backwards over the ear the lower down the temple point you go. Replicating that requires real artistry, skill and the right sort of equipment to pick the right grafts etc...
    Ditto by the way for the temple corners where the hairline and temple peaks connect. "Closing them off", as you suggested you might want, is also a real skill with similar challenges to temple peak restoration. Where you'll find the biggest difference between the budget Turkish clinics and the better regarded clinics is in exactly these sorts of areas of a hair transplant. So although you've got good results, your case was fairly straightforward so most clinics that are reasonably adept at extracting and implanting grafts should be able to do at least a decent job in a case like yours. The three hardest things in terms of complexity to do for a HT is recreating the whorl of a crown, temple corner restoration and temple peak work. I genuinely don't think you need to address those areas, but if you do, definitely make sure to do your homework - some of the best clinics in the world don't do temple peak work because it really is that specialised.

      Cheers for the detailed message pal. One thing I realise I didn’t say in the video is that if I do get another surgery I wouldn’t go back to Turkey. For the exact reasons you mention. I actually managed to get a face to face consultation a couple of months ago with Dr Lorenzo whilst I was in Madrid and he said I would need 1000 grafts and some of that is for the temples too. He said the hairline would be lowered slightly and by lowering it it would hide the doubles. No plug extraction or anything like that is needed. Another top surgeon I’ve been looking into is Dr Mwamba, who again I’ve seen does strong temple work. Obviously a second transplant is a big deal, but by getting the majority of grafts done in Turkey I will still have saved a considerable amount of money. And Dr Lorenzo was very impressed by the crown work Elithair did. But like you’ve previously said, he also said I got lucky.

    • @mooney11
      @mooney11 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HairlineConfessions Mwamba & Lorenzo are both great so you’d be in good hands either way! And yea getting the bulk done cheaper and then the smaller refinement work done elsewhere is a decent strategy for you I’d say.

      I'm actually one month post op from a circa 1,500 graft hair transplant with Dr Mwamba in Brussels, covering a very similar area to what you've mentioned- marginal hairline lowering of about 0.5cm and the creation of temple points. It is worth noting that my temple points hadn't "receeded" as such, rather I never had any to begin with! Feel free to reach out if you've any questions.
