A Friend of the Family is an American drama miniseries. Based on true events, it follows Robert Berchtold, a close friend of the Broberg family, who kidnapped Jan Broberg twice over a period of two years.
In these episodes she is 13 years old going on 14. She meets B's mom for the first time and she doesn't seem bothered by any of it at all. We also find out that Gail was most likely 14 at the time she met B.

After watching all these I feel bad for Jan, not only was she horribly manipulated and abused she had to suffer having complete morons as parents. It's really really sad.
Things like this is what changed my mind about going in to laws enforcement because I am afraid I would just totally lose my head beat some child, elderly or animal abuser to death .... And parents like these? Yeah, them too.
