    Typo correction: colorado torque is actually 430 in 2024. Edmunds website had it listed as 391. The 391 was the mid level 2.7 in 2023. In 2024 they got rid of the mid level tune so it's now 430 for all trailbosses

      Hi sir. I just wanted to tell you again that I really enjoy your you tube program because you tell the real truth about stuff. I was wondering what you really think of the 24 Tacoma and how reliable do you think the engine and turbo will be. Toyota has had that motor and turbo for quite a few years, maybe just not put together until now. It's been 8 years since Toyota has had a big change in the Tacoma and I don't think that they would have just put it together in the last year. Thank you for your time and knowledge old wise one.

      @GerryHavican thanks. Greatly appreciated. On the tacoma I feel that it will be an excellent truck soon. But not yet. Toyota (same as most brands) has always had a rough start with all new motors and new trucks. It's comma take another year or 2 for it to get sorted. As for the engine reliability I bet eventually it will be one of the most reliable 4 turbos available. But it will take a some years to get there. Toyota is very slow to change or improve things. So I think in 4 or 5 years the 24 tacoma will be rock solid. My opinion.

      @@SamkoWorkShop HI sir. Like I have told you before, I am very happy with my 22 TRD sport and I get over 30 mpg with it. All that I have done to it is a k&n drop in filter and a TRD air accelerator and I use mmo in the gas. I really like some of the new improvements on the 24 because of the new safety features and I will be 70 this August.

      @GerryHavican nothing wrong with buying one if you want one. So far the issues have been minor. And nothing wrong with splurging on a new truck

    I picked up a 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss in March and I love it.
    Most of my driving are short drives around town. My MPG is at 17.4 right now.
    However, when I drive on the freeway, the MPG goes up to nearly 24.

    Just bought a Trail Boss last week. It’s been sitting in the garage nicely waxed while I drive my daily Impala. I love the truck though so far

    As a Colorado ZR2 owner - a small pick but I don't love the shifter being on the right side. The Ford is much better being in line. I like to drive with my arm on the arm rest and hand on the shifter. Not as comfortable as shifter is not in line as being on the right side. On a good note, got back yesterday from a 220 mile trip (mostly 65mph) and averaged 23.3 MPG on the highway with the beefier tire'd ZR2. Will admit it's pretty bad around town but really decent for what it is on the highway. Also had one of my Daughters friend in the back seat and they had just came off a field playing sports so very hot. She angled the rear vents to blow cold air on her and said they worked well.

      Great observation on the shifter. And appreciate the update on your zr2. I love the zr2. So jealous when I see one

    Just looked at a xlt sport and the dealer didn't order it with a locker. Just a receiver without integrated brake controller as well. Overall the truck was pretty bare with a msrp around $42. They are also a nissan dealer. I looked at their frontier that was next to it and they didn't order it with the convience package. So instead of the spray in bedliner and other items of the package they separately put in a plastic bedliner to save on $. Might see dealers start doing this to keep the price down and be competitive against other dealers.

      Yep competition is getting fierce today. But a truck without a hitch blows my mind. When I was looking at the xlt sport for the review and I saw that it didn't have a hitch I paused the recording and looked at the sales guy with a weird look on my face. He laughed and said "hard to tow 7k pounds without that"😂😂😂

    I’m looking for a truck like this or the 3.0 baby max but literally every truck has so many people trashing them.

      People really get off on slamming any vehicle that is not what they drive. Remeber we are now a world of "step on everyone to make myself feel better". Every single brand I make a video has atleast 50 "it's junk" dumb ass comments. When in reality all brands and all trucks are about equal with the pros and cons from one washing out the other etc. Take all the stupid negative with a few grains of salt. Especially the " my sisters, uncles best friends neighbor " crap

    Im torn between the Colorado zr2 or the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X. What would you choose?

    • @YerBoyTroy
      @YerBoyTroy 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      If price isnt a factor go the colorado. If you need a v6 go frontier. Pro 4x doesnt really compete with a zr2 by the way, better comparison is with a trail boss. Colorado has more performance

    • @SamkoWorkShop
      @SamkoWorkShop  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Depends on your needs. Longevity and reliability if you plan to own it a decade will go to the pro 4x being naturally aspirated v6, no lift, simpler cv angles, less abuse on steering. But the zr2 is in a whole different class of offroad capabilities only matched by a gladiator rubicon or a raptor ranger. The zr2 has gobs more power and capabilities but comes at the cost of the 3 inch lift changing cv angles and putting more wear on parts.
      Best way I could sum it up is the zr2 is an offroad beast that will last 150-200k miles before needing costly repairs and do very well at everything.
      The pro4x is a solid truck that will do pretty much anytime someone needs with out the flash, pop, or power, but will last 350-450k miles relatively trouble free.

    I’d go with the Chevy, but I’m a little biased being in an AT4, basically a premium Trail Boss.
