The best explanation of Advaita Vedanta from a scientific and rational perspective!! Advaita Vedanta is not contradicted by any of science knowledge obtained through objective experimentation and yet it goes one step further from science studying consciousness by subjective direct knowledge.

@@achintyabiswas5388 if you are free how do you expect to leave something you weren't inside in the first place? You are omnipresent. From where will you leave and to where will you go? The body is in you not you in the body.

@@achintyabiswas5388 who will leave and what will leave? Isn't it the One Existence which appears as many? So whom will you leave and what will you leave when all is but you? Know your real nature and assert it whether at the bottom of the ocean or the top of the clouds or in outer space. What does it matter to you what happens to the body? You are Brahman.

love you Swamiji ❤ I find fascinating how Vedanta - which I finally found - describes into words what I have always believed to be true but could not express nor find a sense of belonging to before; and it is also so close to my main existential psychotherapeutic approach. So, again, thank you Swamiji. Your lectures make me very happy!

Hi Matilde, I know EXACTLY what you mean. Having discovered Vedanta over a decade ago it has for me made so much sense in so many different ways. As if my entire sense of existence at its cores is perfectly in tune with the Vedanta concepts ( I could write a book on this point but sure you understand). Also crucial to add that though no Guru is in theory required , spiritual guides do help and from all the long list of people I have read it listened to this Swami is really something unique and special 🙏

Pranam 🙏❤️Swamiji and everyone.Awesome , brilliant teaching as Swami ji does always. Swamiji is the greatest teacher in this 21st century. I have come to know as of now , if we regularly practice our mind to see any object or matter or event or any creation as it is without any past experience just as a new born baby sees everything then can one finds reflected consciousness more effective and one can use this experiment for realising pure consciousness also as Brahman or " I " . Just see everything from Childish brain not from an adult brain , trust me Life will be awesome , absolute freedom can be experienced then . Everytime hearing Swamiji is blissful. Like internet is medium between server and device same reflection consciousness is medium between pure consciousness and maya . So many things to learn from Swamiji in the coming days . A heartfelt gratitude to whole Vadanta NY team for arranging all these gems in the public. Blessings and Respect to all body mind individual who are reading my comment🙏❤️

Since thousands of years Hinduism is fooling people, cheating people,
      killing them, starving them
The Idol worship and Idol are since beginning
and proof of evil forces AND FOOLING FORCES are with humans since beginning.
The oldest Idols and the oldest temple are the proof of how long Humanity has been fooled by Idols.
The oldest Idols oldest temples are proof of oldest enmity of human prosperity.
WHY THE TRUE CREATOR OF UNIVERSE PROHIBITED HIS WORSHIP IN IDOL FORM ??
I WILL GIVE YOU LIVING PROOF OF THIS ENMITY IN THIS TIME
Hindu Temples that Fooled People and Collected of Gold
      1) Padmanabah temples Kerala 1300 Tons of Gold
      2) Venketshwer temple Trimula 300 Tons of Gold
      3) Vaishnu devi Temple 1.5 Tons
      4) SiddiVinayak Temple Mumbai 160 Tops
      5) Sai baba Temple 360 Tons
      6) Krishna Temple Kerala 2 Tons
THIS IS JUST 10% OF REAL FIGURES AND 2% OF TOTAL TEMPLES IN INDIA.
Question Yourself? Do these stone idols needs this tons of Gold ?
And my innocent Indians that gave their hard earned money to these temples are dying in
      Migration
      Corona
      Starvation
Suicide because of burden of taxes and bank interest.
But these bustard temple God with tons of Gold is not to help them not to save them.
Will not give these poor and needy a single pai / Penny.
Google, India is highest in Malnutrition, Starvation, Suicide, Illiteracy, Rape by Saints in temples.
DO THESE STONE IDOLS NEED THESE TONS OF GOLD?
IS NOT HINDUISM A TRICK TO FOOL, LOOT AND RULE ?
See today's news of Kanpur, a girls hostel in temple, 7 underaged girls was found pregenent
and infected with Aids run under Hindu saint chief minister Saint Yogi

Swamiji is the most updated and honest acharya today who is able to address also western philosphical and scientific arguments in favor and against Vedanta and make them comprehensible within the advaita system.

"Hear day and night that you are that Soul. Repeat it to yourselves day and night till it enters into your veins, till it tingles in every drop of blood, till it is in your flesh and bone. Let the whole body be full of that one ideal, “I am the birthless, the deathless, the blissful, the omniscient, the omnipotent, every-glorious Soul.” Think on it day and night; think on it till it becomes part and parcel of your life. Meditate upon it. All your actions will be magnified, transformed, defied, by the very power of the thought. Bring this thought to bear upon your life, fill yourselves with the thought of your almightiness, your majesty and your glory."

All are manifestations of one fundamental being. One only exists, which appears as subject and object. Freedom is the very nature of soul, it is not something which was lost and need to be gained! Nobody has ever experienced matter outside himself. All experience is in consciousness. Experience = object + Consciousness. We only experience ourselves at all times, only consciousness. Even evidence of matter needs consciousness. Pranaams Swami!

Very illuminating lecture Swamiji Maharaj! I am inspired to study Swami Vivekanand lecture also deeply. The Buddhist will say, gently, that Anatta (Anattma) is non--self - that is, self is not found in the body-mind complex, Aniccha (Anittya) - impermanence, to be nature of this body-mind complex and this universe. All Flux in the ocean of existence / reality - pretty much what Vedanta teaches. The Buddhist will also try and experience this through Dhyana, and techniques such as vipassana are used to illustrate what it and Vedanta both point as reality.

Swami explains things so well. I am so glad to have discovered advaita Vedanta. If I could ask swami I would ask him to explain the relationship between the objective universe, by which I think he means material objects, and (as at 37) when he explains that the rose has no existence except in consciousness. I can see that consciousness is the reality ( to simplify it too much) But I still can't understand when swami says that the rose is an illusion. If we were not passively viewing a rose but instead viewing the bus coming toward us at speed - the consequence is real enough if we do not move! Any clarification welcome.

The same question confused me during the talk. To my understanding, the fact that the bus may hit me and that through the "sensation of touch" I will experience pain (as you said with real consequence), is still totally dependent on my ability to be aware of my consciousness. If I wasn't aware, my body wouldn't experience the pain or "seeing the bus".
Just because"matter is an illusion", doesn't mean it's not there, whether temporarily, for that is why it's being called an illusion. But what would matter be without consciousness?
I can see and feel the body, hence matter is real and since the same can't be said for consciousness, it's an illusion. However, the question remains, that "I can see and feel" the gross and subtle only because my consciousness allows me to do so, otherwise, what would matter mean?
If I were without consciousness, my blindness wouldn't allow me to see the bus, neither would my inability to touch bring me pain. There would be no life.
(I used this answer to recollect few important points from the talk, and I definitely need more meditation into these ideas to truly assimilate their understanding. These are my two cents hahaha. Love.)

Allow me to elaborate a little more on the second paragraph to put it into the right perspective,
Swami Vivekananda said that there exists Maya (illusion) and Reality, but that Maya isn't actually an illusion until we have understood the nature of Maya; till then it is our reality (with a small r). Only after properly understanding Maya do we sieve it's nature from that which remains, which is Reality.
Forgive me if I couldn't make the explanation lucid, for I'm yet to understand these higher concepts more clearly. 😅

I don't believe there is currently a satisfactory answer. Some scientists indeed say that matter is an illusion because in reality there is only energy or information in otherwise empty space. The apparent matter that is you can still be scrambled by the apparent matter that is the speeding bus. But in philosophies that see consciousness as the underlying reality, that scrambling of your information or energy field has no effect on the real, eternal you. Whether that gives the current you any solace depends on which 'you' you feel truly matters.

Swami Sarvapriyanandaji, you are the only contemporary RK Mission Swami I admire. Pls prevent RK Mission "career Swamis" from turning RKM to a hotchpotch of liberal (which become partly anti-hindu) stance (I'm sure you would understand what I mean). Extremely sad! The career-Swamis are far removed from the ideals of Thakur Sri Ramakrishna and the great Swamis of yester-years! Humble request.

40:44 the problem is also in quantum mechanics if you want to determine the nature of the light or matter. Depending on the presence or the apsence of the embodied consciousness who understands the results (aka the observer), the results will be diferent. So no objectivity in matter when you look closely.

I agree that with out consciousness you can't experience an object. We need both, consciousness and objects for an experience. How do you say that there is only consciousness not an object?

    • @Pqihtyieojn12
      @Pqihtyieojn12 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Objects don't have any reality, because if they did then it would be impossible for anyone to go beyond them. Same for virtue and sin. Objects are maya borrowing the light from the Self and appearing to be many and real while it's just one and the object has no absolute existence. Anything which has no absolute existence can't be said to exist. Its a mixture of non existence and Light of existence

If some vedantic scholar would get out unshaken from conversation with Richard Dawkins, he would be considered strongly rooted in Vedanta indeed. Dawkins might be materialistic scientist per se but intelligent one. I would love to see conversation between Adi Shankara (undefeated in any dabates) and Richard Dawkins. If Dawkins defeated that would be a great blow to materialistic - atheistic materialism. After all he is one of the core pillars of today science. I strongly feel we are in dire need of any such as Shankara today!

You can do as you please but only a subset of behaviours favours nirvana and thus enlightenment. Therefore over time behaviour tends to lean towards the subset of behaviours, just as the second bird leans more and more towards the paramatman over time.
