congrats you just build an external hard-drive. not a flahs drive.
u can format the hard drive then we can use it as flash drive. i already have windows registry in it so i used it an external drive.
it is basically External Hard Disk Drive not flash drive, in any case you can use the same method on any SSD ( Solid State Drive) which are the real flash drive that uses NAND flash technology as a External Non- volatile storage drive. Plus there is a Sata to USB 3.0 and Sata to 3.1 type C port already, you need only that 12 Vdc to power up the 5.2 HDD (Hard Disk Drive) but if your using 3.5 HDD which are use mostly from laptops you do not need that 12 Vdc power supply it can run only on 5 Vdc and any Sata type interface SSD can run on 5 Vdc only

well you can use any SSD brand you like and you can use Macrium Reflect or any cloning software to clone your HDD to your SSD. Also HHD will never do as a flash drive. Ignore the Video, because SSD and HDD are two different technology HDD have laterally have a magnetic disk in it that spin and SSD is literally solid no moving parts. if you mean you wanna use you HDD as external drive you can. The Video have to re-name the title to using a Old HDD as a External Drive, that will be the appropriate title for it.

big deal, your windows machine won't see a drive that big, and no 3rd party app will recognize it or deal with it, unless you format ntfs, and remember windows cannot see a drive that big on usb... so, nfg
