  • I had the pleasure of hanging out and chatting with fellow TH-camr Bruise Lee (link at the bottom of the description) about a number of topics. In particular, we covered injuries and how we both approach training with them. There are practical concerns relating to the physical limitations you have, but we also talk a lot about the mindset that you approach your injuries and limitations with. We also cover a few other topics, including whether an internet personality-turned-boxer could handle Floyd Mayweather in a match (yes, I think it's silly, too). Martial arts, boxing, physical therapy, etc.

If you liked our discussion, please go and subscribe to Mr. Lee's channel (link below), as he's also doing fight scene reactions and videos on a variety of martial arts-related topics. We will likely do more collaborations in the future, too! Also, be sure to give any suggestions for future discussions, videos, etc. in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Great Convo Jeff, I enjoyed hearing your perspectives on training with injuries, I have had quite a few injuries myself ( Elbow dislocation from wrestling, Torn Meniscus from BJJ, Back Neck and shoulders, etc..)... My Injuries have taught me many lessons & never prevented me from training, and my training never prevented me from recovering either, because I was smart about it! In fact, I believe my injuries made me better in many ways. I look forward to more content from you! & Keep meditating brother! :)

Absolutely! I wanted to make sure that I made a point about how training inured can give us opportunities to improve our skills and understanding in various ways. We can use obstacles as chances for new growth.
Thank you for the support and encouragement!

Thank you so much! I'm planning a couple of new videos soon, as I've been a little slow with content lately (TONS of changes in my life, and I might share some once things stabilize).
And absolutely; I would love to get back to content on both taekwondo and judo (as well as other general martial arts principles). I miss the jumping and kicking as much as I miss the throwing and grappling. Over the next few months, I'll start getting more of those functions back. I just start doing hops, box jumps, and ladder drills in PT, so it looks like I'm moving in a good direction :)

@@JudoGeoff Since you are still in the healing process and you are a Kinesiology major. Diet videos, exercise/routine videos, progress video's and your insight and knowledge will do this channel well I think. Keep it up.

@@vindicatedafi that's quite kind of you to say. I certainly hope that I can give people some interesting things to think about, a little entertainment, and maybe even create a space where I can provide more detailed and formal input on certain subjects.
