It definitely wasn't perfect the fight itself was good but theirs definitely so desires beyond that unmet.
They saved all the budget for this fight and they nailed the choreography. Even though i wished it'll be a bit long still it was better than most h2h fight scenes out there 🤣

I mean.. this gives a lot more tension when Ryuen tried to make Ayanokoji show his emotion rather than a scene where Ayanokoji just let his anger out and then make Ryuen scared. Its kinda boring if its like that.. it doesn't give any memorable message or effect if Ayanokoji let his emotion out. I think this whole time, the studio who make The Classroom of Elite S1 and S2 choose to make Ayonokoji doesn't show his emotion (not like in novel or manga) is because they want to make this scene better? Because, if this scene ended up Ayanokoji let his emotion out. It just gonna be another actually strong MC beat the villain to protect his friend blabla cliche shonen anime concept

To clarify: yeah the anime doesn't do a very good job of portraying what Ayanokoji is feeling on the inside, In the light novel there are constant inner monologues and you really get to see what he is thinking all of the time. So yeah, he definitely does care about the people around him but just not to the extent that a normal person would, it's more like curiosity and a desire to be able to feel like a normal student.
Theirs so much nuance in his character in or to do ot just. Its should be almost entirely from his perspective like the LN.
He is trying, bless his heart, but it turns out spending 15 years in a secluded, sterilized enviroment where no one shows emotion towards no one makes that kind of hard. LN Koji is probably my favourite character, it's a shame they kind of fucked him over in the anime
To be honest I like the way the anime does it better. Ayanokoji is so interesting as this mysterious character whom you can't ever quite get a read on what he is going to do or even aiming for, or if it will be good or bad for others. Only giving us glimpses of what he is thinking I feel is helpful in drawing one to want to know more about him as it takes full advantage of his deadpan stance.
@@opinionofmine3238 The anime imo killed the ambiguity of his character which makes discussion fun. Mystery is great not when you just barely know anything but when his action and inner monologue feels doesn't really in line or unclear. It creates ambiguity while providing depth to his character and still maintain the mystery.
If you do read the LN, then you do know we still barely know anything about him. The LN proves that monologue can still create mystery. The anime is still good tho, I just don't feel Kouji's is as well written like the LN, a protagonist that I love just as much as other amazing MC like Guts, Gintoki, Walter White, Saul, etc

He was serving sides and a full course meal
Oh yeah at least it felt pretty good the part where Ayanokouji was beating Ryuen over and over again but he just kept talking. They didn't explain it but that's how Ryuen took control of the class, Albert, the boy who speaks English, is physically stronger than Ryuen and beat him at first, but Ryuen kept wanting to fight and fight, again and again no matter how much you hit him or if you win the fight before. Albert first felt annoyed, then tired and in the end he was afraid to face a madman who no matter how many times you beat him, he keeps throwing himself at you whenever he can. Ryuen expected to see an upset or tired face on Kiyopon, but in the end Kiyopon himself says so, it was such a trivial task that he didn't feel anything. I mean, even if Ryuen came over and over again, it would be the same. For the first time Ryuen found someone he couldn't despair of with his persistence.
Being objective, Ryuen is a person to be very afraid to face. The only way is to have enough strength to defeat him effortlessly and with a strong will. Otherwise, even if you beat him, the guy will come at you every fucking day at every moment he can, even if you hit him, he'll keep going again. Ryuen wasn't afraid of Ayanokouji because of pain, the guy doesn't flinch from the pain, but because he couldn't see any emotion from Kiyopon. Frustration, anger or annoyance at least... nothing. That someone is beating the crap out of you and his face doesn't change at all is fucking terrifying.
Yeah, this whole time Ryuen was feeling the rush. He said his heart was racing like it was his first love all over again. It was exhilarating for him. But, Ayanokoji was never trying to hide. He was just trapping Ryuen and eliminate him. He felt no rush, felt no anger or happiness. Ryuen finally realizes this when ayanokoji says "what the hell are you talking about". Ayanokoji is robotically dismantling him, and Ryuen can only watch and stare into the void of emotion. Ayanokoji isn't roleplaying, he doesn't have a facade and he doesn't care about theatrics. He is a machine, doing a task to enable him to reach his goal. The moment Ryuen realizes the true monster he is, that is when Ryuen feels fear.
In Marvel Comics there was someone like that against Wolverine. Wolverine decided that every fight with that villain he would beat his ass to the edge of death, then slice off some of his body. So much time passed by that the by the time the villain died, he looked like Beef Jerky barely hanging on to life.
The last episode was fire, it was essentially what I was hoping they'd do with that insane part of Volume 7. If I had one complaint it would be the removal of the funny bit of Koji looking at Ibuki's underwear untill he gets bored and choke-slams her 💀

Something that is important to know, Ayanokouji does have emotions, he can love, hate, etc. but he makes decisions based on facts and probabilities, he doesn't make decisions based on emotions or feelings, if Ayanokouji loves someone but he thinks that the best decision is to "sacrifice" that person he will do it (I'm just putting an example) obviously he will feel guilty but he knows that otherwise it would not have been possible to achieve his goal

I'm anime-only so I might be wrong, but the way I interpreted Ayanokoji's "This will do" is that he engineered this whole situation to absolutely permanently cement Karuizawa's loyalty in him and undoing her previous chains to put new chains onto her, making her his permanent pawn. The way the episode was presented to me made it feel like everything that happened wasn't at all significant, but the music kicking in as he says "This will do" signals that the end result is what was significant. Correct me if I'm wrong, spoiler-free thanks!

Reading someone said that the fight is actual scene they choreographed purely based on Light Novel and some addition from the studio themselves without referring to any other sources. That actually sick !
They've been telling this man from the beginning it's Ayanokouj and everytime there's someone in the room that's just like "Nah. I just don't really see it."
Ayanakouji has been fixing his classmate’s issues slowly but surely, he learned of Ruyen not being afraid and decided to fix that too. He only finished him off after he saw the change.
That was legitimately one of the best choreographed fights I've seen in a while.
After this episode, it's confirmed Ayanokoji's the new guest character for Tekken 8
I love the combination of wing chun and Mma inspiration for this fight choreography. The G&P was clean.

The "This will do" is actually regarding their relationship. He's saying that him promising to help her out when she's in trouble is enough for their relationship. Don't go by his expressionless face or showing no emotions to violence when it comes to his relationship with Kei. He could have actually used other methods to deal with the situation without having to save her now that he's not going for Class A anymore.

He said Albert was dangerous because of his size, koji couldn't damage him normally and had to actually attack his solar plexus as Albert's body was way too gifted, trained and durable. And ibuki got an even worse treatment in the novel bro, Koji was just looking at her panties the whole time until he got bored and then proceed to CHOKE SLAM her into the ground. Wish they kept that in because it was so funny. Peak episode.

I have been waiting for the reaction this episode was hype
I just wanted to point this out because it doesn't really bring this up in the anime. Koji made Kei wait because if he came in to save her right away she would be too dependent on him in the future. Next time she got into a bad situation if he did not come right away she would probably break. He made her wait in order to show that even if she dips into the depths of despair, he will indeed come to save her in the end. The fact that she did not rat him out and stood up for herself was not something he expected, but it was a good thing in his eyes.
The dragon takes the helpless princess to his cold dark cave and no knight saves her. But instead, a manipulative ghost.

i loved the last ep. they messed up the last punch. they showed that he hammered it but he just punches him. the iconic scene before the punch was not as well animated. but still good enough. they action sequence was fantastic tho
Well goddamn, that fight scene was animated really well, despite the animation scares the past episode. I would say that the animators really did justice on the animation, since it happened like i imagined it to be, with minor differences. Like Ibuki was slammed to the ground, ayanokoji taking and holding albert's fist and a little contest of strength, ryuen not landing a single hit except for when ayanokoji was trying to experience fear ryuen's talking about.
But i really like what they did in the anime since that is how ayanokoji acts despite what he thinks his acting on the surface lol.
