I have that book. I'm getting a little better but still need help lol. I'm starting new classes in Sept and hope it will help. It is always a pleasure to watch you make things so easy to make. I still struggle but I am trying and will not give up. At 68 I would like to be able to finish one painting without feeling everyone is lying when they say it is beautiful. Not!!! Hugs from NC.

I'm 69... a newbie... took a 2 month break and it's like starting over... so I just did a few leaves in a mini-wreath style... & will begin the journey again!!! Love her videos! A California Gramma ♥️

I'm an older adult in classes and everyone says everything is beautiful. I like some of my work or some parts of it and not others. It kind of bugs me when everyone says I need to think positively if I show something I don't like and say it. I'd rather have feedback about what works and what doesn't. And what I need to learn to make it work better. "Positivity" is a bit of a trap, imho. Critical judgement about something a person does is not the same as putting down the person. If we are already perfect we wouldn't need classes or youtube tutorials.
I'd love to make and sell art. Problem is I don't know how to go about reproducing copies of my art efficiently. I'd have to run to an office max and have them scan the art and then print it and I'm not sure if the scanners and printers they have are suitable for the color range that art has...Do you know of a not super over priced scanner/printer for making art prints?
Hey! Making prints would be an excellent way of selling your artwork and not having to stress about reproducing every painting (not to mention how much extra time that'd take)! I use an Epson V600 amzn.to/3SKUReU and I show my scanning process in this training: jennarainey.com/digitize-your-artwork
This is a fantastic session! I haven't gone to classes because of the darn pandemic. As a beginner I needed sketch tips. AND plan and step by step explanations are fully explained. Thank you 😊

I’ve sat here & Tried to paint some leaves and flowers. 😲 I’ve gotten it too wet to add highlights. I don’t have good watercolors yet. I’m using a few colors of cheap stuff with water based markers & watercolor pencils. I figure these are better than nothing until the end of the month. (Disability due to MS-pd once a month) I am REALLY enjoying this & it’s so relaxing. Today’s a hard day for me (Daddy passed 1 1/2 yrs ago) & this has helped me so much. It just occurred to me why I have trouble sketching flowers from different angles. I HAVEN'T BEEN BREAKING THEM DOWN INTO BASIC SHAPES ( like I did in the top down view in the begining!). Thank you for this reminder!!
