try to listen to Quran while doing chores. Multi-tasking is the solution

This is where husbands need to step in and do their fair share of the load. I truly don’t believe it’s the sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad(sawas) to break fast and pray and then run off to the mosque to pray for most of the evening. All whilst leaving his(sawas) wives to clean up and take care of children alone. Unable to perform extra prayers and recite Quran etc themselves. That is inherently unfair unjust, and the Prophet Muhammad(sawas) was always fair and just Subhanallah.

Agreed! Alhamdulilah my husband does his fair share but naturally as the stay at home mum my day is full of child and home related responsibilities. There are differences of opinion on taraweh.

I’m right there with you! It’s frustrating and I miss the sweetness of Ramadan in these toddler years.

It's a test, and I believe that part of the test is how you respond to it. Peace sister. Everything is as Allah SWT wills it.

    I hear you!
How about starting to engage your older kids with younger ones in teaching and other activities to free up yourself!
Doing for kids of what is needed for them especially in Ramadan is an opportunity too to gain more rewards and blessings- maybe Allah would bless you more for attending to children where needed versus ignoring them for other acts of worship as taking care of your dependents like your children is part of islam!🙂

I find reading Quran and listening to lectures while the kids nap is the beat thing to do. Even 10mins after each Salaht or 30mins while they nap.
Also after Fair while everyone is still sleep I read Quran for 45mins.
Looking after your family is Ibbadah. You could also try be of service to the community and the masjid? Help clean the masjid? Even offering 30mins in the day such as vaccuming or mopping.
Getting food for an elderly neighbour / shopping.
There are lots of little bits you can do here and there other then sitting for hours to read or study. Being of service is a massive thing peoppe forget about. Feeding the poor. Sharing after with neighbours.
I try to once a week share some harira, bread and chringle with neighbours and my husbands elderly friends.
