    I love how you guys give guidance on finance while keeping your souls. Some of these other financial 'gurus' only want to make money - kinda empty.

    Greed is a mental illness. If you feel bad because someone has more money than you, there is something wrong.

      I would also add Dave Ramsey, not necessarily for his advice, which can be solid at times. I like listening to his callers to hear about their situations and mistakes. It’s wise to listen to the errors of others.

    On the point of expected returns from education. Many courses DO advertise expected incomes for graduate positions.
    When I was studying optometry it was one of the key points of information they gave us at our orientation.
    Definitely a red flag if you are studying something and they can't even give you a rough expected annual ROI...

    I will say, yes you can take something from someone with more money than you, but that doesn't mean they are better at business. I have found there is such a big luck factor mixed in with having a perfect timing or even just being born on thirdbase or the tight time period.

    Could you guys do a show on entrepreneurship specifically sba 7a loans? I currently own a successful small business I bootstrapped. I'm considering taking out an sba7a loan to leverage a piece of property I own outright into another small business. The interest rates are currently @9/10 % variable and economy is unsettled in terms of recession/debt ceiling etc... lots to consider and having some advice would be good.

    The problem is they want to make the world a better place… for them. And the brand thing? No value there, though it does manipulate consumers and is effective at making money. I personally don’t have respect for it because it doesn’t make the world a better place, though I do acknowledge it makes money for the people who lean into it.

  • @vulpixelful
    @vulpixelful ปีที่แล้ว +8

    My problem with creators like that where their brand leads with themselves vs the educational content, you can get a cult of personality formed around them as a person. Then when they start promoting sponsors or individual "investments", that's when the grifting happens.

    • @cooleobrad
      @cooleobrad ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As far as I know (please correct me if I’m wrong), Alex only promotes his own business and doesn’t have any sponsors. He (at least used to) start his videos with, “I have nothing to sell you”

    • @vulpixelful
      @vulpixelful ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cooleobrad None of them really start with the promotions. It comes after they are approached, when they gain a consistently large audience.
      That could never happen. I'm only saying with creators like that, it usually happens eventually. We just have to be discerning about what we see on here :)

    I feel sorry for this guy, he doesn't seem like a happy guy. Just a person chasing a high he knows he'll never attain. If looking at Kylie Jenner becoming a billionaire ruins your week then I'm convinced that you have the same energy of miserable people that can never be happy unless they're unhappy.

    I am not the biggest Kardashians fan but... what an a-hole. He couldn't have simply given her a complitment and left it the there, just saying that she had motivated him. Nope, he needed to insult her. How can SHE make more mone than if I know more about the business. What an a-hole.

    Entertaining video (which I recognize was the intent), but even after making the HUGE assumption this guy's story in anyway resembles the truth, what practical financial advice can a billionaire who makes TH-cam vides in his underwear and complains about his wife somehow making more than the average CEO of a fortune 500 company provide to the average person? That is a rhetorical question BTW.

    Eh. This guy seems like a money obsessed dude bro that probably lords his money over people he deems less than him. Ive met billionaires and both times, they were the quietest most humble person in the room. That also goes for the many people ive met who were worth $50+ million.
    He has money. Great for him. That dosnt really help me. Telling me to "just make more money today" isnt really advice. Telling me to not make sure I have cash flow also isnt really advice. Those are just boring facts I could have heard from any motivational speaker.
