Isn’t the best aspect of a 401k the employer match? If the employer doesn’t match then the Roth IRA is the best plan for most people. Buffett has a Roth for the tax benefits. I doubt he has a 401k, probably owns a billion shares of Berkshire. Wealthy people don’t really need a retirement account, they do need and use tax havens. A Roth is a tax haven. So technically, that one person’s video is accurate in his statement. Of course once you become a billionaire you don’t really worry much about your retirement.

So I know this is an older video but I needed a reward and break for my first week of 40 hours plus studying the SIE. I'm so glad I choose this video cause I cried laughing with your reactions. The best part is after the first two days of studying the SIE I wanted to cry....I couldn't understand a darn thing. Now when you guys say key words like leverage, Yields etc. I know what your talking about 😃. I still don't understand Options and that darn chart is pure Russian to me 🤣😂. Not technically true, they always buy 1-ups every hundred coins. But it's a forced investment in their own long term-success, so still great investors.

Tesla isn't that one of the most shorted stocks. There are plenty of stocks with higher utilization of short interest than TSLA.

How do you end up with a roth IRA with 20M?
Can be done quickly with buffet's team, but as for the contributions, $6000 limit on its own, but then rolling over 401k into the Roth account and mega back door Roth's. Essentially getting your limits to over like $58k a year if done right (not sure of actual limits but definitely over 50k. Usual 401k limit is $19,500, but then if you can contribute after tax you can go all the way up to $58k if employer matches nothing
The less people are educated on finances the less companies can take advantage of peoples naivety, it's not even in the governments best interest to educate people.

Just curious if everyone was financially literate, wouldn't that be a bad thing for the savers? We talk down about Joe Smoe decision to be underwater on his brand new Ford F-150, but we need him to keep on consuming. We need the guy who buys a new iPhone every year, the girl who drinks coffee everyday, the kid wants video games for his good grades. We need more consumers than we need savers, is my understanding.
Not necessarily. It's all about timing. Saving just means you (or your heirs) spend after you have the money instead of before. Most people aren't saving so they can do a Scrooge McDuck, they're saving with the intent of buying that big ticket item or paying living expenses in retirement or leaving it as a legacy that will most likely get spent on something.
@@biblioholic7139 I'm just going to really simplify this and say what if tomorrow everyone saved 25% of their money. Wouldn't the GDP drop drastically and in turn implode the stock markets (our savings)? There wouldn't be much of a "tomorrow" if stocks implode and we'll never get to the spending level we once did if everyone saved.
No, because if 100% of people were financially literate then most would still mess it up and overspend. The knowledge is only half the battle.
@@franklintyler4652 Ok but it doesn't take 100% of the people to start saving for this to slow GDP. Imagine if 20% stops spending tomorrow and started saving aggressively. Are you still saying our GDP will still be on pace to grow when 20% of people stop buying frivolous things?

Grant Cardone is full of crap
I strongly disagree with your commentary on options. If you're a seller of options using the right strategy you're more likely to make money than if you're long stock. The only downside to being short options as opposed to long stock is the long term capital gains tax, but I think it's unfair to put a blanket statement on options as a gamblers financial vehicle.
