Once You Reach Platinum Then You Get Invited To The Captain Circle Party. We Have Sailed With Princess 27 Cruises And Really Enjoy Seeing Familiar Crew Members As Well As Passengers From Previous Sailings. We Have Sailed On HAL One Time And Did Not Expect Our Princess Loyalty Level To Transfer Over. That Would Defeat The Whole Idea Of Loyalty. Just Our Perspective. Great Video Thank You For Sharing
Out here in Australia where I live, I have sailed on 4 P&O Australia cruises so far and I booked a Princess cruise which I am on in a couple of days I am already at Ruby status with Princess, P&O are in with Princess as far as cruise days and numbers of cruises completed, also in a my princess account future cruises also show up as those that are coming up that are booked and to be completed as the cruises come up and have been done
You are absolutely right! I just checked the fine print and it says that only cruises taken on Princess and P & O Australia count towards the Princess Captain's Circle Program. P & O cruises in the U.K. are no longer eligible. Thanks for pointing this out. Enjoy your upcoming cruise and thanks for watching!
Great vlog, very informative. You're right, we just turned "ruby' and really didn't see any great benefit. We are also Elite on Celebrity, which means we are elite on Royal Caribbean also. There are many perks with that, the best one being two hours of free booze every night! Although I don't think Carnival would enjoy the damage done by having their target clientele getting boozed up for two hours every night. LOL!
Morning Jeff, thanks for another informative video. I’ll let you know what I find, first cruise as a Platinum member in a couple weeks. I agree with you, basically so far the benefits have been of little to no value. Curious to see how they off set internet cost from package.
Hey, Gerald. It's great to hear from you again. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I want you to know that I'm just polishing up the video you suggested on shareholder benefits. It should be up and running next Tuesday. When we reached Platinum, the most glaring perk was getting invited to the Captain's Circle Party. When it comes to the internet, if you have the Plus or Premier Package, the benefit becomes a moot point. For our next cruise, we got the internet package before the price jump AND got it at half price, so we've got it for just $7.50 per day for our upcoming cruise. Enjoy your upcoming cruise and thanks again for watching.
Great analysis of the loyalty programme, we're Ruby and it has no bearing on our choice of where we put our cruise dollars, which sort of makes having a loyalty programme at all pointless. Celebrity (Captains Club) is not much better, the only ones we take notice of are the MSC Voyagers programme and P&O's Penninsular as these both have a pricing discount advantage built into them versus not being a loyalty member and is one of the reasons why of our last 4 cruises 3 have been with P&O and the next one we're planning to book is with MSC.
The other cruise lines are missing the boat. If NCL, Celebrity etc put it out there they’d give me a benefit for my 13 Princess cruises I’d switch in a heartbeat
We just came back from our first cruise (post Covid). We are Elite loyalty in excess of 200 days at sea. The loyality programe has been totally devalued in favour of the cash grab of Princess premier (extra 96AUD per day). And Princess plus.I will never cruise with Princess again. You now have to pay for wi fi ,it used to be free for Elite

On Carnival you ask for the pins in the photography desk

The only one I’m aware of is MSC, they will match your existing tier level if you cruise with them .
