Im 56 years old and this is being a problem for most of my life. Since I listened to this I have been able to manage it much better. There is something about knowing the reason of my problem that reallly helps me. Thank you Tim❤

I felt like I hit rock bottom when my dream was me sitting and doing and thinking nothing in a bad way. It's like the mind turned my boredom up by 5.

Late response! I feel you! I thought I was the only one feeling I was covered in a permanent cast of boredom.

This is where I'm at. I take care of my responsibilities 100% I just don't know what to do. Nothing sounds fun. I'm totally burned out.

Thanks Tim for having the courage to push through during lockdown. I relapsed during that time. You do a good service.

Thanks so much for educating us about this. I can use this with my daily life. Being impulsive is when I find myself doing something that isn’t positive for me. I appreciate having your videos keeping
    me grounded.

The whole message is really poignant, but the solutions of planning activities that are fun or whatever is like trying to cross a 500 meter river in one jump for me. I’m 35 and lived for the moment mostly as an alcoholic for the past 12 years or so. I’ve tried to recover several times and made it six months in 2017. I’m 425 lbs now because of the addictive behavior. I don’t believe in God. I am scared to leave the house due to the pandemic.
I’m white knuckling it no alcohol and a fast, and I feel okay right now though. Optimistic, despite the circumstances. But if you’re right, as my instinct says you are, I’m just doomed because I am still refusing to do these planning things. You can’t go from full on limbic brain to adulting properly while living alone and feeling weighed down (figuratively and literally) by all the choices you’ve made. I’m just hoping that this time will be different. Always hoping that.

I recommend the book “Letting Go”. Forget authors name but he discusses the concept of processing emotions by accepting, acknowledging and letting them go. (Think when meditating and you get an itch, and you acknowledge and observe it but leave it).

I wonder if lots of people are hyper-sensitized to feelings of total, utter boredom in life simply because of how many years we spend in school growing up. I'm not inclined to believe that spending your entire developmental life waking up dreading another day of total drudgery is good for developing young minds!
They call it "education" but maybe it teaches nihilism more than anything. School makes everything in life feel boring. I'm 46 y.o. and haven't gone to school in many years but still remember the dreadful hopelessness of it all. The psychological damage lasts a lifetime and even interesting and/or fun things feel boring.
Young people shouldn't be growing up in prison.
