We don't need prices raised these days...Everybody isn't rich and alot of people struggling...It's nice to have a resturant that's not trying to rob us without a gun and poor folks can at least go out sometimes😊

I agree about the lack of seasoning. I have tried just about everything on the menu, minus the desserts. Often, I am underwhelemed!! Because it is minority owned, I continue and will continue to support! I do appreciate them offering non -pork entrees and sides for those who don't or can't eat pork.

Benz Boyz Mac n Cheese is fiyah! Legit one of the best I ever ate in my life. My wife & I took a side of mac too go. I wouldn't drive 45 minutes to go there again. The two older women there act like their bothered taking your order. I don't want nobody food that bad. Surprisedly though the young ladies at the long counter were really nice & energetic.

Hi, I had the opportunity to visit Ben’s Boyz. They did not disappoint. Even though I ordered a side order of potato salad, they gave me cold slaw but there was another person that I gave the cold slaw to & she really enjoyed it. We went there twice & hooked others to the restaurant. Yes, the corn bread was excellent! They did not have the catfish but oh my goodness, the grilled salmon & whiting made up for it. Thanks for your review!!! I would recommend them!!!! Thanks again.

I was a big fan of Sid Wills in Jamestown NC. I'm from the Raleigh Durham area and would drive up there once a week for a plate. Good old clean cooking but they've been closed down for months now temporarily. I'll try this place out. As a pescatarian I don't like overly seasoned food but I do like just a little.

I went last Saturday. The collard greens and lemonade, I got the strawberry lemonade. The rest….hmm. The restaurant is nice and soul centric!
Remind me of a restaurant I went to in Atlanta my daughter had a part in a movie. I just so happen to stumble upon this restaurant because I don’t want pizza. I am still looking in my payment history to figure out where. The food was so good the stuff was great.

Great greens, but the juice was all over my grilled chicken sandwich. It was confusing how and where to order!
I’ve Been There Twice with my husband The First Time it was last year . I Got The Wings And Mac with Cornbread . No collards because I was nervous I’m picky with my collards but I enjoyed it but the Mac was really grease . The second time was a few months ago and we had got the chicken quarters I believe and collards and Mac again lol but it was not good at all the collards weren’t seasoned well for me personally and didn’t have the vinegar flavor I was looking for but the Mac Got greaser and the chicken quarters had some areas the skin was soft and really chewy. But idk if that was who was cooking each time but I don’t think I would go back again .
The cakes are good there! The juices are really good but too damn sweet honestly.

What I’ve eaten there was wonderful. Issue? They run out of items for the day. I’ve had to walk out because they’ve been out of food at four.

I work in the same shopping center. The food is not that good and very small portion sizes and all I get is the vegi plate. Those poor young people have no customer skills. They just stand there and look at you. Maybe it has gotten better. It has been a year since I have been there 🤷🏽♀️

You are a food reviewer....I'm sure they served you better stuff than what they usually serve...I've been there before and the food was terrible... Probably depends on who's cooking....but myself and others I've talked to have gotten cold dry bland overcooked... possibly microwaved ... definitely reheated food...that description I just gave was of just one plate of food each item had its own problem...only thing that was good was the cornbread...and it was Jiffy..is that even legal? Either way shouldn't they have their own recipe for cornbread?
You need to come to the ATL we got like 1000 places to eat that's just in Atlanta alone.

They don't need to go up on their prices on the wings. A few months ago it was 9.99. They use to be partnered with Sid Will's. I like it better than. They gave you more food. Will and his sons started Ben boyz.

Bruh from what I see the fish is whiting and as you know it's a fish that needs a lot to give it flavor so I think if you over season it the fish will be salty. You might have to consider that in.

There was a place in HP called Becky & Mary’s (I believe they closed down) that was legit. Small lil hole in the wall joint but the food was the best soul food in north carolina
