Namibia - Searching for Desert Elephants

On our way to search for the elusive desert elephants of Namibia. We were warned that it might not be easy.
Desert elephants, also known as desert-adapted elephants, are not a separate species of elephant. Rather, they are African bush elephants that have adapted to living in the harsh environments of the Namib and Sahara deserts in Africa. While they were once considered a subspecies of the African bush elephant, they are now recognized as part of the same species.
