That's where I always get in trouble... when I get exhausted and try to push thru! Bad things then happen!! Glad you're going to make it!!

Hi Case! I am glad it wasn’t worse than it was. I work much the same way I try to get too much done and rush not to mention the multiple projects with tools everywhere. I have to say that since I started recording videos it has cause me to slow down and think more about what I am doing. Usually thinking about how to get a good shot but it makes me think about the whole process and like you said making things take at least twice as long. Glad you are ok. Stay safe out there!

Glad you’re ok. I was just talking about this with Kenny @openairadventure. Slow down and take your time is definitely a must. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Mike.

So many times I hit my head in similar situation. Going under an unusual object, while looking down... taking away a chunk of skin mixed with hairs... nothing as bad as you did though. Whatever I make that has a sharp edge/corner, I smooth it as if I was to hit that. I've found that if I do it, I don't hit it in the future. And if not, I'll definitely will hurt myself on it, no matter what! Even while logging, if I have long splinters coming out of a stump from felling the tree, I'll cut them right away. The other day, I had my side-by-side parked with its rear end in a ditch, so I dit not have to cross that ditch to load the logs and would lower the bed for better access. Sounds a good idea until I went back into the side-by-side. Because it was now sitting much lower, I banged my head on the ROPS... almost went knocked out. I was not even in a hurry! Lol! Thanks!

That was a bad cut for sure. Loss alot of blood. I,m always banging myself up all the time. It never stops. Make sure you have your forks down towards the ground when not in use so that won,t happen again. Stay safe and have a good day.

I have always called those "knowledge bumps." We now know not to do that. It never seems to work, tho!

You need to make a video on large knives and small knives. There are a few videos up on the subject. I’m pretty sure you have a answer. From your prospective. The conversation started with bush craft. Followed up by generalization. I personally feel that the more the better. Some people feel that the woods have so many fallen trees. That a large knife is unnecessary. Maybe end the video with your must haves without any electric or gas. ( people mentioned hand saws. I know a chain saw and wood splitter would be a easy pick) The reason for no consumables besides the wood. It will give anybody the basics. When using gas and electric? It cost more or adds to its functionally and maintenance. My experience with accidents is that they are going to happen. You can be as focus as you want. A split second changes everything. We are not going to walk outside with a hard hat. Afraid of a plane or branch falling. Be cautious. You can wear safety glasses all your life. The one time you decide not to wear it. That’s when a accident happens. It is better to be safe than sorry. To think we can control life. Way out of are league!!! Hope you get better my friend!!!

I edited my comment to many times. You can put on your safety glasses. If a branch fall and knock out all your teeth? Would you start promoting mouth guards?????

Thanks. I’ll ponder your knife idea 👍
