- Xena and Gabrielle find themselves stuck on a sinking ship after it is hit by a tsunami. Now everyone needs to band together if they want to escape the wreckage.

That smile Xena gives to Gabrielle when she sees her after coming out of the water. Like a big relief she found her, lovely
Bruce Campbell being in this episode makes it just that much better.

I always liked that he had chemistry with all of the Herc/Xena main characters. My favorite is when he and Iolaus have a misadventure, his bits with Herc are awesome too

Tsunami has always been one of my personal favorite episodes, and one of the most underrated. Xena telling Macon “What do I expect from you??? Nothing. From Me?? Nothing Less....” has stayed with me throughout the years, since I first saw this episode in the late 90s. She re-discovered her humanity on her journey through life with Gabs
Agree. I often do things that I "dont have to"(like me and my husband help this old lady that's our neighbour, we take care of her yard etc)and people ask why I do it. I usually just answer that if I wont do it then who will? If I can do it why wouldnt I? You cant always think "well someone else will do this", because that way things wont get done and people suffer.
This ep and Lost Mariner were the two best Xena episodes set on the water, i.e. the Mediterranean.
Haha, I guess this is the scene Lucy was talking about as it was one of the most aggravating scenes for her to film due to the time they had to be in the water. She amused herself by teasing Renee. There was some rotting gabbage floating around and Lucy was pushing it towards Renee who tried to run away from it. 🤣

Yes, I also think this is the one in which she lost her compsure and began swearing like a sailor LOL They always tried to keep in check themselves for the respect of everyone's work, but the fetid water and the coldness was too much

@@BlackGirlMarvel Didn't Lucy Lawless play something else on Hercules before she became Xena? I seem to remember something about having a child with a centaur. It was a long time ago though (when they were new) so I may not be remembering correctly.
@@celticlass8573 Yup! Before Hercules got his show, he had a film called Hercules and the Amazon Women and Lucy played an amazon. She might've had a centaur child (which they later recreated on Xena with a different character) but I can't remember that much lol

Really. I really love the india storyline... But there is just something about the 2 and 3 rd season... They are just the best
Agreed. Season 2-3 truly were the best seasons. Season 4 started out strong and Gabrielle has great character development but there were too many childish episodes there.
Everytime I mention Xena to my dad he remembers this episode and everytime get annoyed, because like he said: "They were how deep under water? That's nonsense. Look at this, they would have never survived." Chill dad.
Oh and I've been to that beach. I'm from Germany, so New Zealand is far far away. I'm so glad I could make it to this spot. 💖
Also, no one has ever been that deep underwater, especially in ancient times, so how did Xena know there were hydrothermal vents down there, lol

Wow, trapped in a wooden ship like the Poseidon adventure! Interesting! There are so many of the later Xena episodes I never got to see.
Poseidon adventure was metal cruise ship. This ship would be wood.
I bet that guy who claimed to be a killer decided to change his life after that at least I hope & the other guy is lucky he has such a good wife who cares about him unconditionally that’s the kind of wife I hope to be to my man one day

I don't really getting Xena's reasoning of saving a remorseless murderer who'll just probably kill more innocent.
I think it's because Xena doesn't like playing judge most of the time. She only kills in wars or when she becomes vengeful without Gabrielle there to stop and make her rethink her decision.
@@TranNguyen-sw7wu that's pretty much just a way to avoid responsibility because every people killed by that guy in the future is Xena's fault.
@@xxlCortez I haven't watched this episode in full yet so maybe I miss many details about the guy. But Xena has done terrible stuff in her past and she's changed, so I guess she must really believe that people can change.
Maybe she should have captured him? That would have been better.
