The music was so relaxing... then i got a sudden restlessness when the Cathedral bell sounded. Pavlov would have loved this game, for all the conditioning to certain sounds it does. Feels wrong to stand still and let time pass, there is so much to do...
Something I noticed: Mythologically air is associated with the spirit. This track sounds like bellows which squeeze air through the instrument to make music. Thats Grigorys quest: to put a spirit into a building / have buildings affect the spirit.
The track for Artemys home and lab in P2 is called Miracle Workshop. If you think about it a certain way, Georgiys workshop is another kind of miracle workshop, but it works different kinds of miracles. Artemys miracles are ones birthed from weaving earths herbs and human organs, they are miracles of life and nature. As Rubin puts it, "Weaving guts and soul." The Judges miracles, on the other hand, are something altogether different. The music captures it perfectly. Where Artemys is soothing and warm, like Mother Boddho herself is watching over you as you conduct your research, Judge Kains is a strange, ominous murmuring. It's eerie, you can't be sure of its source or if it's sentient, you can't be sure if it's mere presence suggests sinister implications. That is what the Kains are moving towards, something beyond humanity, something beyond the Earth and the old gods that birthed us, something that exists on a deeper level, something that we fail to understand, so it appears as frightening, but that won't stop the Kains.
Thank you, I’d forgotten about this track. For some reason the first time I came into this building I expected to find a dead body. It was such an eerie room.
the pathologic 2 soundtrack uses such a wild combination of instruments. i don't think i have ever heard a hurdy-gurdy used in a game soundtrack before. (or a prepared piano, which appears in some of the other tracks.)
Really loved the atmosphere in Georgiy's workshop. I was hardly there in my playthrough but it's very vivid to me still. Also, the audio really reminds me of Evrart's office in Disco Elysium. Similar enough droning and a ticking clock, just with everything pitched down.
still coming back to this video multiple times every week when I have to write essays, do readings, etc... Not sure if I would be finishing my bachelor degree this year without it
Id like to request a specific ambience, if you wish of course, at the end of the marble nest bachelor has his talk with his death, and in that dialogue the rain droping outside on the window and the music hits me a certain calming way. Love your ambient vids btw.
Too bad it's not in the official soundtrack, or at least I haven't been able to find it. I love these ambient synth tracks like Miracle Workshop and Higher than Sky, they are very soothing if somewhat depressing.
Happy I could help out! Also very happy to see there are other Pathologic fans out there who enjoy all this fairly mundane stuff and the videos I make.
I made a playlist with this and two more, where i've added a metronome at 53 'speed' with 4 pulses on the background (on my phone) and it is simply the best
Hey, I'd like to request a specific ambience from Pathologic 2. At the very beginning of the game, when you start in the theatre on Day 12, I found the ambience in that section of the game to be great.
I have been trying for probably too long to get good footage. I was wondering if perhaps a better alternative would be just to present in a podcast format, so just my voice, perhaps with some images instead of footage.
A man could do his life's work here.

A man of posture and pride. For better, or for worse.

Amazing comment
Incredible description of this magical, industrial song. It's like a Viktor Antonov painting given a breathing pattern.
Thank you, I’d forgotten about this track.

I always thought it was genius that they made the clock's tick tocks the rhythm of a heartbeat. Love this game way too much
the bell at 4:30 got my ass big time lmao... my inner monologue immediately was like "oh shit i have to be somewhere and i'm running short on time"
Thank you for finding time to do this! I really appreciate it!
Happy to help! If you ever have any more requests, please let me know!

Look out for Daniel Licht, the creator of Dexter and Dishonored's soundtracks.

A very nice track. I remember feeling especially uneasy in the workshop

Will do my best!

this song only plays in georgiy's workshop, but it is in the ost as a shorter version
@@j.carrotshorts1821 What's it called?
Thank you JC. Fantastic ambiance and great work doing all this.

i love this ambience so much, it's awesome to study to :)
Could you do the 1 hour treck with this melody? It's so melancholic and beautiful!

Thank you...
Kains is beyond of all
Does anyone has ambient sound of Gramophone? In Isidor's house at first day plague appears.
No more soil.
The essential stays the same
yeah alright

Hello. How's the analysis video doing?
