How does half wave rectification double voltage? How can you increase voltage without amplifying? The transformer is increasing the voltage, the diode is just half wave rectifying it. I mean, unless someone can show me the math proving half wave rectification will increase voltage.
It's very common in electronic and been done since the earliest days of radio. Basically, you charge two or more capacitors in parallel with the rectified AC. When the AC wave reverses, those capacitors are discharged thru diodes but they are in series because of the circuit configuration. It's possible to have 2X, 4X, or pretty much however much multiplication you want. Because there is no free lunch, current output is inverse to voltage multiplication minus minor losses in components.
It sounds like the microwave is working intermittently, it could be a tripped thermoprotector or defective thermostat. Could also be the touchpad, control board, or magnetron. My microwave runs and sounds like normal and the turntable moves but the food item such as a cup of tea on high is barely warm. Any ideas what could be wrong?
sams issue here. Everything is working except food or water is not heating. Did you figure out the problem
Not really. The heat is working a little better but not where it should be. The microwave is about 18 years old.
Mine is the transformer fuse. Need got go buy one. Hopefully the transformer is not dead.
Ares just broke my mama finna be mad
No worries i will explode 1.000.000.000 tnt in Minecraft and use my laptop
Just buy another one fawk it
Just throw away and buy a new one. Microwaves are cheap now
That's not good as it also costs money to constantly do that replacing the defective part(s) will cure any problem
I was excited to watch this vid. Afterwards, I went out and bought a new microwave. 🫤😢
Great video as usual! Thank you.
