    I love the info in this clip, But I can think of very very few examples where it's worthwhile for a company to open an entirely separate fully staffed location to rank better for one product keyword

      I get that. It's a big investment, so you'd only do it where there is a big payoff. Projects that have a big ticket price.
      Some examples I can think of:
      - "Car accident lawyer" for a personal injury lawyer
      - "Medical malpractice lawyer" for a personal injury lawyer
      - "Invisalign" - the case in this video
      - "furnace replacement" - for an HVAC contractor
      - "kitchen remodelling" - for a home builder or renovations company

    Hey! Great vid, do you guys have a full course or SOP on how to rank GBP's for local businesses? Didn't know about the Screaming Frog tool until I seen this. Would love to see what other tools/strategies you use all in one place.

      Hey Prasad! No, we don’t have a full course. Sorry. I guess you’re just going to have to watch every one of my videos! Haha

    At the 11:47 mark there's a map with ranking circles. What software is pulling that for you?

      That's Local Falcon. Whitespark will have a similar grid ranking functionality in its Local Rank Tracker soon: whitespark.ca/local-rank-tracker/

    I have a wedding florist business, however I do not have a physical store location, as this is out of my house. I also service more than just my immediate area, in fact I can go as far as an entire state away for some clients. I realize this video won't really help someone like me, could you make a video on how I can use Whitespark's services to help my particular local business? I know there's a way to have my GMB to NOT show my address, yet come up in local searches (I know because my competitors do, and I don't!!) I'd love to see how Whitespark can help me. Thanks in advance!

      Unfortunately, it's impossible to rank all over the state in local results (unless you pay for ads). Most businesses can typically only rank within a 5 to 20 mile radius around their verification address. If you hide your address and set service areas, that will have no impact on your rankings. Google doesn't use service areas for rankings. Your only options are:
      - Buy Google Local Ads
      - Target the different areas you serve in the organic rankings with "city pages". We have an article on this here: whitespark.ca/blog/rank-in-cities-with-no-physical-address/

    Great info and idea, except the part about changing your businesses name to include a registered trademark, which is illegal.

    • @WhitesparkCa
      @WhitesparkCa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, a few people have pointed that out now. I didn’t realize the term was trademarked. Wish I used a different example for the business name!

    Can I ask, what do you use to make/edit your videos?

    • @WhitesparkCa

      Thanks! Here's my process:
      - Script and plan the b-roll (gather examples and links of what I'll be showing)
      - Edit script multiple times
      - Record video and screen with Screenflow on Mac. I often have to say lines a few times to get them right. The raw footage is long and then gets edited
      - Send my raw recordings to the amazing @CarlGratiot to be edited
      - He does the cuts, assembles the b-roll, arranges the video, and adds the funny stuff (he uses Adobe Premiere)
      - We review together, making notes and tweaks
      - Finalize, write descriptions, make thumbnail and title
      - PUBLISH!

    Hello! I run a legal services practice in Ontario, Canada where paralegals can provide services within their scope. I'm struggling to choose between 'paralegal services provider' and 'legal services' as my primary category. I selected 'paralegal services provider' as my main category and included 'legal services' as a subcategory. I'm unsure if this is the optimal choice. My firm provides property assessment appeals services, landlord and tenant representation, provincial offenses, and small claims court assistance.

      @WhitesparkCa  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there. I would choose the primary category that most closely matches what you want to rank for. If you think more people are searching for "paralegal services", then go with "paralegal services provider". If you think more people are searching for "legal services", then go with "'legal services". Hope this helps.

    Interesting case, my competitor that rank always at first has about 30 words on a website from google blog . Semi optimized GMB listing. This scenario can not be explained with your video findings about the optimization of the website.

    • @WhitesparkCa
      @WhitesparkCa  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, you can definitely rank a website and GBP for multiple terms. Is your competitor ranking first for all those terms all over the city though, or just when you search from your own browser at your own location?

  • @user-rw7xd7qy3j
    @user-rw7xd7qy3j ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why do this when you can just optimize your current site to be more focused?

    • @WhitesparkCa
      @WhitesparkCa  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because your current site probably can't be so laser focused. Don't you want to tell your prospects about all your services, not just one? Imagine a personal injury lawyer. They cover many different types of cases and want to rank for all of them. It would be too much to do a separate site and GBP for every practice area, so I would advise this strategy for only the one main money-making practice area.
