Noce job David. I made the mistake of leaving wire on too long. But I have a few where it has abbed some interesting character, which, on my ficuses I further enhanced by dilburitly added more scars with semi parallel wiring. Gnarly yes, but interesting too. One elm is looking good from the same treatment. Love the videos

hello! I admire your work and strive to have beautiful bonsai like youself.
I am new to the art of bonsai but 2 years ago I grew 2 lemon saplings from some seeds. I decided to put them outside this year and they did really well but now it's getting too cold for them to be outside and want to bring them inside. Any tips for transitioning/growing them inside? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to repot them into better soil as well.
Very interesting to see this. I have 6 apple seedlings. I'm sure it will be a few years yet until I get to start designing. How old is the tree?
6 years old. But as I said it was from a root cutting!
Pretty big wire scars on the main trunk. Are apple trees pretty resilient about healing over scars like that, or is it a flaw that it will have for the medium-to-long-term future?
They heal over so quickly it's incredible! One year and it will be gone
