    About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s TH-cam Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
    The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our TH-cam Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

I was in Hanoi in 2007 and it just seems so much busier now than back then. I wasn't a big fan of Vietnam because I felt people were quite rude (coming from Thailand and Cambodia) and I imagine it's even worse now, especially in touristy areas. Such a shame on such a beautiful country. My best exprience with locals in Vietnam was when we went on a Easy rider motorbike trip with two Vietnamese drivers and left the beaten path for a week. I haven't been back since 2007 but would love to re-visit to see if I feel the same. Thanks for sharing guys! / Malin

Hey Malin! 😁 that’s so interesting that it seems busy but I guess it makes sense. From an economic standpoint Hanoi has become a major business hub and tourism has picked up from what it used to be in the North. We defiantly experienced the same rudeness your talking about but it seems that our generation has dropped a lot of that but the older generation has uh....fully embraced. I’ve never been smacked and pushed by so many women my mothers age in my life lol 😂😭 Everyone who has done easy riders has loved it! And they say that the people who drive are amazing but I think that goes back to easy riders being our generation. I think it would be worth going back but I’ll just never go back to Hanoi...at least in the ford eagle future 😁 ...lol in the foreseeable future 👍🏽

Chase for Adventure this is so spot on, I also noticed that the younger generation is much more respectful and caring than their elders. Most of them speak English and are very eager to chat with foreigners to practice their English and learn about western culture. I think a big reason for that tend change is social media. In Saigon I had a 45m chat with this one 6 year old kid who spoke near perfect English. His dad thanked me later for spending time with his son.

Thank you friend! And we had that happen a few times! And the people who had kids in elementary would bring them out on the weekend to talk to all the English speaking foreigners just so they could practice! 😁

I think vietnam tried to improve many things and the result is better.more and more tourists all over the world travel to vietnam. Now vietnamese people is one of the most friendly and hospitable in the world we are also one of the most safety destination according to some Newspaper and tourism magazine in many countries. You can check on google.
You also try vietnamese food. It's delicious and healthy.
You usually heard noisy because the accent of vietnamese. Don't notice it much ok.😁😁😁. Just enjoy another interesting things.

What I've been told by a Vietnamese friend is that a lot of middle-age to older adults do adopt the aggressive and rude personality as a norm, especially towards foreigners they can't communicate with.
Apparently younger Vietnamese tend to be friendlier and more accepting of different things and people, as well being more curious of the rest of the world.
So here's to hoping this harsh reputation shifts.

Oh how exciting!! So drinking by yourself is never a problem in the Old Quarter. We met so many people. There are tons of bars and coffee shops that have open plans and would meet people all of the time. Plus! If you stay at a place like Cheers Hostel in the Old Quarter, they have free beer every night and every in the hostel meets each other 😁It's not great beer but its beer lol

Some people like noisy some people not like it. Hanoi has both noisy place and quiet place. If you like quiet place let visit some pogoda, Ngoc son temple, Thang Long imperial city, Hanoi old quater...
