    Nice review of a lovely bike! I had the previous gen Infinito CV, but now have an Oltre CV both Celeste. I said on the Cinelli review I like the profiles and I still do, please do more...

    Hi George,
    Really nice bike!
    Is the CV a real improvement compared to the entry level CF setup?
    Regarding bar tap, could you explain how you wrap it without electrical tap in a video? I agree with you, it looks better 😀

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Mathieu yes the CV is a much smoother bike.
      I’ve done a video on wrapping bar tape without black electrical tape in the past. I will shoot another video eventually when I have someone to film me 😊

    Love the bike, as I have one, and love your review!! Speaking of proprietary stems, do you know where I can find the OEM 90mm stem for a 2023 Infinito CV just like the one you tested?? I have a 110mm but it’s too long for me. Any direction would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks Bill in Louisville.

    I am riding Infinito CV 2021, and have to admit this frame is very good in dumping road bumps. I've got the eTap AXS version, mainly because of its classical color Black/Celeste color scheme (personally, I do not like this new light/dark Celeste only color combination). Replaced stock Fulcrums with Vision wheels and very happy overall result. One thing I really do not like about this frame is the way the rear derailleur is attached to the frame. The groove in the frame is not exactly follows the hanger shape, and the hanger itself is attached by one tiny nut only. As a result, at least in my build, when I remove the rear wheel, the hanger becomes mobile and it can cause misalignment with thru axle nut, so it is hard to mount the wheel back.

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank You for the feedback on the hanger! This is going to a lady and he likes the absence of black lettering or accents. She commented that this is the first time she has a bike that has feminine color way.
      Thanks for watching

    Interesting that Bianchi no longer advertises the "CV" on the frame anywhere on this model. I have a 2016 Infinito CV and the CV is labeled in 3-4 spots on the frame.

    Awesome bike, I like the 14-29 ( yes Junior)cassette mixed with the 52/42 chain ring set, where I live forget mountains it's the nasty winds that will destroy any seasoned cyclist. I can climb hills around with no issues and the 42 chain ring allows for more speed with less spinning in the heavier winds. That is what I use on my 2 carbon bikes ( for this area around here in Ontario).

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      52/42 is old skool for sure!
      Wind - the endless climb 😂

    • @danfuerthgillis4483
      @danfuerthgillis4483 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SeeYouUpTheRoadYes sir indeed, cross chaining around here is very popular but there is a penalty for that in that you have to use a wider cage derailleur ( less noise when cross chaining) and have to use bigger sprockets to avoid the longer pedal stroke. Some frames can not handle a 42 small inner ring ( some older narrow chain stay’s 68mm BB frames) but newer 86 mm will work fine.

    hi, George. I just bought this bike. Mine is a 50, and it comes with a 90mm stem. But I am a trex. Can I put a 70mm stem on it? And can I get any rise?

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Paula - what is a trex? Also I highly discourage you to ride such a short stem. A 70mm stem is far too short and will compromise the handling of the bike. This is a generalization but short stems and high rise stems are glaring indications of the wrong size frame. On the other hand, medical history also needs to be taken into account when fitting a rider.

    I personally am fond of stems like the one shown here. Flipping the stem to slant upwards looks ridiculous and you probably have the wrong size frame.

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree that the flat stem is a better look than an upturned stem. However, I also have a segment of my consumer base that is 65+ with lots of money to spend on the bike they've always wanted and it could be a race geometry bike and they have to ride it with a full stack and upturned stem. For example, John Marino, the gentleman who invented Race Across America, 75+ and still getting out riding with 5 vertebrae fused in a surgery riding 130 miles 3x a week. It's not always as simple as saying this is the wrong size frame just because a stem is turned up. Cool video on my channel when he picked up his bike here th-cam.com/video/86Is3RBEA7s/w-d-xo.html

      @SeeYouUpTheRoad valid argument indeed. Luckily the Infinito has a long head tube already and inverting the stem could be used as a last resort.

    The only ugly thing is that bulb tape close to the stem

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a matter of opinion. 😉 I wrap bar tape this way so that you don’t have the disgusting black electrical tape on an otherwise beautiful bar tape install. That electrical tape looks like shit in just a few weeks of riders sweating all over it. Additionally, when you ride the bar tape like this the “bulb”, as you called it, it positions the palm of your hand comfortably and your index finger knuckle is crawled perfectly. To a one, every customer is amazed how much better they like the bar tape wrapped this way and not like every other bike shop on the planet with the eyesore black electrical tape.
      Thanks for watching and prompting me to tell you how awesome that bulb is on this bar tape install. 😍

      @Charles Man wax twine eh? Interesting
      It’s funny how some riders are not bothered at all by the chimney stack 😂
      The only issue with alloy wheels being this deep is they will be quite heavy. She’s 115 lbs dripping wet and one of our best climbers. I’m interested to hear her feedback.
      Thanks for watching

    • @SeeYouUpTheRoad
      @SeeYouUpTheRoad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gilletteguy787 yes that’s how I wrap the bar tape - what he called reverse. On my personal bikes I am a little more liberal on doubling up on the first wrap. Over the last 15 years I’ve realized that on customer bikes I need to ensure I do one complete wrap on the first loop. Especially if the adhesive sucks on the bar tape. Heavy sweaters break down any adhesive anyway.
