occy is such a great interviewer--john seemed much more relaxed and natural with him than in most interviews. like the answers flowed more. and i absolutely loved occy's description of john's backflip and how john remembered it== with stoke about how fun it was, not at all with some ego thing about how cool he was to do it. he just didn't bite on that. wish it had been longer. loving this episodes. hope they keep coming.

love surfing and most pros but my goodness it's annoying how often they say stoked...also annoying how much they mention how they can feel the "energy" of the ocean and all that spiritual crap...I surf...and yes u can feel the energy but only when a wave washes by or your getting tossed by it.
That's just the way occy is dude, if you want 'professional journalism' this probably isn't the place. He's just being himself. And how do you know occ had the chance to interview Jon Jon for anything more than 10 minutes?
