Doing my best!! Appreciate the support 😄
Definitely would see a bts of a commercial shot with this rig.
Nice ZV-E10 rig. Glad to see that I’m not the only one rigging up that little mighty camera 😅
Gotta make it look cool for the gram 😎
@@VisionaryFilmStudios 😅 right
This is such a great video 😊I have the Sony ZV E10,I’m using it for my TH-cam channel & short films. Plus I want to start back recording things in a cinematic way.
It's a great camera! Glad you're enjoying it 😀
Thanks for sharing this product info with us. All this RIG setup is going on my ZV E10. You gained a new subscriber today ......ME 😁
Welcome to the party my guy! 🔥
Great video. I have a few questions concerning the usb power. Is the original battery still insode the camera when usb powered? Ive also seen people say that the internal battery still drains when powering via usb is this so? And finally is heating up a problem when powering over usb? Thanks.
Awesome questions!
1. Yeah you need the original in the camera when powering via usb
2. Nope the battery won’t drain on you. I’ve powered it for 12 hours before using usb and the internal betters level never depleted. It actually charges the battery while you’re using the camera.
3. Nope overheating isn’t an issue
Hope this helps 😄 let me know if you have any other questions
@@VisionaryFilmStudios Thanks very much for that.
Hi. I am from india
I use sony nx 80 and zv e 10 and moza aircross 2 for film making.
Your video helps me.
Thanks a lot.
That’s awesome! So glad I’m able to help you out 😄
Just bought a used ZV-E10 on Amazon about 10 mins ago, almost pulled the trigger on the mark 2 but realized I still need lenses and accessories…
Good call friend 😉 I definitely recommend anyone to get the mki over the mkii
Amazing build, I checked the link of the high capacity batteries and it’s shown as not compatible with Sony zv e10
Yeah you’ve got to get the battery plate and connect them via usbc. They won’t go directly into the camera.
Is there any high capacity batteries which we can get in Australia?
Other than kastar batteries, we dnt get in Australia via amazon
Sorry to have many questions, I got all the parts but the monitor, I'm trying to get the following Portkeys PT6 Camera Field Monitor 5.2" 600nit but I see the output is 1080/60 HDMI and not 4K/30 as the one you listed. Should I be concerned by the output? The PT6 seems to be a better version of the PT5. Please let me know thanks.
Hey Daniel! Love the questions! No need to apologize. I’ve had it on my list all last week to look into this but things were pretty intense, so I’m just getting back now sorry about that.
So either monitor should treat you well. The PT6 hadn’t been released yet when I first got the PT5, which is why I don’t mention it in any of my videos. But since neither do external recording and are just for monitoring the footage & applying luts if desired, the difference between a 4k display and 1080 display really shouldn’t make a huge impact on anything. Unless you’re passing the signal through the monitor to another recorder, in which case I *think that you will still be fine either way as the fine print of the PT6 that I’m seeing does say it supports 4k input as well as 1080.
If you buy on Amazon, you could always give it a test and send it back if you aren’t happy 😊 hope this helps!
Great video! Can you attach this rig to a scorp mini gimbal?
You probably could leave the cage on it, but I doubt that the scorp could handle the whole rig. It’s a bit big even for my RS2 with all the rigging on it. But the scorp can definitely handle the e10 with just the cage.
Ok thanks so much
Nice looking rig…it’s largely function over form. But once you said you’re filming this video on the A7SIII nothing else matters. The ZV-E10 covers a lot of ground in a manner of speaking, but if the A7SIII ever becomes semi-affordable for non-filmmakers, I won’t need another camera. Peace.
Hey thanks for the perspective! I’m not 100% sure I followed your point about the a7Siii though, would you mind clarifying?
The a7Siii is definitely a better camera from a technical perspective. But honestly, if I were going to buy all of my equipment again I 100% would not buy the a7Siii. And I’m saying that as someone who makes a living shooting films and commercials. With the currently released Sony cameras in mind, I’d get the a6700 and 2 ZV-e10s (maybe just 3 6700s for the 10-bit color to make matching easier). And if I could get the full price I paid for the Siii now I’d sell it in a heartbeat.
I’m actually working on a video right now talking about all that and comparing the ZVe10 to the a7Siii. Planning to publish it next week.

For a lens I use the "Sony SEL-55210" can I still install the mat box with this lens?
If you get this 49mm to 67mm step up ring too then it sure will!

у меня такая камера вот дама по ригу
Great♥️✌️
💪🔥✌️
broo how the hell do u mount the rail plate under the zve10, the cage doesnt have the right holes for it
Did you use my links and get the small rig cage? It should have 2 quarter twenty holes that you can use to screw the base plate for the rail system to. I can do a quick recording and show if that’s help you out
awsome
💪🔥
Unstabilized rig, it’s hard to shoot like this with this caméra, without bad moovs
But nice vidéo
J’aime ta chaîne ! Merci à toi
Definitely need some sort of stabilization when shooting with this camera- handholding isn’t really a viable option for it.
Generally I keep it on a tripod, monopod, or spider. This rig works great with any of those methods 😉
Unless you’re using a bigger gimbal like a ronin or something, you probably won’t be able to use a gimbal with this setup though. For sure going to be too big for a crane m3 or rs3 to handle.
what's the weight and can you still mount to a tripod? would you recommend rigging up a light option?
Great question. I don’t have an exact weight but I’d say somewhere close to 5lbs (depending on the lens). I haven’t had any trouble with using it on my cheaper tripods. The ZV-e10 itself is pretty light already so unless you’re super conscious of size / weight, I personally wouldn’t be too concerned about rigging a lighter option than this. This one is definitely the lightest camera rig I own.
Well I was mainly asking about weight for use with a monopod. I’m assuming something like the ifootage cobra 3 wouldn’t have an issue. I was seeing cheaper ones collapsing under weight.
When I said “light option” I meant attaching an actual light to the cage lol
@@Steve_MP5 Light option lol my bad- yeah I'm not a huge fan of attaching a light to a camera rig. I know some people who do and I suppose it can make sense at times, but 100% of the time the footage will look better if the light is positioned to the side and isn't so fronal.
I'm not really a monopod guy myself, but I do really like the Onnorel VM70CK. It's the main one I use when I do break one out and it's held my ~20lbs a7siii rig no problem on numerous occasions. About a $150 pod. I also use some tripods that convert to monopods (I'll drop a link below) that's held this ZV-e10 rig with no problems in the monopod configuration. If you got something super cheap maybe it wouldn't hold, but the ~5lbs range I think you can definitely find some good affordable options that will hold up under the weight.

Is this camera good enough for free lance client work?
Absolutely! I've used it for big client projects a number of times. Thinking about making a video about shooting a tv commercial on it 😉
@@VisionaryFilmStudios I’ve been looking into getting a rig (budget is £1000 for everything including camera) not sure if I should get aZVE10 with a good rig or I should get a more expensive camera with less for the rig, any thoughts?
@@VisionaryFilmStudios please do make a video on it as I’ve been trying to find one and haven’t found any
@@JoshTisdale I would definitely get the ZV-e10 with the kit lens and the sigma 30mm f1.4- that should be right about at your target budget. If you could swing a good tripod too I'd definitely recommend that as well. That set up will treat you VERY well for a VERY long time and you can shoot some really professional stuff with that. I'll drop a link to a short film I made recently- imo you absolutely cannot tell it was shot on a sub 1k camera.
My Story Short Film: th-cam.com/video/O_ahHFXwkVk/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
I also made a video not too long ago comparing my ZV-e10 to my a7Siii. The TDLR version- the ZV-e10 is just as good. I'd definately wouldn't buy a camera more expensive than the e10 for your situation. Here's a link to that video as well if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/oJjqks1JP7Y/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@JoshTisdale I've had some other interest on a video about shooting a commercial on the ZV-e10 as well so I'll see what I can do. That's a bit more of a project than shooting bts for the short film was as I've got to convince one of my clients to let me make a bts video for their commercial.
In the meantime though feel free to drop any specific questions and I'll do my best to answer 😉
How much does this weigh in total?
I haven't weighed it, but I'd say something around 5 lbs.
@@VisionaryFilmStudios Thanks for the response. 🙂
