One thing about this game is sound design fucking killed it, the weight of the gun shots feels so satisfying and getting hoarded by mfs screaming off the top of their lungs in Spanish makes the combat feel even more over the top
The developers put a lot of passion and love into this game and actually focused more on a gameplay for the player instead of trying to grind money through microtransaction like its these days in a boring game but with cool graphics. This game has really everything that a good sandbox should have and finally a criminal game in which you can enjoy your dirty money not just buying ammos and clothes. Scarface movie really deserved a game like this. In most cases the movie into game or game into movie becomes a disaster. Not in this case. I am still playing it and enjoying it. Also I learned about the movie Scarface thanks to this game. And I am a big fun of both ever since. Sooo underrated game damn, what a shame. Radical games deserved a lot more fame and credit for their hard work and creativity. I am the only person I know that was into this game. I’m all in for a remaster/ remake. It really surprised me when all of a sudden you leave Miami. This game came out of nowhere for me. Think it was the last game I got on ps2. Oooh and that soundtrack.
@Austin Batton oh yeah didn't think about that. And every time the music copyright ends up being the hardest part. Even for the ps2 game they mentioned it was difficult to get the rights for the songs.
An alternate story was a good idea at the time because no one has ever done that before with an iconic character who dies in the movie. I would love to see them do it again with doing a Leon the professional game. An alternate story of what if Leon didn’t die and he continues to train and raise Matilda as a professional. She becomes his full on partner and Their Relationship blossoms into a possible romance now that she is an adult. I can see them bringing back Jean Reno and Natalie Portman for the game lending their voices and likenesses to it.
They have all those dialogue recordings just laying there. Hope the GTA Trilogy release make Activision reconsider releasing some sort of HD treatment of this game.
The massive details in this game are amazing! Tons of stuff to buy with your drug money, cars, boats, stuff to pimp out Tony’s mansion, buy fronts, invest in companies for big benefits like no money laundering fees, more ammo, tougher guards, weapons with upgrades, massive soundtrack, cool voice actors and so much more!
The greatest game from that generation of consoles by a mile. If it hadn’t been for GTA we more than likely wouldn’t of ever played it..they took GTA a fixed it into a world fans already knew about and expanded that movie beyond Tony’s death and that’s something that hadn’t been done before and hasn’t been done that good since if at all.

I remember this game, it was tough for gta clones back in those days and this was around the GTA San Andreas era and this story was basically already covered by rockstar when they made GTA Vice City.

When I first got my steam deck it was one of the first games I thought of that I had when I was younger for the PC. To no avail I couldn't find it anywhere let alone steam. I ended up with a rom instead and am reliving this along with...the sopranos...reservoir dogs...old GTAs...red dead redemption 1....tons of great games around this era. Now I have all of them on one device at all times...that's a handheld. Life is amazing.

You NEED to remake this game but in today's tech. you could make a game that makes GTA look like a cell phone app. This game was the best game of the early 2k. Well , GTA:SA kicked ass too .

That "Making Money" tip is only useful for like the first couple hours till you get the first warehouse so why not explain that aswell cuz if you do this exact tip through the whole game it'll probably take like 100+ hours
