    I can't tell you how happy I am to see you both again. Your garden plans are lovely and the quote at the end about holding it loosely is perfect. Can't wait to see more. God Bless

    I enjoy your videos so much! I’m looking forward to your individual new gardens growing! I started cut flower gardening (and vegetable gardening) a couple of years ago, and trying to add more each year. Your videos, your laughter and sense of humor always makes me smile!

    I love how you are making the videos mesh between the two different areas you are in.

    Such a lovely video! So fun to learn from others and while leaving your old garden behind, getting to reimagine new ones and develop them into more beauty is something to really dream and look forward to!

    I loved this so much! Your flower gardens look so beautiful. I am starting a new flower garden this year and definitely love the romantic look. I do like the look of the landscape fabric. It gives more of a structured design look. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Ah, My question has been answered as to whether you would continue your market gardens on your separate properties. No doubt both gardens will be lush and spectacular.
    I'm a cottage gardener in zone 7a and I will be following closely as you combine elements of both market and English into your gardens.

    I love this youtube channel. I am so glad I found this channel a few years ago! You two inspire me so much! You give great information, honesty, humor, beautiful pictures and inspiration. It's so refreshing that you tell your audience about the fails & hardships in gardening because clearly everyone has them. I think too many channels don't want to share those moments, which is sad because there is no such thing as perfection in the garden. I was a little worried about the channel when you guys told us you would be living in two different states & not gardening together.....just figured it wouldn't be the same anymore. But this is a great change because it still feels like you guys are gardening together, yet we get to see you and your gardens as individuals. Did I make sense there? 🤔 How exciting to be starting all new gardens! Wishing you both tons of success in your new gardens!

    Lovely video, and your gardens are amazing. Im kind of in a similar situation - I created a garden from scratch 3 years ago, it has been doing well, but I’m learning from my design mistakes and I’m ready to redesign/expand it. My gardening philosophy is very similar to yours, gardening is an intuitive practice for me too ❤

    It’s wonderful to see you designing new gardens. I too moved - Texas to South Carolina - and am designing a new-to-me garden. I have a lovely existing cherry tree in the front yard and planted daffodils underneath. The backyard is another story so watching you design new garden beds is ideal.

      Have you heard of Jess from “Roots and Refuge”.
      They moved…I think it was 2 years ago…but before the move she grew a lush and wild garden in Arkansas.
      There’s so many videos from before they moved that would be a great resource for you both.
      Hope that’s helpful!

    I’m so happy to have found your channel! This is the 4th season with my garden which is just a garden plot with rows of vegetables and flowers. I have been wanting to create a more beautiful 4 season space. I hope to learn a lot to apply to my own space. This is so motivating.

    This was a very inspiring video ❤. I’m new to this channel although I binge watched most of your content 😊. I can identify with gardening in a new area . We moved from the east, Pa to central Mo. slightly warmer zone from a 5 to 6 , but the weather is much more unstable here with wider and higher swings ! After 14 years I got used to it but still don’t care for the summer heat 🥵and the drought tendencies.

    • @rootdesigncompany
      @rootdesigncompany  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome! :) Yes, I think the heat and the drought will be two of my biggest challenges, along with the unpredictable temperatures. I’m going to plan for those challenges and see if it can be done. Last year when the 6 weeks of hot weather with no rain came I barely stepped foot in my garden, I was so discouraged. 😅 Here’s to behaving better this year.

    Only 1 questions. How you keep the deer out your gardens? I'm in Virginia USA. And. Deer is one of the big problems

    • @nic9042
      @nic9042 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had heard putting up fishing wire around your property. You can't see it, they can't see it, but they run into it and can't figure out how to get through. I wouldn't know by experience - just been told by many this is what they do. 😁

    • @rootdesigncompany
      @rootdesigncompany  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We have a dog, so that helps. Deer haven’t been a huge issue yet. Some years when they were (in our old garden) we scattered Irish spring soap around the garden to help deter them. Moth balls also help deter them, but they also can deter the gardener. 🤪 We have used critter netting to help with deer pressure.

    Just watching this episode and got this crazy question to ask. You tell captivating stories about your garden journey. Have you two considered just writing maybe inspiration short stories? You don't need to answer that. Lol... it's just me wishful thinking.
