  • Liz Davidson of Beyond Solitaire goes over all the axes and tantrums of the team berserker Tantrum. A great place to start learning how to play the irritable lil' bruiser of the party.

    This wasn't mentioned in the video...
    Hardy says "While hardy is active, any TURN your hp takes damage, the total is reduced to ONE. So that means if Tantrum has poison on him and on his turn he takes one point of poison damage, then he attacks and gets hit with Lashback or something, that second source of damage on his turn does zero damage. Hardy is awesome.

    I would love one of these vids for every character! So handy for a complex game that you're introducing to friends.

    Loving these videos and glad to see I've been playing Tantrum correctly. He's so much fun though I've never really utilised his rage dice much - I'll have to try them again.

    I absolutely love these videos. Waiting for my order of TMB to arrive (so getting pre_prepared) and these videos are so clear and helpful!
    Thank you so much for taking the time to put them together. I'm watching them all now (too excited about TMB not to!) but will then just watch them again for the Gearloc(s) I plan on playing.

    Thank you so much for these videos, is there a general how to play the game one you guys have made. This video was perfect to learn how to play tantrum and really highlighted a bunch of things I still don't understand about the game

      Yes! Every. Single. One! We don't have them all ready to go yet, but we have a lot. Slowly but surely working through the entire pantheon, including the upcoming Unbreakable Gearlocs!

    Thank you for the great explanation of this difficult character. It was very helpful. I'm wondering if I can use Axt Collector on a non-adjacent baddy, if I attacked another in melee in the same turn?

    Suppose Tantrum has first and second Rage die trained and is currently at rage 1.6. Trantum loses 2 health chips. A) Will 1st rage die go to 2.0 and Tantrum must enter cooldown or B) Can go to 1.8 rage first and then choose to upgrade to the second rage 2.0 skill dice?

    In an rule explanation video you should take care on correct execution of turns. So in this case the troll young un could only attack with ONE Atk-Die. Nevertheless, i am grateful for making this tutorials right after 4 years than game release. Maybe it is an good idea to do an explanation video about all baddies skills?

    Thanks a lot for this video. Can Tantrum use his axe against a non-adjacent monster with fly status?

  • @joelbloch08
    @joelbloch08 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice video, thanks. I have questions though :
    - when Tantrum lashes back, does he increase his rage by dealing damage?
    - can you use the anger management die only during Tantrum's turn, or at any time?
    - how do you gerable the horn? It seems you don't start with it, and you cannot train it.
    Thanks!

    • @kylemoore7746
      @kylemoore7746 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No one ever responded!
      - lash back does not increase rage as it is only when he attacks (rolls attack dice regardless of result) not exhausting the die from an active slot.
      - only can use anger management during tantrum's turn
      - pretty sure you'll only get the horn through "fortunate discovery" loot card... if you're playing a 3 to 4 player longer game you may find it but it's unlikely during a shorter 1-2 player game.

    Tantrum is a lot of fun. But I’ve noticed, the 3rd rage die is a bit of a waste.

      I mean depends, 1 shotting a 20pt is nothing to sneeze at.

    • @HansJoachimMaier
      @HansJoachimMaier ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@prototypep4 Yes, but you need a lot of turns to get there. There are better options.

    I would love to see this series becoming a printable FAQ for characters, so it could be quickly referenced when needed.
    A nice addendum could be important interactions with other mechanics, like rage and mischief (still weird that rage is removed by mischief, though it is just a thematic disconnect, mechanically it is clear), but otherwise very helpful
