I have tons of stumps around but how does one find a topper like this? Not sure I’m strong enough to lift a long this size home to rip. Maybe a wood shop?

I cut mine with my chainsaw mill, but I am sure you could find one from a smaller local mill. Either that, or find someone with a Wood Mizer saw mill and they would gladly cut you one.

How did ig hold up?
Made a similar, yet much cruder, bench and it looked worse then your broken one in 4 years only :(
Any tipps to keep them for longer?

Still holding up great. Perhaps it's the wood stain helping.

Yes, I left them entirely untreated, with rough finish and bark still on.
Will try some stain next time too!
