The gray tank should not leak into belly it should be sealed. If it is overfilled it will just not go down drain and fill shower pan. So you have a leak on top of tank someplace…
@@SailingLifeonJupiterplug shower drain, fill shower pan with water. Add food coloring and check for leaks. If none evident, pull plug, go under belly with flashlight to find leak. No leak, check shower drain trap u shape pipe fitting and make sure lock nut is tight. If no evident leak. Run water from shower. Now check under belly while water is running. Sometimes leaks only leak when water is running!!
I believe when it says no trucks over 40’ means semi with 40’ trailer. On semi tractor trailer the wheels are on the very back of trailer so the wheelbase is much longer and will cut corners more. Your trailers wheels are close to the middle so in reality you have the wheel track of a 20’ semi and trailer. for almost all double line highway roads your trailer is gonna be ok.
Hi love your channel but you no you can get little ladders for little people just joking sorry about your Leek pal good channel 👍 👍💯💯💯💯🐾🐾 love your dog to 👍
Those length restrictions are on the trailer ONLY, not including the tractor. IOW, no truck with trailers over 40' such as my 53' dry van. It doesn't matter if I'm driving a day cabs or a condo sleeper which would increase my overall length. Your overall length is 60', but your trailer alone isn't 40' long. Both FedEx and SAIA trucks were day cabs pulling 40' pup trailers. Overall length ~60'.
@@SailingLifeonJupiter No. I still get nervous when going up and down mountains fully loaded and on hairpins like that. Gravity doesn't sleep. And in the other lane could be an idiot. Performance anxiety helps improve your performance and keep you looking out for the worst-case scenario and avoid it. Overconfidence is a killer.
Don't try that at Vermont Smuggler's Notch - Fines begin at $1,000.00 and can increase to over $4,000 😂 Vermont State Law states that single vehicles greater than 40' in length, or combination vehicles (vehicles with trailers) that are greater than 45' in length, are prohibited from operating in the Smuggler's Notch segment of VT Route 108. Fines begin at $1,000.00 and can increase to over $4,000 for a second offense.
You should review your warentee paperwork. I'm most cases you violate your ENTIRE Rv warentee by traveling with fluid in any of you tanks. More importantly, blackwater is considered a hazardous waste and you need special signage and permits to transport it.
Funny I watched you sailing during the pandemic and just wondered this morning what you were up to. I'm in Boston if you ever make your way over here. Started my own channel because of all the TH-cam I watched during the lockdown.
With all the troubles you’ve had with that 5th wheel ( not to mention cost of the RV and the truck) I wonder if finding a live-aboard marina for Jupiter on the west coast (if there are any) wouldn’t have been more economical? Just buy a car for exploring and save a buck.
@SailingLifeonJupiter Yeah, American RVs look cool, but they are flimsy and poorly thought out, by and large. Small issues cause disproportionate problems. Bad roads do, too, which they should not. At least the trucks aren't bad.
So first you say, "I have no interest in cold weather camping."
The very next episode is ... COLD WEATHER CAMPING in Arizona.
Ya, who woulda guessed! Hehe, cheers TF
screw that. Jupiter is looking pretty good right about now.
We are looking forward to including him again. But no time soon.
I had to take my BP watching you drive through the tight S-bends with that huge long RV! Cheers from Chris in Australia
We got away with it this time…phew. Cheers Chris
It would have been really something if it tasted like saltwater 😮
Hehe, looking forward to tasting salt again.
That strap may wear a hole in the tank they say a 5 wheel is like a 7.5 earthquake going down the road....take care friends😊😊
I would consider closed cell foam board when you replace the insulation. It’s needed for heat protection too, that black top will heat things up.

That's a good point 😢
Think you’re right. I’m suspecting shower to tank join… belly will be coming off again when I get a chance.
I shared this last week!

They're talking more like about tractor trailers that are hauling doubles not a truck pulling a camper
your dog is so well behaved. I feel like you should have bought a C class RV not a truck and fifth wheel. But I guess every option has its drawbacks

That makes sense. Hard to interpret what they mean except for literally. We got away with it!

I love the 28’-30 ft fifth wheels. They are very roomy these days Thanks for another great video! 🥂⛵️⚓️

Ah good to know. Woulda made less stress had I known. Cheers

Don't you wish those fifth wheel could have rear steering? That could be great!

Ooo… see! I hope they have somewhere to turn around!
YOU can do it Captain ! 😊
Looking at your GPS Map screen, the road looked like a plate of spaghetti. 😂
It was pretty curly! Always an adventure. Cheers

Yup, the snow is beautiful but a PITA at the same time. I'd rather be sailing in the tropics.

Ah..welcome back Stanley…yes, Jupiter2 is moth balled for now.
@SailingLifeonJupiter I'm sure she misses you brother. Safe travels. Hit me up if you make it to Beantown.

The insulation isn't just for the weather it has a lot to do with noise and the floor when u walk
Who's Idea too bye such a big Caravan 😮 lol
Certainly has its challenges, hehe. Cheers
🆒💙🌎✌🏽😇 .
When are you guys getting back on the water
Likely another year or so. We can’t really do both. Reckon we will be done RVing after 1 more summer.
have you considered building an aluminum rv?
This thing IS Ally frame…very thin stock tho and horribly built.

come on mate you're an ozzy just go for it, the yanks always overreact.
hairpin bends ??
Think ur right about that. Can be embarrassing if it went wrong tho
Go back to the boat
