The best way I combat comparison is praying for the person I'm comparing myself to! If it's a friend getting married (which is something I long for) I pray for their marriage etc. Prayer really changes everything 💛
The most helpful part was that we can’t please God and please people/the world. So true!

I have a habit of comparing myself to others sometimes Kaci. I am
Mildly autistic. I have asperger syndrome. It’s ok! I used to compare myself and said I wanted to be normal because I was bullied and discriminated against because of who I am. I always wanted a spouse and Deep down inside I used to be jealous because I didn’t get a spouse and I’m single. I love your videos! It makes me look at things from Christ perspective every time I put him first. Just pray that I will celebrate when others find their spouse and I don’t rush into it or focus on it too much Kaci Nicole. I want to be a better man in Christ. I need not crave a spouse soo much. Thank you for your prayers.

I've stopped comparing myself to others and I now compare my current life with how bad my life COULD be and that makes me feel a ton better 😆
To be honest, as a 34 yo single woman longing to be married and start a family, it has been hard not to compare to others. Especially Christian women on social media to the point of avoiding any of their videos about their relationships or babies etc (even your Kaci as much as I love your channel and content)
I wanna confess this and ask God for freedom from envy. I want to rejoice for my sisters and their blessings whilst trusting and patiently wiaiting for God’s will to be done in my life.

I send so much tenderness to you ladies. God never lets us down. He has a plan in all of our lives and nothing goes to waste. Your the apple of his eye, cling to that.
I'm struggling with comparison and envy cause I think other's life is better than mine. It's hard cause I want to have that job or that kind of life. I ask God for help I want to be a grateful women and apreciate what God has done for me. I'm his daugther no matter what my circunstances are or what season l'm going through. We find peace, love and plenty in God.
I watched this video yesterday and then this morning I was led to the verse 2 Corinthians 8:10 godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. When we feel badly because we are comparing ourselves to others this is a worldly sorrow and not a Godly sorrow. Great video!!!!
I needed this because i was comparing my life to yours wishing that I had been as spiritually mature when I was your age and that I had done as good a job as your mom did in raising you. This has helped me to focus on moving forward and being greatful that God brought me to a place of spiritual maturity from where I was when I was younger and to use my experience and what God has taught me to further His kingdom. I just found your channel this past week, it is a blessing that God led me to connect with your channel. I have been inspired and encouraged by your videos. I pray that God will continue to bless you and Tyler as you both seek to encourage, uplift and inspire people by living out your faith.

Thank you for the encouragement Kaci, I struggle alot with comparison especially when I see young people my age doing good and things just don’t seem to be working out for me. But comparison is the thief of joy! And I’ll definitely celebrate others because God has allowed good to happen to them and when the time is right He will shine his favor on me too!

My 13 year old daughter is firm in her faith, loves Jesus, and is in church whenever the doors are open (which is all the time) ☺️
I notice her comparing herself to others and even looking to her peers for validation 😔 It’s taken her down the road of self harm before she was even a teen. I cannot imagine being a child in today’s society especially with social media and cell phones. 💜

I struggle with this too , not as much as before God has been helping me a lot . But what I find is when I spend time with God, He becomes my greatest delight and I’ll never lose God - and it really helps change your heart on the comparison trap .
I also realised the enemy caught Eve on the comparison trap. She had it all , made in the image of God , no sin , no temptation , no pain etc . But thr enemy made her focus on the one thing God said she can’t have … this really
Helped me too .
Also to mediate on - Proverbs 14:30 that says a sound heart is life , but envy is rottenness to the bones. Pray this helped someone

I have to share this …condensed version…but nonetheless essential healing!
The day after my husband and I got married..he said to me “you need people more than people need you”.
I had a tendency to be a people pleaser, consumer of others lives.
What truth I experienced was about a year later of freedom and change and I started leaning in to Jesus, leaving behind toxic people, relationships etc. I had to get alone with him to see my relationship with him came first.
I had..notice the word had, journals of garbage that had consumed my attention. I have since gotten rid of all of the journals, laughed at my ridiculousness and put my worth where it belongs. I haven’t looked back, I am at total peace and I’ve learned to not have expectations of others, and love people where they are. Show the fruit of the spirit. I absolutely believe and trust in that scripture. It was what I clung to everyday when I woke up and knew Satan wanted my soul. I am here to tell anyone that if you struggle like I did with deep ache to be accepted and loved by others allow Jesus to a lunch date like I did every week. It’s no joke, I went and sat in a chick fil a restaurant and brought my materials, bible..journal etc and I sat there for hours!! I was able to grasp and even share my testimony with others sitting there by myself. Some would ask to talk, to meet me. I ministered to others in that same spot every week. I even had my 3 year old with me and he had so many children to play with while I sat close by. He got what he needed and I did too. He now works for Chick fil a!! He’s 16 years old. He’s a Christian as loves Jesus ..stands up for truth in a high school where faith lacks. Stay strong in faith ladies, let the Holy Spirit invade your space everyday and everywhere to everyone.

I truly appreciate this , which I need. I frequently compare myself to those that can speak so well in church without being loss or stumbling over their words . I have an awful time with that, not sure if Im getting my point across to others when im ministering to others. I will try to compliment and celebrate those that can articulate points when speaking. I have learned so much since I tuned into your channel. May God continue to lead you in your teaching of His word. I think it is amazing that I found this video when I did. I have recently been struggling with low self esteem in regards to all the pitfalls of comparison out there. You are so right about trying to use social media in a positive way if you allow yourself to engage in it. I personally have decided to significantly minimize my attachment to social media because that is what is right for me personally in my life right now. I need to refocus my eyes on what I have and my own gifts from God. It is so very easy to wish for things that others have. Like you said, that is sin. I saw another comment that included one of the most real quotes I have ever heard "comparison is the thief of joy". There has been way too much thievery in my midst lately. I want to make that change in my life. God wants me to make that change.

Thank you for sharing this Truth!!! It's a great reminder that when I compare myself with others that it's envy, which is sin. Praying for forgiveness so I don't have to battle this on my own. I struggle with this in different seasons of my life often and I know it's when I get my eyes off of what God has gifted me in doing for His Glory. Personally I am going to be a senior in High-school and after being homeschooled the past year I will be going back. I’ve been saved and born-again for about 2 years in October. As I’m desiring to go to school this year to make a change an be the light, I’ve been starting to compare myself to my schoolmates I’ve grown up with. Thoughts like “Everybody had a glow-up and I look the same” so it’s that kind of what I’m dealing with. I’m trying to cast down these thoughts and realize that I may have not changed externally but internally since I have grown in the Lord and truly love Him. Thank you for sharing and allowing your obedience to be a confirmation that there is an open door to envy and I have to lay it down.. be blessed sister 🙌🏽
Kaci for me it’s respect youth of today don’t respect their elders. They believe titles make them better than others. Yet life lived gives wisdom. People generally don’t know what you have done in your life. All they see is you now. Not how you got there and the sacrifices you made to get there. They see themselves as better this is a struggle and a challenge for me. I don’t compare myself to people of my own age because we have adult children who have done well for themselves.
Good stuff, Kaci. I must confess that as a senior adult who has been in comparison mode for so many years, I find it easy to think; "Why start now to change this bad habit? What can be gained at this late point of life?" But the answer to that question has to do with what you say about seeking the glory of God, and not of myself. I also appreciate your insight that comparison to anyone other than Jesus is just a form of envy, and envy is a sin. You've given me some good things to think and pray about - and I thank you.

This message was just what I needed to hear, even though I didn't even really realize that this was something I was struggling with recently! You are right that these truths about comparison bring so much freedom - when we stop worrying about where we're at in comparison to others, we can shift our focus to God and His Kingdom. It is so comforting! It is so easy to become trapped in what the world says about looks, success, etc., and we need to remind ourselves every day to see ourselves and the things around us GOD'S way, instead of the world's way.

Hello Kaci 😊 i’m new to your channel and you seem like such a positive and happy person. I’m trying to grow a stronger faith in God and I keep trying but fail every time through horrible intrusive thoughts, insecurities, hurtful voices, and just a complete lack of focus and self-discipline😔. Whenever I see someone else doing better with their relationship with God, it makes me feel as if I have no hope and that God will never forgive me. It’s gotten to the point where sometimes I don’t even know if I can feel the Lord’s presence. All I want is just to do better with myself and show God that i’m willing to make a change 😞. If you have any advice or prayers, I would love to hear them.
Repentance and putting faith in Jesus Christ is the key.
God must REALLY want me to hear this message today. Just last night I did a deep dive into Genesis 30 - the whole thing between Rachel and Leah. It was CRAZY to really dig into that and understand why they did what they did. But GIRL, that was their CULTURE! They were two hurt women just trying to feel like they mattered comparing themselves to each other! Leah wanted her husband to love her; Rachel wanted to have kids, but it turned out that Rachel got Jacob's love and Leah got the kids. I can totally understand it if I look at it from the culture of the time. And I can see myself in both of them. The best part of it is that God worked through them regardless of their dysfunction. He still heard their prayers and he still answered them.

Hey, Kaci. I’m 28 and I am prone to comparing myself to others because I never had a girlfriend or kiss. I know that’s not your intention, but a lot of your relationships vids give that vibe of feeling bad when I’ve never found anybody. Could you address this?
And like when someone does not play any video games. They can't compare. That's so silly
More like people need to stop rubbing their marriages in my face and giving me grief because it makes me angry and sad. If god doesn't care about my happiness despite having the desire for a wife then these married people need to stop expecting me to be happy for them because I never will.

1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1 Corinthians 14:35 - And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

I don’t have any social media outside of TH-cam and I watch mostly Christian content and I definitely do compare my self often or as you mentioned, want what they have. Most content creators I watch were raised Christian so I often compare my life to them. I want a close knit family that are strong Christians, which is exactly the opposite of what I have, I want to have known the Lord since I was little, which I have only known Jesus personally for a year and a half, and especially, those that are married/pregnant/have a family, outside of seeking God and knowing Him more, that’s what I desire most. I even notice it in the littlest things. Thank you for speaking up about this and shining the light on it. 🤍

This made me cry! I've been TTC for a few months and we got married around the same time and I couldn't watch your video on the announcement. It feels harder than usual cause this feels out of my control😭 and my heart is not OK but yeah it is envy
