Total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 in North America

แชร์

  • เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 พ.ค. 2020
  • This simple Google Earth Pro animation shows the lunar shadow movement across North America on April 8, 2024. Apart from the total shadow, other areas have been highlighted. They are related to some phenomena, which accompany the deep partial phase of solar eclipse like:
    - Baily's beads estimated range (grazing zone)
    - Opposite horizon brightening visibility,
    - Solar photosphere & prominences visibility
    - Possibility of seeing the solar corona under thin crescent sun conditions.

Your best view would be in lake placid ny or saranac lake or Wilmington NY.
Those are all high up areas in Adirondack they say will be awesome view!! I live 30 min north of saranac or 65 miles from Montreal. In those areas I mentioned, when a clear night, the stars look as if u could reach up and touch them. They are so beautiful. They call this Gods country, because such a beautiful area.

You should check out the annular solar eclipse in October 2023. You should be in a good place to see it also. The paths of both of them intersect basically in SA. We are from NE Texas, right where the 2024 path is, and thinking about going down there to see the 2023 one.

since you can see the corona during 93% obscuration faintly, can you see the corona during a thin ring of fire (annular solar eclipse)? like the eclipse on june 21st 2020 was about 99% obscuration and wondered if the corona was visible then

    • @mariuszkrukar950
      @mariuszkrukar950  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes indeed! Check images on Facebook. Corona during ASE 2020 was visible quite well. Moreover, even in Feb 2017, people managed to capture prominences and faint corona just before IInd contact.
      I've covered it here:
      astro-geo-gis.com/solar-corona-visibility-before-after-totality/
but you can search for more on the web.
Check the last annularity in the USA, because I saw images with nice prominences, although I don't certainly know how they have been captured.

  • @ankharahallstrom1580
    @ankharahallstrom1580 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

I can't wait! It's going to be 95-96% here! Not quite totality but pretty darn close! I experienced 77% in 2017 and it was AWESOME! Saturday's got rained out and I was so sad. It was only 30% so maybe I didn't miss much. So excited for April 2024

    • @mariuszkrukar950
      @mariuszkrukar950  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Since you are expecting 95% try to catch the faint solar prominences! They will be visible roughly at the sun crescent's horns. I've seen them in 2017.
      astro-geo-gis.com/solar-corona-visibility-before-after-totality/
Moreover, you should be fairly able to see shadow columns passing by your observation place. I don't know where you are, but assume that somewhere in Houston. In a case such as this watch the northwestern horizon around the greatest phase. Best regards!

April 8, 2024 will be very interesting. Hopefully, several different parties❤️are doing a scientific experiment with Pendulums and gravimeters in Mexico❤️
    .
at noon. If the Moon’s shadow were to move over Finland, for example, and❤️
even early in the morning or late in the evening, nothing special would be❤️
    .
noticed in the movement of the pendulums. This would be due to the❤️
fact that the energy coming from the center of the Earth, which would be❤️
    .
pushed out towards Finland, would not move towards the Moon and the❤️
Sun. Mexico is much closer to the equator than, for example, Finland❤️
    .
And now a total solar eclipse will happen at about noon. Was it 12.14❤️
Now a lot of energy from the center of the Earth is moving through the❤️
    .
shadowy area towards the Moon and the Sun. Unregistered dark energy❤️
particles are pushed into the countersphere for a long time. The❤️
    .
particles that transmit the pushing force push through each other again❤️
and again. Their internal pressure increases. The energy in them is❤️
    .
spread over a larger area. Internal movement / time is speeding up. The❤️
interaction with the substance intensifies. Here’s an explanation of❤️
    .
why you might notice some vague movement in pendulums and❤️
gravimeters on April 8 if you’re doing a science experiment in Mexico at❤️
    .
noon when there’s a Solar Eclipse. When you understand / figure out the reason, You will
    .
be able to explain the tidal phenomenon without a pulling force and without curved space❤️
    🤔
The closer the Moon’s shadow moves to the center of the Earth as seen from the Moon,❤️
the bigger the Allais effect on the pendulums you can see.❤️
    .
Experiments should also be done with devices that pushing tennisBalls into the air❤️
See if the length of the flight differs during the Solar Eclipse compared to the normal situation❤️
