I think people usually give tierlists too much importance. Tiers are real and useful, but not definitive. MU, reads, the crowd, the mental and emotional state of the players... A lot of other factors play an equal role in a game. Falco having great mechanics doesnt mean he doesnt have counters. And the usual; amsa plays a lot of falcos and foxes in a couple tournaments, mango plays against yoshi once or twice.
Brian Baez how is he wrong though? Even without MU experience Mango is playing a character that is arguably top 3 in the game overall and the commentators make it seem like it’s an equal matchup

I meant more like, the commentators both being spacies players so they tend to make more emotional statements from Mango's POV, like at 8:37 with HMW being like "Oh, I hate that" after seeing Yoshi using his superarmor or 7:17 with HMW sounding annoyed at Yoshi being able to live through two upsmashes. Or stuff like at 10:19 where HMW calls Yoshi's superarmor a cheat-code, says that your everyday Yoshi does what Amsa does, and then implies that praise for him about that is overblown. Or 4:28 with Chillin calling Mango "my man" and continuing to hype him up, etc. But you know, it's debatable, maybe I'm just reading their statements wrong.

It's a perfect shield. Yoshi's shield has some very unique properties. When the first few frames of Yoshi's shield activate, Yoshi doesn't look like he's shielding.
