    RULES:
    White has a king and eight pawns, against Black's king, pawn, and four knights laid out like so. White’s pawns can still promote to any piece. Since black has the advantage, you can also play where black has only three knights on b8, c8, and g8 instead of four. En Passant is allowed like normal. The first player to checkmate their opponent, wins.

    The rules are same as regular chess, except for these changes.
    Wow, I expected “You know the drill, check out this video” but whatever, a really cool chess variant.

    Imagine doing En-Passant in a game where your oponent (or you) only has one pawn, the biggest flex to show to your friend.

    Interesting setup. But I was expecting the game where the pieces are set up where the pawns usually go and vice versa. First the aristos get executed (mostly by other aristos) then the pawns fight it out among themselves.

      ....aand we wont even talk about board sizes. There's a half-chess variant with no pawns. Your first rank is RQKR. Your second rank isNBBN. Very tactical and fast games. This will be fun until it becomes popular and opening theory crazed. The pieces have the same moves, so it doesn't mess up your 'chess brain'.

    Hey when you did the checkmate section it's not a checkmate as all the pawns can take out the one knight and then the game continues

      That position is 100% a checkmate.

      Even if the one pawn on the left takes the knight on top, the black knight on the left still checks the king, so white can’t do that.

    It looks very haard to checkmate for black, and if he loses his pawn then it's almost done. This variant seems draw-ish

      Well, I checked it on engine (lichess), and it gives a -6.3 points advantage for black if it has 4 knights, and -2.1 points advantage for black if it has 3 knights.
