    I was afraid to do it by myself but after watching your valuable video, I decided to do it and it went fine of course with the help of two floor jacks 👍😁👍

    For safety: Preferably jack up a car on concrete without any slope, in other words horizontal. Thanks for posting, good info.

    One thing you should mention...is keeping the front spindle from dropping too much or the CV shaft will pull out of the transaxle. Mine did and it took me longer to get the splines back in than the actual strut swap...LOL! Most people pull the axle nut. On the second one I used a small web strap hooked to the brake caliper side and the body brace by the fuse block to support it. Good job man.

    I did the rears and had to unbolt the control arm, loosen brake line brackets. Driver side had to make sure not to damage the vent canister. The passenger side was another story. I had to cut & grind off the lower bolt. Then I purchased a 14mm x 77 bolt at Tractor Supply to replace the broken lower bolt. but it was worth it to replace the old leaking & rusted struts.

    i want to replace the fronts only. worried the fronts will never level out with the older rears. People were saying on amazon that these are not the correct height. Sucks something so simple has to be so complicated with such crappy parts.

    Can you let me know where the front center jack point is on the car? I wanna put the jack stands on the sides, but I’m unsure where I can jack up on the middle

    • @projectsbyj25
      @projectsbyj25  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There should be a subframe brace underneath the car towards like the back of where the engine sits. If u are looking at this angle from the front of the car, u should see a brace that dips almost like a wide “u” shape. That’s usually where I jack it from.

    Ps...let me know how...or IF you ever pulled your rear rotors...and how you got them loose...mine are seized on, and most mechanics say you have to split them with an angle grinder and buy new ones.

    • @projectsbyj25
      @projectsbyj25  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have swap the rear rotors before. Luckily mine weren’t seized so a little tap from a rubber mallet made it come off. Try spray it with a lot of penetrating fluid and see if that helps.

    Hows rhe ride now? (In comparison with before)

    • @projectsbyj25
      @projectsbyj25  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not very noticeable difference. My before shocks were still in good shape. Just my right rear was squeaking so I ended up just replacing them all. The ride is a bit stiff but that’s normal for aftermarket compare to oem parts. Once I get new tires and bigger size, it should make for a more comfy ride. But for now it’s decent. No crazy driving or off roading, just normal driving so it’s good for it.
