I love this little amp. I have one in my studio and use it a lot for my videos into a Zilla 2x12 cab. The Lionheart is my go to and has been for over a decade at this point. Such an awesome amp.

I bought and used this model about 8 years ago. The clean and crunch mode is really good. Didn't care for the high gain mode. But the clean with a tube screamer in front is good. I did like the option of using it without a speaker and it could output to FOH with speaker emulation. You can also re-amp easily for recording into a DAW.

I got the 15Watt ‘Studio” model back in ‘18.
    It’s a versatile little beast.
Same front panel as the ‘bigger’ bois apart from the extra 1Watt/Silent Running input jack.
    2 x EL84 output stage.

I love my little Laney Cub-Super 12 - it's very affordable, powerful and expressive, with a surprisingly open sound for its size (until you push it to stupid levels). I started playing in the '70s, when a full Marshall stack was almost expected even for a half-successful local band, so it's quite a revelation to realise just how good a 15 watt combo can sound!

I got one - love it. Does so many different tones, plenty of power for gigs but also does silent practice. Can switch channels with footswitch. Fx loop. Direct out. V underrated imo!

Does the shark have a name? Was that discussed in a previous episode? Kind of color coordinates with the Strat.
My less important question about the amp - How flubby/loose is the bottom end with humbuckers? I hate having to use a separate drive pedal to tighten because then to switch to clean sound you have to switch channels and also turn off the OD pedal, so you need a programmable switcher, etc. But high gain is sounding clear here with the singles. Wondering if it turds up with a bridge humbucker.

Your playing, as always is f**king great! And I'm not saying this as a dig, or to be sarcastic, but I genuinely love that you have the 'product' balanced on a cardboard box. I'm not sure how I'd feel if you moved to some kind of super slick studio with multiple cameras to film these things.

Jack Thammarat is a Laney guy and one great guitarist I found a number of years ago. I was always intrigued with the Laney amps because of him, but for convenience and because I don't think anyone sells them where I live, I bought the Helix LT and some Focal Professional monitors for home use...and have not looked back.

I have this amp in a 30watt combo version. It’s pretty versatile. Clean channel takes pedals well. Effects loop works good. A lot of options. I never use the di stuff but as a amp the combo is a good buy. Bought mine in like 2016-2017 something like that I think. It’s been a while. No later than 2018 for sure. I did have a pot fail and had it replaced. Other than that it’s been great.

I own a Laney IRT SLS 300 and it sounds as good as any amp I have ever played, I have owned dozens of amps, I currently own a friedman deluxe 50, PRS Archon 50, Marshall 205 JVM, I dare say it can hang with the big boys because it is one of the big boys, when I bought it to try I thought it would just be ok but man was I surprised, it turned out to be fantastic I love it for sure, its a keeper for me, I would suggest that any guitarist give it a try you will be surprised like I was, I had wanted one for years after seeing Paul Glovers demo 5 years ago, now I am sorry I waited so long, cheers from Florida John, love your channel.

Where to begin. Their heritage is one of the oldest amp companies in the uk. It is still british owned. They still make some of their amps in the uk. Used by many stars over the years. Justin hawkins plays them guthrie govan uses their powered cabs with modellers. I have several laneys over the years, mate of mide had a silver jubilee re-issue head and sold it for a laney gh100l as it burued it in terms of dynamics and tone, and the lionheart series try the 50w head and tell us what you think. Great channel, but time to put those moddeling toys away and wake up and smell the amp coffee i reckon.

i have some tube amps.my first tube amp was laney irt 60 head.well tbh i was searching for a high gain amp and after i saw 1000 videos at youtube i deside to buy it.first impressions was really negative because even with maxon at front the amp was really weak for metal sound.the amount of gain is not so much.so i deside to buy evh5150 .the amount of gain is day night with laney BUT.....
i didnt like at all the robotic sound of the evh,too much comp comparing with the laney who have tight and natural gain.i bought some others amps and i never been happy with any amp.then i tried digital ampsand i droped them fast, after i tried biasfx ,i spend so much money for active monitors, software updates omg what a nasty trap ,focusrite....i spend 1000 euros and the sound is terrible bad.btw stay away from DAW ,biggest trap.
so after all i still playing with my first tube amp,the laney irt60 .it takes pedals better than any amp i tried so far.personally i believe that irt is not a high gain amp but its a overall somehow amp with nice clean and tight gain.without maxon at front the amp is for classic rock sound and dont believe anything you hear at youtube.just go and try ,not like me the azzhole lol
