    I have been to about 8 of their concerts and Timmy's low notes, well lets just say, they hurt your heart in a good way.......they make it beat like it has never beat before..........and he's one of the nicest guys in the whole entertainment world. Chatted with him a couple of times, and he talks just like a real normal man's voice!!!!

    What is interesting, many of these super bass singers can go lower than they really ever do, and what people think is possible. I hear incidental fry (especially on glottal stops) from Tim, Geoff, and some of the others that are definitely into the 0 octave, and maybe even the first negative octave.

    • @TheMusicalPotatoes

    In one of the clips of Folsom Prison Blues he hits a F1 that sounds pretty chesty

    • @BassManMatteo
      @BassManMatteo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also I don’t think that Eb1 in house party is chest, it sounds like either growl or a kick from Adam

    • @BassManMatteo
      @BassManMatteo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Also I’m pretty sure that A0 is actually an A1, Tim once said that the lowest note he’s recorded is the B0 in fishin’ in the dark.

    • @RCMusic-x1d
      @RCMusic-x1d  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Eb1 soundy thing, you can’t hear it without headphones but if you put headphones it sounds very chesty so yea. Oh and it sounded like an A0 but I’m not 100% sure if it is because the A0 in sold is the adams

      @RCMusic-x1d  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh it’s chest? Didn’t know that, Thanks! But the F#1 was chest-fry right?

    • @johndeeregreen4592
      @johndeeregreen4592 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have a similar vocal structure to Tim and get that buzz that makes it sound like chest-fry, when it's not. In reality, it tends to be glottal compression done without even thinking about it - an unconscious effort to keep the levels between notes even. It restricts air and pushes the sound forward, which gives it that buzz quality.

      When Adam sings, it's generally in a harmony role that is hard to pick out, like Auld Lang Syne or What We Ain't Got. That said, there's a few songs where his part sticks out a little more:
      - Moving On ft. Chris Rupp (harmony in the chorus, "being called home to a place I know")
      - How Great Thou Art (leads "It Is Well With My Soul" at 2:33)
      - Angels We Have Heard On High (at 1:41 he is the low voice on the trio)
      - Never Gonna Give You Up (at 2:40 he does a run in the background)

    Man, I'm really screwed up with pitch tones. I found a TH-cam channel that has classic piano notes, and I have been trying to match Tim's notes to the piano notes and I must be way off in my hearing. For instance the first tone "Everybody walking this land." To my ears it sounds like a D1.

    There's very little musical tonality to his low notes. It just sounds like an airy belch with the mic half way in his mouth. He has great control over it, but it's basically just low noises not singing.
