    Very nice cabinet but is the screen acoustic transparent so a center channel can be placed behind it? I really like the ultra short throw projectors but it makes it a little difficult for center channel placement.

    This thing is gorgeous! No subs built into the cabinet, though?

      These are customizable. You can choose an option with a sub cutout. Pretty slick ey?

      We worked with Next Level Acoustics and created a High Velocity Sub with 700 Watt amp that sits on the floor inside the cabinet and instead of having one big port, there are 4 smaller ones that fire out towards the wall under the cabinet. Here is a video of it, wear some good bass producing headphones. Is a fully concealed 3.1 channel solution. th-cam.com/video/M8rshTEn-aU/w-d-xo.html

      That was my first thought also. With the fancy slide out projector and nice Pop up screen I am surprised that both cabinets on the sides didn't have speakers/subwoofers. That would be an awesome idea and id be interested in this product for sure. 😁

    It's a beautiful piece. I want it for my Vivid. Still, I thought you'd show how the projector came out and everything. How much does the cabinet weigh??

  • @Familyman708

    That thing is going to be Expensive!!!!!

    • @aegisavcabinets6335
      @aegisavcabinets6335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A good deal is in the eye of the beholder, so expensive is a perspective based on what you are willing to spend for what you want. We have a less expensive line coming out next month that should bring the price down to work with a tighter budget.

    I don't know if anyone noticed but the lower left part of the image is cutoff on an angle. I wonder if these things have a hard time aligning past the furniture angles.

    It looks nice and I like the idea of the screen is not to high, every time a see US the screen are to high what about the center channel.

      You can option it with center channel too.

      You can go with an acoustically transparent speaker door with a built-in speaker from Next Level Acoustics or put in your own, just as long as it fits in there with the projector. We also have a Sonos Arc and Bose 900 integration where the amphitheater pieces are wrapped in speaker cloth, and the speaker is concealed behind it with deflectors for the side sound to travel over the left and right AV compartments. Andromeda is less than 2' tall, and we have the Ares collection coming out in September that is 17.25" tall and uses the same 120" screen .

    Great design! QQ. Where would the center channel go (in walls are not an option)? That’s the only problem I have with a STP

      All of that can be found in the Aegis Design Studio where you can build your cabinet the way you want, see it in real time, get itemized cost for the base cabinet and selected features, calculate freight costs, add to the cart, and checkout. The idea is to educate the customer about the features and benefits of the cabinet before going into price.

      25" deep and 23" tall. Is 116" wide because of the size of the screen cassette housing.

    You should not put glass over the top of a UST lens. It isn’t index-matched and doesn’t have the transmissive or reflective properties that the UST was designed for.

    • @aegisavcabinets6335
      @aegisavcabinets6335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Chris, the glass is low iron and does not affect the image or color. This was something that we tested a long time ago and you cannot tell the difference between open air or glass over it. Also, there is a filtered cooling system that bottle feeds the intake of the projector, and has adjacent fans that sucks out the exhaust... So the compartment needs to stay enclosed, so dust is not sucked in from other areas into the components to ensure their longevity.

    Love Next Level Acoustics out of Boston. This cabinet is also for 1%ers😅😭 due to price. It is the most beautiful and innovative cabinet for a UST that i have seen but it does come with the elite price as this is an elite product.

    Wayyyyyy toooooo big. I don’t mean to crap on this cabinet, but it I bet it is made out of MDF or particle board. No mention of price, but similar cabinets have been wayyy tooo expensive. May as well build a dedicated theatre as buy this thing. Not too mention I have seen too many reviews about the Vividstorm retractable ALR screen being a floppy mess that comes off of the track.

  • @victorpulos823

    • @aegisavcabinets6335

      Some projectors fire up a little before the screen and UST compartment are done motorizing out, but most of the time the boot up process for the projector is pretty close to when everything stops moving.

  • @SuperRiccoSuave

    Best ultra short throw projector solution is to just buy a 98” TV.

    • @aegisavcabinets6335
      @aegisavcabinets6335 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those start at $8k and go up past $20k depending on model you choose. It should probably come with a wedding ring because when you decide to upgrade to 8k later you are stuck with it while everyone else is just swapping out their projector. Also, the TV is only 98" vs. a 120" screen, so is an apples and oranges comparison.

    • @SuperRiccoSuave
      @SuperRiccoSuave 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aegisavcabinets6335 Your name implies bias but ok, stuck with it while everyone else just swaps out their projector?, lol you still have to pay for a new projector so surely you could just pay for a new tv to swap out so I don’t get that flawed upgrade logic, also TV’s absolutely decimate projectors in every metric except size, contrast ratio and brightness on even the most expensive projectors is embarrassingly poor compared to TV’s, and in a living room a TV looks good 100% of day not just in the pitch black dark, look you wanna say projectors can be huge sizes that tv’s don’t then I can’t argue that but compared to a tv of the same size apples to apples the projector is inferior technology.
