Man those are all beauties. I’ll stick to my nice LP standards. Unless you’re just really wealthy these guitars are a bit excessive. I do love LPs, I have 4 in total.
It’s no better than a standard Murphy lab R9 you can get used for 1/4 the price.

I like Custombuckers but to say they are the only pickups since the original PAfs to have the PAF quack is utterly ridiculous . Whats more Quacky than 70s era Gibson T Top ?.
There are many PAF clones that have the Quacky quality .
Also the A5 custombuckers have far more low End than a real PAF does . They sound quite modern to my ears The standard A3 custombuckers in the regular VOS LP reossues sound more vintage than these new A5 CBs.
🎯 CBs have too much low end compared to anything resembling a real PAF lol. I’m still contemplating replacing mine in the r9, but that’s a rabbit hole of research I’m not prepared to jump in yet lol.

Honestly other than those things what makes this one so different from a regular Murphy lab R9? It certainly is not the tops because i have seen top's on M2M's just as amazing. I am very satisfied with my M2M R9 that cost me a lot less!

Meh . Its just an R9 with the Tom Murphy lip stick makeup and cosmetic surgery Gimmick . Its mot going to play or sound any better than the average R8s and R9s.
I will stick with the Stanrdard VOS versions.
The Murphy lab 59s dont sound like Real 59s anymore than a Regular R9 and perhaps even less so. The Special Alnico 5 custombuckers used in these limited run MLs sound much more modern to my Ears than the Regular A3 versions .
When is Gibson and Fender going to stop making the same f****** guitar over and over again.

I would not spend any money on anything from Murphy Lab. Too busy ageing my own guitars in real time.
