People don't mention this enough but the recording engineers of Drumeo do such a great job capturing all the different drum kits that come they way.
Their engineering and mixing skills are up there with Modern Drummer Festival quality.

Stanley is one of the most musical drummers I've ever heard and that's got to be why he grooves so perfect with Stevie. His skill and precision are blatantly obvious and his years of dedication come through but he retains this musicality in his drumming. It's organic. His ability to stack notes into his grooves and beats without them feeling too busy or cluttered is singular. So musical! Plays the kit like it's an instrument....like a horn or piano,ya know? Tasty!!!!

  • @seanarmour5116

What I like about his style of play is that he has chops, but he doesn't display them too much, he flashes them, and make you want them more...

I´ve learned so much with this video:
    - Pocket doesn't have to be boring
    - Playing inversed kit (open doors for your playing, new level) and helps to acquire autocontrol and discipline
    - If you make a mistake play it loud, make it like its ment to be there
    - Be confort playing
    - Alternative ways for grabbing the sticks, playing the hi hat and playing the ride
    - Dinamics, dinamics and dinamics (like dinamics are the expression of feeling)
    GREAT VIDEO!!!

Proving a point. We learn everyday. I'm 50, drummer since 13. With this talent I've never heard of him. I'm old school too. Yes I've heard without knowing it. I was a Bernard Purdy guy. This cats feet are on spot, and powerful as dynamite. This cats a combo of Cobham, Purdy, few others. But his own monster, thanks for the treat.

I only started recently watching Drumeo videos. I keep running into this preconception that i think i finally am done with. First Drumeo video i watched and i thought, wow, this guy is as good as it gets, if only i can hear another drummer this good. Then i see another Drumeo video suggested and I don't click on it for a while because i'm thinking to myself, 'what's the point, it would be near impossible for him to be as good as the other guy'. then i click on it. and mind blown, the guy is. this has happened for a handful of drummers and each time i'm blown away at how much talent they have and how each is an absolute master at their own thing. and then i realize, i made the right decision not trying to be a musician any longer than i did. i'll leave it up to these guys. i'll just sit here and appreciate them.
