The refrigerator might leak water. Look into making a small stand to Lyft the refrigerator and a plastic floor plate to catch the dripping water from the refrigerator. You might be able to drill a hole thru the cab floor to drain the water out from the plastic floor plate for water catcher dripping from the refrigerator. Look into to it because the carpet shouldn’t get wet.
Bro you need a t fuse between the inverter and the batteries. This will prevent it from frying the batteries and setting them on fire.

The two wires coming from inside to the battery just above the flex pipe, need to be secured from getting the isolation rubbed thru from the vibrations and such, especially the + wire, or you will get a short and trouble that comes with it.

I had to put a latch on the fridge. Because it will open and sling all your food over the truck. You have to call and nag trailer utilization. I think your trailer guy is Glen

@@TruckerAK Industrial velcro works great for a fridge door closure securement. That's what I'm using. You can get it at Lowe's
I did the same, you get tired of loading the fridge 2-3 times a day. I upgraded to the 4.5 with freezer 🤙

I've been pulling "power only" for Landstar since 1999, pays really good and I also have my own trailer. Be patient AK Landstar is working hard to get your trailer to you. Besides you have time now to fix truck exhaust leak.

Set a load alert for a SOS load with a 400 mile radius I got a trailer in 2 days. So if another BCO breaks down and needs someone to complete his load, you can go get the trailer complete the delivery and you get to keep the trailer. It worked for me. It's been a couple of years since i worked at landstar not sure if it still works the same way GOOD LUCK

If the classic was actually mine I’d do the mini split bro. You should do it for sure especially due to where you live. Mini split ac on cat and a generator on box with extended run tank
What I did for my fridge is built like a frame from 2x4s and plywood on top and bottom, painted it so fridge sitting like a 14 inches higher plus you got a room underneath it for you shower bad or case of water :)
No vent for the fridge? Have you noticed hot air? Water dropping off the back?
Did you add a fuze or resetable curuit breaker on the positive cable for protection that if it shorts out that it won't catch your truck on fire
I hope you installed a circuit breaker on the positive cable at the battery ! No fuse or circuit breaker is how trucks burn down!
Why cant Landstar just buy new trailers for the older guys then the new guys could use old trailers to get rolling?
It took them 3 months to get me a trailer you will be luck to get one some time this month

Also you should do more plastic sheething on it near wear the cables go through the hole of the floor of the truck. All the shaking will wear this cables and cause a short.

When did you finish orientation
I put a mini fridge in the 99 classic I’m driving behind the drivers seat but mine has 2 doors with a freezer on top and the inverter is under the bunk and I can turn it on and off through the hand hole. Love your lighting nice job. I still need to fix an air leak on the passenger side before winter it is very cold up here in Montana lol

Eric Wilson most Carrier's won't lease on owner ops with tractors older than 2010 model year. They're Insurance provider will be sky high. Stay on with Landstar Ranger for at least 2 years to learn how to use agents and BCO services. $5.00 bucks a mile.

Some blue watermelon lights under the dash would set off that interior. That cluster has to look good while cruising at night.
Once you get the landstar ropes figured out its nothing but up from there. My sister has worked in the Rockford office for 20 years.

Keep up with your truck ,its cheaper than a payment book! I would put header wrap on the exhaust flex pipe so it don't melt the insulation on the battery wires ! Had it happen to me and they shorted with a oil cooler line and burned my truck to the dirt! Happy trails!

Hey man, so you said it was 5 something a mile on that load to Palm Beach... as a new operator for a company I see a lot of .35 cents online starting pay. Why is it so much for owner operator? I understand that 5 something is in the high range of the o/o but still... why are owner operators paid more (I see a lot of 1-3 something a mile)? Thanks!
Because owner operators own their own truck and they have to pay for insurance and fuel. Mega carriers have their own trucks and they pay for fuel and anything maintenance related so you don’t deal with anything you just drive for them that’s why the pay is so low. Owner ops have a lot that they have come out of pocket for

I go to orientation on the 24th in ga. Hopefully it goes smoothly. I feel like a signed my life away with all the forms they sent me and when I tried getting ahold of someone to tell if I was doin the paperwork right nobody would answer. Hopefully it goes more smoothly once I get there

Look for SOS loads. You score a trailer from someone who’s broke down. Search the agency code SOS on the load board. If you’re still looking for a trailer that is.

Getting close to roll! :) Installed fuse for the inverter? Trucks have burned from an improper install. Just a heads up to be safe! Would a hot plate (no fire burner) work for cooking in the truck with inverter? Farberware has single or double hot plates. Throwing you ideas... btw, you need a cb handle! velcrow at walmart $3 for fridge door staying shut; rubber feet bottom of fridge might unscrew for leveling, heard can take 2 weeks to get a trailer when just starting at LS. hang in there

we mounted are inverter which honestly was like twice that size under the bunk and installed the fridge were it was the first time but yeah someone said add a latch yeah you will probably need at one point driving lol
Took me 10 days to find a em issue atm is all customers are holding loaded as storage if u take power only it does not loose ur spot on the list js also if u search in the agency code SOS u can find loads that drivers broke down and take there trailer deliver there load and then that trailer is urs ur free to do what u like with it then

I would put a lock on the fridge door or it will swing open and all your stuff will roll around through out the cab. Had it happen a couple of times and its not fun.

You might want to add a strip Velcro on the side of your refrigerator and the door so your refrigerator doesn't come open on you when you're driving down the road
