That fridge is pretty big actually and clean job btw you legend! 👊
T Bone good 👍🏾 video just did same with my cascadia installed dorm fridge with freezer was fun. Take care safe travels GOD BLESS 🙏🏾💯
Thanks man appreciate it. Makes a world of difference having a decent fridge on the truck.
I removed the driver's side cabinet on my Peterbilt 387 and installed a dorm sized fridge I bought from one of my subs for $50. Built a frame around it and I have a butcher block table 38" x 20" that I use for office work, meal prep and eating. I sit on the bed and the table is over my knees. With the fridge on the driver's side, I can get a midnight snack or drink while laying in bed due to the door hinges being towards the front of the truck.
Sounds awesome. I can switch the hinges on it if need be, but this has always worked and I'm home about every weekend so no need to go too crazy...well, yet..lol
@@TruckinwithTBone I also use a soft bungee to hold the door closed when I'm driving - just in case. These fridges are much cheaper than the 12V RV or truck ones too.
@@2020HotShotTruckingLLC I outfitted it with baby safety latches for that 😂
Excellent video and great work
Thank you
I put a 4.4 cubic foot fridge in mine with the freezer cause I had it from high school. It hits the microwave mount but it’s snug. I had to figure out my own strap mounts because my company had the plate reinstalled without any straps. I’m glad I could make it work
A friend of mine did that. Thing looks huge in there. 😂
@@TruckinwithTBone for sure, I wasn’t gonna buy another fridge so I made it work. Definitely worth it. I bought one of those latches to help the door stay closed because a right turn while full of food would fly the door open
Where can I buy the whole setup for the fridge
Hey bro can you please put a link to where you got this kit from. also give us an update on how much power that fridge draws on the batteries. I'm a little concerned that the fridge will kill my batteries while I'm parked overnight
Will Do
Very clean job done👍 can you tell me where did you get the mounting kit from? I had been looking for it all over but couldn’t find. Thank you!
Sweet job brother 🎉
Thank you
Hi sir, what is the mounting kit at the bottom? Can you put the link for it? Thanks
I’ve had that question a lot. I plan on making a video with all the part numbers for it.
I'm trying to figure out how big does my inverter need to be to run that refrigerator
I have a factory 1800 watt inverter that connects to the batteries similar to what you see in the truck stops.
Good job sir
Thank ya sir. How ya been?
@@TruckinwithTBone hanging in there
Where did you get the mounting plate kit
It’s never a true project until you have to make one or two unscheduled trips to the hardware store
That’s no lie. Then had to make another trip for the baby latches to keep it from flying open. 😂
@@TruckinwithTBone baby latches are required equipment for any freightliner!!
I been lookin for something like this i changed my fridge out for a 3.5 cubic feet fridge and it make a lot of noise moving around
How does it do when the ambient air is 90 plus degrees?
Well, I don’t usually let it get that warm in the truck. 😂 I haven’t had any issues but generally (not always) empty it out and shut it off on home time.
My current fridge is the same as the one you took out. I also need to mounting kit. Did you get that kit from freightliner?
Yes. I got it from the dealer. The fridge came from Lowe’s.
@wheelburner you need to watch this
I just did. I need that desperately
That looks identical to the factory cabinet that’s been in every freightliner I’ve ever had
Yes, it’s a factory cabinet, just depends on how the truck is spec’d. this one originally had the base for a bring your own fridge.
That's nice man. What size t v you got there next to the microwave? Also what size inverter do you have to power that Refrigerator? When I go to bed at night, And turn the truck offwill the inverter drain my truck battery?
It’s the factory inverter but I can’t remember if it’s a 1500w or 1800 off the top of my head. If the batteries are good, it shouldn’t drain just while sleeping on your break.
I have the same cabinet in my 2019 Cascadia wondering if I could do the same thing don’t know where I’d get that floor plate and things though ?
I’m sure you could. I got the panel and straps etc. from the dealership. I think you can get them at raneys as well.
Is there a desk to do paperwork or to eat in that truck once you took out the original wit the big fridge ?
The original only had a drawer and an opening for a fridge. The top had edges that would have made it difficult to use as a table or desk. To answer your question, there is a pull out table/desk on the opposite side.
Hey great work you did that can you please tell me where you got the base from? Great work
It was all factory parts. I got them from the freightliner dealership.
@@TruckinwithTBone thank you so much I have one more question how did you plug in the fridge because the fridge uses electricity plug and the car is battery
@@Yousif_ayna. I have an inverter in my truck so I used one of the outlets from it.
Great Video sir Thank you,
I wanna do the same on my freightliner cascadia 2020. Where do I order all these things from ? The base plates, bolts and a hisense fridge ?
Most of it I got from the freightliner dealership. Some (bolts) were already there for the cabinet. I’ve had a lot of questions so I will be doing a follow up video with parts list etc. thanks for watching.
Did you do the follow up video
@@country706boy90 not as of yet. Things have been pretty hectic lately. I will try to do it soon.
@@TruckinwithTBone ok
I got one from Walmart it's about the same 3.1 cubic feet but the brand is g a l a n z
Good morning sir, where I can get this refrigerator, and is this 12 volt ? Thanks
You can get it at Lowe’s. It’s a standard plug that plugs into an inverter.
Thanks
Hey.good job.where do i order this kit?can you share a link ?thanks in advance!
I ordered it from the dealership.
Do u have a part number by any chance?i called my local dealer and said have no idea what im talking about
@@veselinpetkov3068 I do. I’ve had a few people ask about it so I’m going to do a short video for that to make it easier.
Thanks
Cant you just post the parts numbers?
Link for the mounting kit ?
There is no link. I got the parts from the dealer and will be doing a video with the part numbers as soon as I have a moment.
@@TruckinwithTBone thank you and yes please . Really want to get the same kit
What size is that tv sir
32”
What is the freightliner part number for the bracket?
I’ll have to get it for you at a later date. I have the paperwork at home. Been meaning to do a video about the parts list.
I called Nashville and they had no idea. I assumed it was a fridge mount and so did they but we couldn’t figure nothing out
Yea I called them also no clue
@@country706boy90 yea I’ve decided I will probably just build something decent use the same bolt holes then put something to hook it too. From everything I’ve seen I imagine it’s higher than a cats back
So i found all the part numbers if its ok with you i can post them
What are the part numbers?
I’ll like to do the same on my truck. Can you get me the parts numbers you used for the panels and the bracket, Or the VIN NUMBER so I can call the dealer and find out.
