Seems the new batch has that sticker now. Older ones had it printed on the tube. I used a 26x2.1 bicycle tube to slip over the whole thing anyway. It’s well protected front scratching now.
Hi, yes that's a good idea for protection. I'd prefer the printed version, but end of the day it's an antenna mast so doesn't really matter. It's a great antenna mast by the way. Tricky to put up if you don't buy the extra guying kit. 73 M7LLA
Bear Chills M7LLA yeah still not cool when it’s doesn’t match the picture on the website. I see they haven’t changed it. I bought the mini tac as well and instead of having nice rubbery end caps like the 7000 has, its sent out with hard plastic ones. 1 of them cracked and i wasnt offered any replacement. I’m using tape now. Kinda not happy there. I hope the newer runs of the mini have better end caps.
Bear Chills M7LLA i’ve heard that too but never tried them. I use my Spiderbeam most of the time at home or on car trips cause it’s heavy but it’s really nice and strong.
@@forgetyourlife I'm on to another challenge now. I've just bought a Yaesu ft3de and I'm going to use my homebrew 2m dipole for sota. See how the handheld holds up with battery and the dipole and hope I can get a activation...So look out for that video in the not too near future 73

Hi just see this one i have one of these use it in the caravan i managed to break the pole but substituted a fishing pole of e bay. i found the wires were too long seem to be tuned fot the lower half of the band cw? So o cut 1/2 off it worked better .by the way the crocodile clips rust give them some wd40 after use

It is a good antenna all round unit and is resonant. The pole is difficult to put up I thought....73
