Osamu is the king in chess.weak, but might be able to direct the soldiers to victory? XD Chika is the Queen, Yuma is the Knight, and Hyuse is the Bishop.
Another thing about Hound is that it consumes more Trion than Asteroid, thus it isn't a very good choice for Osamu. However, in the match, there are only 3 times that Osamu used it. The 1st is when Inukai (Ninomiya Squad Gunner with an Assault Rifle) was shooting at Chika's Meteor. It was blocked by Tsuji (Ninomiya Squad Attacker with the Kogetsu) using Shield for him. The 2nd is when Tamakoma-2 went for a series of attacks. The 3rd is when Ninomiya (No.1 Shooter and No.2 Overall Agent) went Full Attack, but was more focused on shooting at Yuma than to shoot at Osamu.
Also a good form of both, camouflage and energy save is that Osamu used his bullets at the minimal on the waste of the hound effect, we were explained of how the bullets are made and how characters altered it, consuming more trion to get extra capabilities but Osamu used the contrary option, Even other characters that use the same skillset as Osamu we're like:"WTF, we could use it that way?"
@@chrisanthem9956 The other Agents know that they could fake Hound (I mean Hyuse faked Viper, even though he doesn't count). Its just that the other Agents didn't expect Osamu to actually have Hound in his loadout because of his very low Trion amount, and it is emphasised by Ninomiya's flashback. As said as well in the video, there is a noticeable size difference between Asteroid and Hound, and the agents can probably notice the difference. Since Osamu has a very low Trion amount, no one saw any difference.
I think it's not that Hound is necessarily more trion, but since it constructs the homing system whether or not you're using it, using with the same power gives you weaker bullets. Everyone assumed Osamu has to use Asteroid because he'll otherwise never have a chance at cracking shields.
it's not "consumes more," it's "it allocates trion away from power/range/speed" which is similar but slightly changes the reasoning behind why nobody expected osamu to use hound. Basically, osamu's hound can get literally perfect hits and still fail or heavily struggle to make an opp bail out. It's not that osamu can't shoot many hound, he can shoot the same number, but his hound literally cannot take out an opp by himself in one hit, whereas his asteroid can. He can't crack shields anyways, and this is why him disguising hound as asteroid works; with hyuse, you expect bullets that big to crack or even break thinner shields in a single barrage; that's what nino's bullets regularly do, after all. But osamu's asteroid is *never* breaking any one-direction shield, it might break a spherical shield (that only uses one trigger) but it's never breaking a one-direction shield, so while osamu's hound is pitifully weak, there's no visual difference in a tracking-off hound and his asteroid, especially when it hits a shield, so nobody suspects it.
@@pallingtontheshrike6374 I love how Mikumo used his own weakness as a strength, his trion amount is way below average, so his bullets look the same no matter what. Then he used that as a great disguise. I love how he doesn't power-up like typical shonen, he just gets smarter with the cards he is given, thus beating those stronger than him because of it.
In terms of Trion to direct damage, Asteroid "is the most powerful Gunner Trigger". Meteor "is used to cause widespread damage", meaning that Meteor is less efficient/effective at doing damage to a single target than Asteroid. Think of it as 'Single Target damage' vs 'Area Of Effect damage'
Meteor gets used for demolitions and for forcing out shields (thus limiting an opponent's options). The bullets are slower and therefore harder to land directly. There's a reason it rarely gets used as a direct attack.
For the book I am writing my MC is a half human half elf. But due to the amount of mana elves have compared to humans, the human body cannot withstand said mana. Causing a condition called Mana Overdose. Which is lethal. The MC suffers from this condition and had to learn a technique at an extremely young age that prevents their mana from growing and recovering. Mana is life force and is highly important in the story. If you run out you die. Because of this the MC cannot use magic without dire consequences on their health. Despite having a large amount of mana for a human, that mana will eventually kill him if it got out of control. But due to the technique he learned, he can no longer recover his mana so he has to be extremely careful with his mana and body or else he risks dying an early death. Mana is also linked to the bodies natural healing process. You can spend a little mana to increase your physical abilities depending on how much you consume. The technique used by the MC allows them to control their mana more freely which enables them to increase their bodies capabilities without spending mana. Later on in the story he will find a way to circumvent the downsides of his technique while curing his condition. Not saying how or when.
to be honest world trigger as a whole was pretty good but i was feeling bored asf around the end of s1 or start of s2 and tbh i would like to read the manga but i would prefer to wait until the next season if it ever comes out
To be fair, the end of season one is an anime only arc. I think it's decent as anime only arcs go, but it's still an interruption. I highly recommend the manga, and you can read every chapter on the publishers official app for free one time. The current arc is really interesting, doing a great job of putting the characters in situations outside their norms, while still pushing them along and analyzing their strengths.
I don't like this anime because the MC is so damn weak and pathetic while other characters so strong compare to him for no reason 😂😂😂. I mean come on even Sakura also weak at first but then She became strong and can stand with Naruto and Sasuke equally 😅. But this MC character development is very slow and its hard for me to keep watch this anime 😢. It's frustrating you know 🙄. I try to like this anime but it's so hard because of the MC 🤦♂️. I don't understand why people like this anime so much 🤷♂️. I guess different people have different taste 🤔
Osamu is weak because he is just an average person. He actually has average trion levels for a normal human. But normal people do not become combat agents; they either become operators or engineers or just don't join border. But this doesn't mean Osamu isn't capable. Currently in the Manga another B-rank agent is comparing themselves to Osamu and they are asking what does Osamu have that they don't; as Osamu is still a better team member despite having less trion and being a worse combatant. World trigger is not an anime for everyone as it isn't the standard anime. It relies on building up a large cast, being grounded, and not being a power fantasy. Osamu is a good catalyst for this type of story; as for him to win any fight he must work around each member of the cast's strengths and weaknesses. Growth is slow; because realistic growth is in fact slow; if it was easy and quick to go from average c-rank to upper b-rank, everyone would do that. Different people will have different taste for how grounded a story should be.
I love that he's weak. It makes the struggle much more interesting. He has to get every creative and strategic to win. I understand that now everyone likes that, but I love high IQ battles, and world trigger is top on that front.
becuase this is abit more realistic. in other animes the Mc just gets buffs out of the blue or was reincarnated ,naturally talented ad mostly they get strong just because they work hard, they believe it and want to become strong, the Osamu its the opposite, it shows that you cant simply become strong or overpowered and suddenly overcome everyone else just because you want too or feel like it as everyone is also working hard and has been doing so for a while
He is weak and useless tbh. He is there cause of Yuma, if he wasn’t a Black Trigger user this series would be 10 eps lol. It is not realistic in fantasy or anywhere else that a weak person tries to really save people. It gets more people killed than saved.
it is kind realistic, it shows that you cant simply become strong and overcome everyone simply cause you want tl get strong and are working hard etc, thats not enough as everyone is also working hard and some are just as talented or even more
Osamu is the perfect mc for exploring world trigger world building
Osamu is weak but not powerless, that's why I love him

Man doesn't the clutch factor of other shonen Mc but he certainly knows how to move pieces around
Great video, love seeing people talk about world trigger!
asteroid is the standard shooting trigger with meteor being the one that packs the most punch
Asteroid is more like piercing damage, while Meteor is a blunt damage because it explodes on contact.
Meteor gets used for demolitions and for forcing out shields (thus limiting an opponent's options). The bullets are slower and therefore harder to land directly. There's a reason it rarely gets used as a direct attack.

Watching world trigger now
World trigger mention ⁉️
Love your videos
+ awesome music taste (good kid underrated asf)
Great video, super well written and presented! Also is that good kid i hear? If so mad respect!
GOOD KID RAHHHHHHHHHH
This is a summery video not a "how to write"
I think the summary and details of how it affects Osamu help to understand how he's written.
to be honest world trigger as a whole was pretty good but i was feeling bored asf around the end of s1 or start of s2 and tbh i would like to read the manga but i would prefer to wait until the next season if it ever comes out
