I was never drawn to Nishane because of their sharpness. But I am very looking forward to getting my nose on the X collection, since they sound like more rounded and refined versions. 🤗
thanks for the impressions! not a fan of this house but this new line seems like an upgrade over the originals. Ani X & Hacivat X have me most interested to sample.

Great review! I pretty much agree with you on everything you said, except Fan Your Flames X. In my opinion what they wanted to do was to make it a little bit fresher and softer because the original was too dry and the tobacco note dominated the composition a lot. To achieve that, they added the note of Lentisque and I think it works amazingly by providing a fresh balsamic feeling, specially in the opening!!
Overall this to me is a more wearable and unisex version of the original, and I love it. But anyway, that is the beauty of the perfumery world, all the different interpretations and opinions there can be!!

I love Hundred Silent Ways. The X version seems excellent as you have described it. I think I will get a sample first before making a purchase. The Ani X seems much improved but I won't buy it straight away because then I will stop wearing my Ani.

It sounds like they made Ani fruity and fresh. The patchouli sounds toned down in favour of the cashmeren. I enjoy Ani and am currious about the new formula. Hopefully I will get to sample it.
I think it would be interesting to try the X versions.

I have ani, hacivat, and their x counterparts. I love all 4, but much prefer the og ani over the x and the hacivat x over the og.
I also have hundred silent ways x in sample form, and that smells really nice too.
I have the original Hacivat and don’t wear it, this X may definitely be for me! Excited for Hacivat X 🙌🙌🥰

Hi Hayley. I have been interested in picking up Wulong Cha for a while but haven't yet. Now with the launch of X, I might go straight to that one. Would you say that X is more feminine? Also I really dislike magnolia fragrances. Can you detect the magnolia note in the X or is it more that you can detect a floral note that is not clearly magnolia?

What I want to know is if they dialed down the bergamot with the AniX because the bergamot is whats comtributing to that sharpness with the original.
With Fan your Flames, they totally ruined the picture perfect cuban cigar tobacco note with the annoying lactonic notes. Did they fix that issue with fan your flames x?

Definitely first to review this, have not seen anybody else cover these. BUT I'm starting to feel like they've butchered the scents to appease everybody (looking to split it down the middle with a target demo of 50-50 aka perfect unisex). And adding "Hacivat Oud" to Prestige was one of the most underwhelming announcements I saw all Esxence. I'm still getting the box - I basically rushed to get Time Capsule when those came out, and quickly got a bottle of Tero too (still open to adding Papilefiko eventually).
Ahhh I am glad I am first but also I can’t wait to see some more reviews! Ani X is pretty special, although the original Ani is incredible. I think you will really like Hacivat Oud, as this one has the most noticeable change and I feel it’s going to be a hit.
@@hayley.clough For some reason, I don't think it (Hacivat Oud) will be a hit because Nefs was like lightning in a bottle and they have not had that type of success with Shem or Mana which suggests that the price point is excessive. I don't see a way to take an existing IP and upgrade it to the point where it would be worth €525 for a 50ml (because that's probably what it's going to retail for).
Hell, if you think about flankers within niche, the amount of success flankers have had is soooooo minimal. GC Extrait was a hit, Reflection 45 was a hit, Accento Overdose, and I think it was Alexandria Orientale. I struggle to think of others in the last 5 years. Disclaimer is that niche doesn't really do a lot of flankers anyway, but even brands that do offer a lot of concentration flankers (e.g. Ex Nihilo) don't see high demand due to the price increase not justifying mild performance/profile improvements (I say that, but Atelier des Ors did their concentration flankers very well which is why I own LF Extrait).
Niche hype for flankers is largely not there, and it feels like the followers of brands aren't jumping out of their proverbial graves to buy the next Hacivat flanker vs. that being the thing in designer.
I tried to like Ani, I went back to it so many times and just don’t see myself wearing it. Ani X sounds like my type of fragrance.
Yessss! I am the same, I bought it blindly as I heard so much hype but it’s not wearable for me. I do love the original and will always recommend but I know Ani X is more wearable for me. 😍

The discovery kit is 2ml sizes, the full sizes come in 50ml and 100ml

Exactly my thought, it’s still fresh and aromatic but a little more unisex now.
