@@snakebebop No they haven't lol, the in-game cutscenes have never had fluid animations and lipsyncing, they have always used random "talk" animations that the races have combined with random in game animations, go compare this to for example the "Sylvanas Arrests Baine" cutscene from Bfa, their lips are literally warping around randomly with terrible animations.
I actually like this cinematic. They shared many moments together in this expansion but now they both have changed but still found a way to discuss things.
This was really satisfying to watch. It's been confusing to see how or why Anduin would feel so guilty over something he clearly had no control over. To learn that he *enjoyed* what he was doing is a huge revelation and really puts it all into context. Well done.

Like I'd believe he would be angry with the afterlife forever thing that happened to him. So he would want to take his anger out on it.
I'm starting to wonder if the need for DK to cause pain is more due to the domination magic that brought them back than to their status as "dark undeads"
The saddest thing about this is that Anduin's father would have been the perfect person to advise him on this. I imagine there is a bit of "like father, like son" involved and Varian knew well the thrill of bloodlust and what it meant to feel it and to conquer it.
Anduin's feelings sort of contextualize the experience of every Forsaken who was controlled by the Scourge/Arthas. The same thing Sylvanas went through and it just feel ironic.
The saddest thing about this is that Anduin's father would have been the perfect person to guide him through this. He knew well the thrill of bloodlust and what it took to conquer it and keep himself in check.
This was actually one of the best cutscenes/writing I have seen in WoW for ages. No cheesy catch phrases and some really solid character portrayal and development. Massive improvement in that sense than many of their usual ones. It is great to see they are realising they don't need to ham up the drama of a scene to make it impactful and the new cutscene tech makes a huge difference.
That's exactly why the only thing I liked in BFA was the Jaina storyline and cinematics, as it was smaller scale and character centric without any needless exposition
Interesting, because it was revealed in the Sylvanas novel that she was actually aware of everything Arthas was doing to her. She was powerless to do so and every time she tried to fight in defiance it was used against her and others. It's possible that it was the same for Anduin. Probably even more so since he is still living and was able to break control at certain brief moments. We are definitely going to see a different Anduin moving forward.
This was a beautiful moment. I'm glad that sylvanas will return eventually and that anduin is left with some emotional baggage. So much room for potential here. Indeed this was a satisfying cut scene. Finally.
Actually the best cutscene they have made in a long time. All in game and very well done. Cut out all the dramatic crazy CGI and bombastic moments and just let 2 characters.. talk. I hope they can make more of these and faster. I really like this and hope its not 3, 2 min cutscenes a patch
As a lore guy, married to the story even through the lows of late BfA, the big picture plot of Shadowlands let me down in a way I could no longer justify continuing to follow, but these smaller character moments have never failed and why I still love this universe even if I'm no longer playing.

I feel so weird about this duo. Undoubtedly their dialogue was the highlight for Shadowlands's story, but the way they got there and what was sacrificed to get there still causes a foul stench to linger.
Say what you want about the direction the story went, but the way Anduin reacts to all these events doesn't feel forced at all or "Oh it's over and can just fade". His story's not getting rushed along and we get to see a young king face the weight of his actions in detail and time instead of just glossing over it like nothing really happened
I very much agree, its nice to see Blizz pausing and treating all of these characters as....characters, not as pieces of elaborate cinematics or half-baked cosmic plots. It's nice to see these people acting like people.
Blizzard never fails to make Dori'thur look imposing when she needs to be. It's incredible how they made Tyrande's owl look huge as she looks over Sylvanas and Anduin who look small.
Anduin should be speaking to others who have more experience with accepting the damage they did to themselves and others. Like Thrall. He killed Garrosh, a brother in arms, in an honorable duel to the death, cheating using the elements which cost him his shamanistic powers, and the doomhammer. He has lost his honor, but he accepts what he did, and moves on.
I'm sorry, but Thrall hasn't accepted nothing. He was in Draenor hiding from his past until Saurfang came to ask him to fight for the Horde again. I think it was not until he met Draka that he began actually face what he'd done and what there might be in store for him moving forward.
Thrall didn’t cheat and it’s not why he lost his connection to the elements. Also, Garrosh betrayed the Horde and was attempting to invade Azeroth, so yeah, he kinda needed to die.
I like Anduin finally accepting, he´s not as pure as he thinks. Like it is incredibly proud of him to think he was so pure the Light always answered him. He aůways saw himself as good peaceful leader, but we all have our dark sides. Perhaps it´s time for him to accept his. Also i like that in this cinematic Sylvanas is now basicly his therapist. XD
why is it so hard to accept that some people are pure? is it that necessary for a character to be flawed in order to be relatable? I still believe in anduin's purity. Whatever happens now is obviously the influence of the jailer, therefore originally Anduin was pure.
@@VeGohan well, i think not. in a world full of flawed characters, where even godly entities like the titans are flawed, we need some perfect charcters so that everyone can relate to them. even people who aspire to be perfect and to break the paradigm of flawed characters. Besides, it s a ridiculous reason that anduin is not sure that light will answer to his call after he was dominated by the jailer, i mean, even despicable beings like Benedictus could use the light but anduin cant?
Anduin is mirroring Arthas’ journey, from the naïveté of youth to adulthood, but with the self-reflection Arthas never realised. He’s learning to accept his humanity, flaws and all, and that’ll give him greater compassion and understanding for the others and their various poor decisions.
Reminder that these in-game cinematic and the sheer amount of them we're about to get was thanks to FFXIV. We would've NEVER get them if most of the players didn't hop the train, just to discover the superior story-telling model of FF.
Somehow I don't think he's gonna end up staying in the Maw for long, he'll bootstrap himself or have someone drag him out in time for MoP 2.0 besties adventures & mental health vacation with Wrathion in the Dragon Isles, I'm calling it.
I expected that Arthas would be reborn within Anduin that fragile last whisper of Arthas did not disappeared, he went right into Anduin doubt leaving scar of the lich king changing Anduin and after that he can see the things how Arthas have seen and what he embraced. And after all where is any Jaina x Arthas ,they have exchanged 0 words between them
I’ll say this right now, they better not throw Turalyon and Alleria under the bus with this plot thread. Their audio drama was some of the best writing Blizzard has done. If it gets thrown away just for Anduins development
Omfg, finally, a taste of old wow quality content. So much lore still left with holes to plug, but this, this is a precious sign for better things to come (insert hopium). Fingers crossed for similar and even better quality for dragonflight!
if they continue this animation cutscene quality into dragonflight it might give them the room to make many more cutsenes since it doesn't seem all that intensive and meshes with the games assets
I still dont understand why he went to the Maw. I thought it was to help Slyvanas. Now he's just there, couldnt he have gone to Bastion? Wouldnt taking time to learn from them have helped more? Now he's just in the Maw. For what, that is where the irredeemable are suppose to go! He's not going to find anything down there.
Bastion? So you would rather Anduin be coddled by Kyrians and had a therapy session with them about the horror and exhilaration of the thought of killing one’s friends? I think Anduin would rather face his inner demons, venture deeper into the Maw to find himself through battle and hardship. This is a more perilous journey, but a rewarding one if he choose to be a better king.
Likely so in like two expansions he can come back swoll AF with Death in one hand and Light in the other, prepared to be a new kind of king; and so we don't need to see all that development while we do other stuff.
I realized about halfway through I wasn't even listening anymore, I was just admiring how well done the animation is for an in-game cutscene. If this is the new standard going forward, I'm here for it.
My only complaint (and it is indeed a minor one) is the similarity between Anduin's and Thrall's stories. Thrall felt compelled to kill Garrosh and did so, causing the elements to no longer answer his call. Anduin was compelled to betray his friends and serve the Jailer, now he fears the light won't answer his call. Rather than that, I would've preferred he instead felt unworthy to wield it as if his presence would taint it. Not a massive functional difference, but it distinguishes the two as different characters with different arcs.
I wish Anduin had stayed, used his powers to help return lost souls out of the Maw. It'd be a way to 'redeem' himself to the Light that way. He was more priest than Pally, it'd fit in with his character.

Yeah... Yeah I'm starting to see a bit of the ironing out. It was a terrible, terrible script that got us all here, but I can see some of it coming around; making loose sense of some choices and ironing out details. Not too bad, a good way to start a new expansion. And the in-game cutscenes have come a LONG WAY from the floppy jaws.
It would have been so much nicer if the two had traveled together for a while. Sylvanas could have slow walked him to an epiphany that would have some substance. Instead, she cured Anduin's existential despair in a couple of sentences. Not terrible, just kind of weak.
They failed her character by not having her story actually be in the game. There are key moments in the novel, like Sylvanas being lied to by the Jailer, that should have had in game content. It wouldnhave taken zero effort for the blue angels to ask your help in investigating icecrown as a means to discover his lie
The book was made after the mess their team caused. The burning of teldrassil was not even intended but a decision of Afrasiabi an alcholic who now left. Also the narrstive direction always focused on what is cool and not what was consistent. Books are attempt to make sense of the events
@@pennypastries well…I approve of Teldrassil burning for the simple fact I never felt WoW was serious about making a fantasy war. The revelation of Elune’s meddling kinda balances it out for me. I’m just saying I want them to tell their stories better, especially if they decide to bring war back

But when a narrative is instantly shifted in another direction from 1 guy, it ruins all narrative plans they had for future settings. And i agree i also want they are consistent with the narrative instead of someguys shifting things and make the whole narrative a nonsense mess. And also i want it to be IN THE GAME. Instead they always do books only to fix their inconsistencies and retcons.

I actually would prefer WoW to make a line of ten connected books….to source the lore for the next three expansions. Anduin. To be honest I hope he never comes back to the throne. What a strange character they’ve made him. I was so hyped for him in BfA. Looked like he was finally about to embrace his legacy as king. Not the timid boy he had been. But now he’s literally regressing character and becoming MoP Anduin. Evading his responsibility as royalty. If he were to deal with his trauma while also have the burden of the throne, I think he would be seen as one of the strongest figures in current WoW. But alas they can’t ever write him as anything other than the timid little priest in Varians shadow
So I know it’s a bit different but their interaction kinda reminds me about Illidan and Val on the ship how Illidan asks him about fate or whatever it was and Val laughs at it
Weird time to shelf Anduin. I guess you can draw comparison to Varian not being on the throne and returning later but I don’t see it. I don’t get why his story has to be linked to Sylvanas so heavily. She’s out the story so he must be aswell? Why.
Nah, next expansion is about dragons, nothing for him there thematically apart from his friendship with Wrathion. Maybe he'll return later in the expansion to help his friend, or maybe they'll reunite after Dragonflight ends and commiserate on the hardships of ruling.
Blizzard needs an excuse to create drama in the Alliance and (temporarily?) replacing Anduin with a zealous crusader hopped up on Light from those glowing wind chimes seems to be the route they’re going for it.

Thematically seems like a perfect time to "shelf" Anduin. Dude needs to take some time to figure out WTF and actually try to deal with what happened to him. Plus, it allows time to adequately develop Turalyon in prep for what a lot of us expect to be a Holy Civil War within the forces of the Light.
Anduin being afraid to call on the Light and it not answering due to internal conflict...buuut Sally Whitemane calling the Light for not so good reasons and of course the Horseman, Zeliak, who could call the light while undead. Light doesn't give a damn about why you're calling it apparently.
I actually like this scene because the emotion in it was properly set up in what was otherwise a clusterfuck of an expansion, but at the same time I'm upset that the good writing was reserved for several of shadowlands epilogue cutscenes.
Anduin going to Sylvanas to talk to about how he is afraid to call on the light... ... I understand the urge they share many things in common now, both were astounding champions and leaders of their people... Both were made to do unimanigible things that they would have never done if given the choice, but that choice was taken away by a monster, and now they are left free of the control of their monsters, and they look back realizing they enjoyed parts of what they did and feel shameful of it... That being said, he goes to her talking about being afraid that the light will not answer his call, that he is ashamed that he may have enjoyed parts of it, I surely hope that the writers haven't forgotten they have a literal Naruu that he can talk two... a few actually, so far as I know one still remains on the Lightforged vessel, there also remains

Garrosh was a terrible leader after Cataclysm due to nobody discussing a consistent characterization. The building blocks of a hungry, eager to be prove himself leader being met with humbling lessons and issues he couldn't just grunt and beat his head against was lost in the weeds. From Wrath to Cata, his clear characterization was someone who hated being talked down to and would dig his feet in harder if challenged, but was accepting and willing to learn when spoken to as an equal or with respect. But instead they used only the first part and made that his whole character, resulting in a flat villain that everyone would HAVE to fight eventually, rather than an interesting character.
Wow this was.. actually good? The in game cinematics have gotten so much better even within the same expansion 9.0 engine cinematics were always so messy and expressionless. And the conversation between them makes sense, I really wanted Anduin to express his feelings and have a talk with Sylvanas before we move on. Rare W.
I think you misunderstood the cinematic. Anduin is staying in the Maw, but he's setting out to find his own answers. They both will reside in the maw, but doing their own thing.
Not saying it will ever happen lol, but remember this if somehow it does in the next few xpacs. . . Was getting some weird Romance vibe from Sylvanas and Anduin.. Wouldnt it be hilarious if in the end.. They escape the Maw and some how fall in love with Anduin forgiving everything Sylvanas has done and Her becoming a new redeemed figure head in the WoW universe, their love leading to the eventual Next heir to throne.. Too far fetched? lol
I often forget how young Anduin is. And how stupid. But isn't that how all of us come to understand ourselves, as once "young and stupid" when we didn't really understand ourselves, or what we were capable of? What we would become? So he's a mess inside right now, and frankly lacks the maturity that would allow him to grapple with his demons, and perhaps understand their value. I was afraid he would throw in with Sylvanas, and team up for her penance. I'm glad he didn't; that would cheapen her as much as him. I do wonder where he's going. The Maw sucks as a vacation spot.
I stopped playing WoW last August after the sh!tstorm Blizzard went through and after how much Shadowlands disappointed me... but seeing these 3 cinematics of 9.2.5 make me think Blizzard's on the right path to fixing their previous mistakes.

I don't give a single Fudge about the rest they revealed. I'm part of the crowd clamoring for player housing / a guild hall feature. Also part of the other crowd asking for heavy updates to the old zones to make them more relevant. I honestly don't care for more zones they pull out of their collective arses. The Cataclysm ended 10 years ago. I want to see the tornado in Westfall removed, the fights in Sentinel Hill and its flaming skybox removed. Menethil Harbor should be raised out of the water by Dwarven Shamans. You know, stuff like this. Imagine human and orc towns like Goldshire or Razorhill updated with the WoD garrison assets! I think we won't see updated Undercity and Teldrassil until much later, like 11.0, and that'd be around 2 years from now. I mean, we're not getting any younger. Damn, by 12.0, I'll almost be 40! 😨

I very much agree, its nice to see Blizz pausing and treating all of these characters as....characters, not as pieces of elaborate cinematics or half-baked cosmic plots. It's nice to see these people acting like people.

Blizzard never fails to make Dori'thur look imposing when she needs to be. It's incredible how they made Tyrande's owl look huge as she looks over Sylvanas and Anduin who look small.

Anduin should be speaking to others who have more experience with accepting the damage they did to themselves and others. Like Thrall. He killed Garrosh, a brother in arms, in an honorable duel to the death, cheating using the elements which cost him his shamanistic powers, and the doomhammer. He has lost his honor, but he accepts what he did, and moves on.
Anduin was forced through Domination magic to do what he did. I don't think there is a better person to have Anduin confide in than Sylvanas.
I think they're trying to trim down on some of the cast a little.
I'm sorry, but Thrall hasn't accepted nothing. He was in Draenor hiding from his past until Saurfang came to ask him to fight for the Horde again. I think it was not until he met Draka that he began actually face what he'd done and what there might be in store for him moving forward.
Thrall didn’t cheat and it’s not why he lost his connection to the elements. Also, Garrosh betrayed the Horde and was attempting to invade Azeroth, so yeah, he kinda needed to die.

I like Anduin finally accepting, he´s not as pure as he thinks. Like it is incredibly proud of him to think he was so pure the Light always answered him. He aůways saw himself as good peaceful leader, but we all have our dark sides. Perhaps it´s time for him to accept his.
Also i like that in this cinematic Sylvanas is now basicly his therapist. XD

why is it so hard to accept that some people are pure? is it that necessary for a character to be flawed in order to be relatable? I still believe in anduin's purity. Whatever happens now is obviously the influence of the jailer, therefore originally Anduin was pure.

After being out of WoW for six months, it's sometimes jarring to look back at how often one-liners get substituted for dialogue in conversations.
to be fair some of those one lines can be abit cheesy but so epic in a way. Jaina going "is he the bomb?" was just so well done.
I really wish anduin would realize that most of his friends have done worse for less.
Anduin is mirroring Arthas’ journey, from the naïveté of youth to adulthood, but with the self-reflection Arthas never realised. He’s learning to accept his humanity, flaws and all, and that’ll give him greater compassion and understanding for the others and their various poor decisions.
100% I believe there trying to set up Anduin as some sort of Arbiter of Balance between the cosmic forces
This cutscene feels like a genuine dialogue so much, the voice actors and writing team have done a great job with this one
Reminder that these in-game cinematic and the sheer amount of them we're about to get was thanks to FFXIV. We would've NEVER get them if most of the players didn't hop the train, just to discover the superior story-telling model of FF.

This was my favorite thing to come out of shadowlands. It lifted my doubts about the game being a total emotional waste.

I expected that Arthas would be reborn within Anduin that fragile last whisper of Arthas did not disappeared, he went right into Anduin doubt leaving scar of the lich king changing Anduin and after that he can see the things how Arthas have seen and what he embraced. And after all where is any Jaina x Arthas ,they have exchanged 0 words between them
You know... Some part of me hopes to see this new Sylvanas in the future, but another part's saying "Yeah no, she ain't coming back."

Omfg, finally, a taste of old wow quality content. So much lore still left with holes to plug, but this, this is a precious sign for better things to come (insert hopium). Fingers crossed for similar and even better quality for dragonflight!
if they continue this animation cutscene quality into dragonflight it might give them the room to make many more cutsenes since it doesn't seem all that intensive and meshes with the games assets
I still dont understand why he went to the Maw. I thought it was to help Slyvanas. Now he's just there, couldnt he have gone to Bastion? Wouldnt taking time to learn from them have helped more? Now he's just in the Maw. For what, that is where the irredeemable are suppose to go! He's not going to find anything down there.

Bastion? So you would rather Anduin be coddled by Kyrians and had a therapy session with them about the horror and exhilaration of the thought of killing one’s friends? I think Anduin would rather face his inner demons, venture deeper into the Maw to find himself through battle and hardship. This is a more perilous journey, but a rewarding one if he choose to be a better king.
I think he is lost looking for answers. Was probably hoping Sylvanas could relate… but didn’t get the response that would comfort him
Likely so in like two expansions he can come back swoll AF with Death in one hand and Light in the other, prepared to be a new kind of king; and so we don't need to see all that development while we do other stuff.
Anduin will be the catalyst for an upcoming expansion that will allow class switching on a single character.

My only complaint (and it is indeed a minor one) is the similarity between Anduin's and Thrall's stories. Thrall felt compelled to kill Garrosh and did so, causing the elements to no longer answer his call. Anduin was compelled to betray his friends and serve the Jailer, now he fears the light won't answer his call. Rather than that, I would've preferred he instead felt unworthy to wield it as if his presence would taint it. Not a massive functional difference, but it distinguishes the two as different characters with different arcs.

I wish Anduin had stayed, used his powers to help return lost souls out of the Maw. It'd be a way to 'redeem' himself to the Light that way. He was more priest than Pally, it'd fit in with his character.
This is Sylvanas’s duty, not his.
It's not really clear to me if he's leaving the maw, or just leaving Sylvanas, but also staying in the maw.

Yeah... Yeah I'm starting to see a bit of the ironing out. It was a terrible, terrible script that got us all here, but I can see some of it coming around; making loose sense of some choices and ironing out details. Not too bad, a good way to start a new expansion. And the in-game cutscenes have come a LONG WAY from the floppy jaws.
It would have been so much nicer if the two had traveled together for a while. Sylvanas could have slow walked him to an epiphany that would have some substance. Instead, she cured Anduin's existential despair in a couple of sentences. Not terrible, just kind of weak.
That's hardly cured, he mentions needing time. It will just get started.

They failed her character by not having her story actually be in the game. There are key moments in the novel, like Sylvanas being lied to by the Jailer, that should have had in game content. It wouldnhave taken zero effort for the blue angels to ask your help in investigating icecrown as a means to discover his lie
The book was made after the mess their team caused. The burning of teldrassil was not even intended but a decision of Afrasiabi an alcholic who now left. Also the narrstive direction always focused on what is cool and not what was consistent. Books are attempt to make sense of the events
@@pennypastries well…I approve of Teldrassil burning for the simple fact I never felt WoW was serious about making a fantasy war. The revelation of Elune’s meddling kinda balances it out for me.

@@epiccthulu Don't get me wrong, I loved the war of thorns and i loved the representation of loyalists and the sunreavera hate for the alliance. But when a narrative is instantly shifted in another direction from 1 guy, it ruins all narrative plans they had for future settings.
And i agree i also want they are consistent with the narrative instead of someguys shifting things and make the whole narrative a nonsense mess. And also i want it to be IN THE GAME. Instead they always do books only to fix their inconsistencies and retcons.

Anduin. To be honest I hope he never comes back to the throne. What a strange character they’ve made him. I was so hyped for him in BfA. Looked like he was finally about to embrace his legacy as king. Not the timid boy he had been. But now he’s literally regressing character and becoming MoP Anduin. Evading his responsibility as royalty. If he were to deal with his trauma while also have the burden of the throne, I think he would be seen as one of the strongest figures in current WoW. But alas they can’t ever write him as anything other than the timid little priest in Varians shadow
So I know it’s a bit different but their interaction kinda reminds me about Illidan and Val on the ship how Illidan asks him about fate or whatever it was and Val laughs at it

Weird time to shelf Anduin. I guess you can draw comparison to Varian not being on the throne and returning later but I don’t see it. I don’t get why his story has to be linked to Sylvanas so heavily. She’s out the story so he must be aswell? Why.
Nah, next expansion is about dragons, nothing for him there thematically apart from his friendship with Wrathion. Maybe he'll return later in the expansion to help his friend, or maybe they'll reunite after Dragonflight ends and commiserate on the hardships of ruling.

Blizzard needs an excuse to create drama in the Alliance and (temporarily?) replacing Anduin with a zealous crusader hopped up on Light from those glowing wind chimes seems to be the route they’re going for it.

Thematically seems like a perfect time to "shelf" Anduin. Dude needs to take some time to figure out WTF and actually try to deal with what happened to him. Plus, it allows time to adequately develop Turalyon in prep for what a lot of us expect to be a Holy Civil War within the forces of the Light.
Anduin being afraid to call on the Light and it not answering due to internal conflict...buuut Sally Whitemane calling the Light for not so good reasons and of course the Horseman, Zeliak, who could call the light while undead. Light doesn't give a damn about why you're calling it apparently.
This Cutscene is quite both well made and with an actual good dialogue. Goldstar for once in a longtime for Blizzard, I guess.

I actually like this scene because the emotion in it was properly set up in what was otherwise a clusterfuck of an expansion, but at the same time I'm upset that the good writing was reserved for several of shadowlands epilogue cutscenes.

I understand the urge they share many things in common now, both were astounding champions and leaders of their people... Both were made to do unimanigible things that they would have never done if given the choice, but that choice was taken away by a monster, and now they are left free of the control of their monsters, and they look back realizing they enjoyed parts of what they did and feel shameful of it...
That being said, he goes to her talking about being afraid that the light will not answer his call, that he is ashamed that he may have enjoyed parts of it, I surely hope that the writers haven't forgotten they have a literal Naruu that he can talk two... a few actually, so far as I know one still remains on the Lightforged vessel, there also remains

Garrosh was a moron and a failure not to mention a disgrace to his father's legacy.
Garrosh was a terrible leader after Cataclysm due to nobody discussing a consistent characterization. The building blocks of a hungry, eager to be prove himself leader being met with humbling lessons and issues he couldn't just grunt and beat his head against was lost in the weeds. From Wrath to Cata, his clear characterization was someone who hated being talked down to and would dig his feet in harder if challenged, but was accepting and willing to learn when spoken to as an equal or with respect. But instead they used only the first part and made that his whole character, resulting in a flat villain that everyone would HAVE to fight eventually, rather than an interesting character.

Wow this was.. actually good? The in game cinematics have gotten so much better even within the same expansion 9.0 engine cinematics were always so messy and expressionless. And the conversation between them makes sense, I really wanted Anduin to express his feelings and have a talk with Sylvanas before we move on. Rare W.

I think you misunderstood the cinematic. Anduin is staying in the Maw, but he's setting out to find his own answers. They both will reside in the maw, but doing their own thing.
Not saying it will ever happen lol, but remember this if somehow it does in the next few xpacs. . . Was getting some weird Romance vibe from Sylvanas and Anduin.. Wouldnt it be hilarious if in the end.. They escape the Maw and some how fall in love with Anduin forgiving everything Sylvanas has done and Her becoming a new redeemed figure head in the WoW universe, their love leading to the eventual Next heir to throne.. Too far fetched? lol

I often forget how young Anduin is. And how stupid. But isn't that how all of us come to understand ourselves, as once "young and stupid" when we didn't really understand ourselves, or what we were capable of? What we would become? So he's a mess inside right now, and frankly lacks the maturity that would allow him to grapple with his demons, and perhaps understand their value. I was afraid he would throw in with Sylvanas, and team up for her penance. I'm glad he didn't; that would cheapen her as much as him. I do wonder where he's going. The Maw sucks as a vacation spot.
Really nice to see WoW taking this page from FFXIV. Now if they can intergrate the player character in story beats a bit more all the better.

I stopped playing WoW last August after the sh!tstorm Blizzard went through and after how much Shadowlands disappointed me... but seeing these 3 cinematics of 9.2.5 make me think Blizzard's on the right path to fixing their previous mistakes.

The ONLY parts of DF I'm hyped for is the profession and talent tree revamps. That's it. I don't give a single Fudge about the rest they revealed.
I'm part of the crowd clamoring for player housing / a guild hall feature. Also part of the other crowd asking for heavy updates to the old zones to make them more relevant.
I honestly don't care for more zones they pull out of their collective arses.
The Cataclysm ended 10 years ago. I want to see the tornado in Westfall removed, the fights in Sentinel Hill and its flaming skybox removed.
Menethil Harbor should be raised out of the water by Dwarven Shamans. You know, stuff like this.
Imagine human and orc towns like Goldshire or Razorhill updated with the WoD garrison assets!
