  • NOMAD SCULPTING - How to create hair - EASY (FREE CHAPTER from updated course)
    Creating realistic hair can be done in so many different ways. A lot of programs have a dedicated hair solution so you can simply select where you want the hair to go and then change things like colour, length, curl, clumping etc.
    I thought we would take a look at How to create hair in Nomad, at least, one of the many ways.
    This may not be the easiest way to create hair when compared to all the other solutions out there but it’s amazing that we can do it right there on the iPad. See how to create hair - Easy!
    This is actually just one small chapter from our updated Nomad Sculpt beginners course that we have just updated for the summer. We have re-done the entire course and featured all the new brushes, tools and interface tweaks from 2021

    Thanks for all the tutorials.❤️ Keep up the good work.
    Nomad has become my favorit App for sculpting.
    I discovered that a "Drag" brush with a spottet alpha and a flat falloff works realy well for pulling out shorter hair/fur from the geometry.
    The depth painting you showed recently came in handy for that too.

      @@SouthernGFX thanks to you, I’m finally starting to master Nomad, and I realized that knowing Nomad makes ZBrush sooooooooo much easier to learn. I bought ZBrush back in 2008 but I just could never get past the interface - it was way too complicated. But I recently revisited ZBrush and now learning it is a breeze. So a big thank you for teaching me Nomad and laying the foundation for learning ZBrush. Many thanks!

    Why didn't you used tube? Seems a bit simpler and more intuitive

    • @SouthernGFX
      @SouthernGFX  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tube uses at least 4 times the polygons. I do use them but usually for more stylised hair. For big chunks tube is perfect. For small strands just try it and see.

    • @creativeearthian1702
      @creativeearthian1702 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @SouthernGFX
      @SouthernGFX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FranklyWry Try it. Check your polycount and you'll see it's 4 to 6 times larger with the tube. I DO use the tube method on certain jobs but I like the single poly luck.
