- The Mokohinau Islands (Mokes), located in the outer Hauraki Gulf, is a special destination that has inspired anglers from New Zealand and all around the world to visit for a shot at a trophy snapper, kingfish and in the season a striped or black marlin right in close to the rocks.
In this episode of Journey of a Fisherman, we have assembled a team of mad-keen fishers and set off to the Mokes to spend the day exploring the untapped potential as a land-based destination.
