I was fortunate enough to ride arabians when I was younger. We used to call that the "Arabian Float". When they float - it is like riding a cloud, it's just so incredible - you're airborn with each of those steps. I miss that.....
Unique Characteristics of the Arabian Horse: A delicately dished face with wide intelligent eyes and arching neck are hallmarks of the purebred Arabian. Arabians have a high tail carriage and floating ‘gaits’ (forward movement). Arabians are quick learners, alert, and sensitive. Arabians are the ancestors of many modern day horses from the tall Trakehner to the diminutive Fallabella. Arabian horses have one less vertebrae than other breeds of horses. Meticulous care is taken to keep the bloodlines of Arabian horses 100% pure.
Awesome lesson for everyone-thank you. Their black skin (unless it is a true white marking) and the the ears that tip inward are two other traits the old elders taught me. I was so fortunate to have my life to be able to have my own small band of Straight Egyptian Arabians for years. The 💕 loves of my life. I appreciate your ability to be so expressive to those seeing this mare! 😊
Truly beautiful! The legendary Arabian floating trot.I could watch this for hours at a time. You see an Arabian like this,it makes you wonder if they are actually real, earthbound creatures
And this is why I don't let like tie downs and all this fancy martengale bullshit the horses doesn't need to be trained to do this this filly knows how to control her body she can lead change all on her own it's the human that needs to be trained to activate those movements
frenchfry people use martingleas and tie downs as some form of control of the horses body and OP’s argument is the horse knows the best way and doesn’t need to be “taught” how to carry himself.
The only new factor is that the horse needs to learn how to do this with the added weight of a human on its back. The human needs to know how to ride with the horse; loosen hips, stay quiet in the saddle and keep off the reins, you need to ride from your seat and legs.
My horse does the whole flagged tail and float thing plus the snorting lol. So funny to watch. He also has a bounce type gait for when he is showing off. Breeding unknown - but I reckon he has Arabian blood. A great horse with serious attitude!
Ok, well in my old age I just couldn't pass up reading some ancient comments on this beautiful girl. As a former Arabian breeder, she is a black, she just carries a "roan" gene that can be found in black, bay, chestnut (sorrel for QH/Paint/Appy folks and could be dangerous if one tried to breed this trait into an already colored breed), and even a grey. She is gorgeous! I love 💕 her sass and animation! Very nice! Thank you for sharing her with us 😊!
Oh my!.. She's insane! The beauty they bred into these horses... What a gift to the eyes. I honestly think I'd be willing to die for her.. Yes, being Lebanese and loving horses and animals that much. People that don't get it have the thickest of scales over their eyes.. So sad. ❤❤❤
When ever I find children interested in animals, I always ask them how do animals move their legs when they move slowly and when they ran faster. Many so not seem to know about the diagonal permutation of leg motion in horses trotting or cantering. This video show a perfect example of the horse lifting the diagonal legs in zero phase shift. It is interesting that different horses and cows and dogs normally lift their diagonal legs with a slight phase shift. Taller animals as giraffes and elephants and camels seem to prefer to lift their side legs together rather than on the diagonal. They can only do it because of their high inertia up top, enough to keep them stable when lifting their side legs. Unlike the human body they do not seem to need to shift sideways to keep their weight on the footprint or the line joining the footprints of the legs. With galloping the mode changes. It is all excellent applied mathematics.
It looks SOO great when there's no unnecessary baggage on a horseback. Why wouldn't people just leave horses like that - happy, unbroken? Just like dogs and cats?
If you watch, you can see that the legs in the air take longer to come down. Kind of like how you do when you are skipping. It's called a floating trot.
I doubt seriously if she has PasoFino in her blood lines. She moves like that because she is still a baby. As for her tail. Babies carry their tail like that while young. Mine carried her tail that way just the other day. Because she was very nervous. She is 17 yrs old
I could watch her for hours. So beautiful and graceful ...
What a natural beauty! She floats on air, so light footed and a joy to watch. She is obviously happy and feeling quite good about herself.
It's almost scary how silent and light-footed she is when she goes from step to step so fluidly.
I have watched this video REPEATEDLY. She just floats across the ground. Love it. Thank you very much for sharing this.
I swear Arabians float. They don't even touch the ground, nope, they're hover crafts I promise you.
That's how I used to describe riding them. Sadly I am now too big to ride arabians.

You're also absolutely right !

Magnificent? Glorious? Don't have a strong enough adjective to describe what this filly makes me feel while watching her.
Thank you for sharing!
This is pure eye candy to watch. Who ever owns her is very blessed.
So, so beautiful and more because she's doing it FREE and enjoy it ... Don't need a rider to teach her ...
So right

As the saying goes, "and God took wind, and shaped it to create the horse"
What an absolutely breathtaking filly! That trot...I don't even have words to describe how magnificently she moves.

Agree agree agree. The horse knows how to move itself much better than any rider
frenchfry people use martingleas and tie downs as some form of control of the horses body and OP’s argument is the horse knows the best way and doesn’t need to be “taught” how to carry himself.
frenchfry please stop replying to me. I told you their argument and if they’re not going to reply you’re arguing with no one. I couldnt care less

That is really interesting. Thank you!
It’s called pacing and some horses do it too. Standardbreds race in harness at the pace.
This is what a flying trot looks like
Poetry in motion. 😍
Drinkers of the wind!
She is beautiful ❤
She is pure Arabian, no Paso Fino in there at all.
Fantastic
So LOVELY! Antique Chinese sculpture of horse treading on swallow, that's what they saw

Beautiful gait
Floaty feets!
I have a girl that trots like that - and actually looks a lot like this girl - what is her breeding? Beautiful to watch!
No wonder they generate so much hatred and envy... Sad.
They're in a league all of their own... Always have been.
Exquisite Creatures .❤❤❤
I think SSO (star stable) inspired one of their arabian color variations off this video! :)
ein rabicano arabian
Is this horse trained to trop like this? Or it's natural for him?
Natural, as already stated in the description.
Quite natural. Look at second 4. Beautiful.

Sold years ago.
Exquisite.!
Beautiful!!! What's her name?
+Sheba Dees Silvr Lining I think. She is so pretty! Wish I could trot like that.
Are they running the same way as a normal horse just a bit smoother? Why does it look so different than other horses?
This gait allowed them to run in the sand
If you watch, you can see that the legs in the air take longer to come down. Kind of like how you do when you are skipping. It's called a floating trot.
