imagine if lil wayne and nick jonas do a dual guitar in a song...
Oh god no
The world would explote!
חחח LOL !!
My ears would bleed and fall off.
it's the end of the world as we know it...
Now if you look closely, you can see that both of them are Steve.
The 4E WTF IM SHOOK
Holy crap how did I not notice that XD :P
The 4E Mind blow
I thought one of them was Kirk Hammett.
The 4E Liar

Unfortunately John Henley who I believe is in charge of the eagles now He really doesn't care And really does copyright claim every time someone uploads a solo cover of the song hotel California. Which of them fortunately is why that bit is cut out right now in the video
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MENTIONED QUEENSRYCHE!!! THEY PRACTICALLY NEVER GET ANY CREDIT!!!
And you did a good job, Steve. On all of them in fact.
Lol my sister used to listen to Lady Jane all the time, waaaay back in 94-95.
Queensryche is an iconic band with epic songs! "Eyes of a Stranger" is a perfect example of their incredible work!
I really love jet city woman by that band
Lets just never mention them again
@@CameronsMusic why?
Really, no [insert band that is known for harmonizing solos]?
Every power metal band ever
Marino Oliveira nearly every thrash metal band ever
dragonforce lol
many japanese rock/metal bands do dual solos
Nickelback?
you play scarified like it's nothing. Great Scott
Master Zoupa! Fancy seen you here :)
I dont get it, is his real name Scott?! 😃
+Hannibal X that's just a figure of speech dude hahaha
Holy shit you're here. I absolutely love your tutorials man. They're really effective in teaching solos. Thanks for your tutorials. They really helped hahaha.
Man I really hope you do every Kiko Loureiro solo on Dystopia.Because you are the best,if you dont, there is never going to be a lesson on TH-cam for those legendary solos.
The most intriguing harmonizing in Hangar 18 is actually the slow, groovy bridge in the intro ( Friedman plays and holds the high bends that sets up the tone, and Mustaine enunciates with the low arpeggios ), that leads to the chromatic sliding harmonized riff that forms the verse ( where you start playing ). Its really that bride which injects the whole alien feel to the song.
Steve: Here's The Eagles, Hotel California.
Steve in the same breath: This next band is known for their dual guitar work, Iron Maiden.
It’s because Don Henley is a dick head and will remove ur video if you play any eagles song
He played the eagles in the first version of this video. Obviously he had to cut it out.
May as well rename the video "Top 9 Dual Guitar Songs!" because that just rolls off of the tongue DUH!
Yeah I thought the same. Didn't really think anyone could copyright strike you if you're playing the music yourself though?
Eagles are very protective of their music apparently.
Being a long time Avenged fan, my heart dropped when I heard Steve say "Coming Home by Avenged Sevenfold"
Passed on the first half of the solo though. Shame
Same
Like in a bad way?
yeah their older albums have some much better dual guitar work on em...
Yeah I thought he was gonna do something else like Afterlife or something like that
How to write legendary guitar solos:
1. Harmonize in thirds
2. ???
3. Profit!
Major or minor thirds? Well, you didn’t specify so I’ll assume major.
Ausdoerrt it
diminished thirds ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
UnknownVengeance oOoOf
A lot of Death solos harmonize in 7ths.
I wish zacky and syn would play together again like in city of evil
you can’t forget the duel action in waking the fallen!
Waking The Fallen is their best album by far
@@svenskakrigare9543 agreed
I mean, bro, you listened to exist or criti acclaim, set me free, eternal rest, desecrated through reverence, I won't see you part 2, unholy confessions, save me, lost, danger line, and......yeah these for example
Also the example he used is coming home from hail to the king so
Thank you Steve. One day as a little kid, I somehow stumbled upon this video, not even knowing a thing about rock or meta music, and it made me check out A7X. This band got me into metal which lead to me picking up a guitar. I am now in a band and very happy with my progress as a musician. I still watch your vids and love em, it’s awesome that just this video led to everything. Thanks again!
Lmao same. In 2014 my friend hand me his earphone to check this playlist by A7X. Since then i love metal so much i progressively rank up to the metal subgenres. Only god knows what demonic songs i listen to now😂😂
@@iqiyi1928 yessir man, respect
I just discovered a7x a few days ago and they are fucking awesome!
Brilliant as usual, but... no Lil' Wayne dual guitar tracks?
He also forgot nick Jonas
How can you dual these two????? :D
Lil Wayne is so good he doesn't need a partner when he's doing his guitar solo
Lil Wayne is such a talented guitarist that he doesn't need another guitarist with him! Lol :)
Alex Guitar did you just steal my joke?
Glad to see you included Boston. Such an underappreciated band.
Yeah, Tom Scholz is a killer guitarist
@@andrewpappas9311 and playing his parts is not easy either!
Hitch a ride guitar solo from 'boston' is screaming melody
Honestly not the dual guitar Boston song I would've expected. I was expecting peace of mind
@@sOriginalMan-bw8de I was also expecting Peace of Mind. But, any Boston track within the first 3 albums is killer!
There's a song by Death that is entirely duel guitars and an acoustic guitar. It's absolutely beautiful.
N3V3R RA710NAL voice of the soul?
dual* stoopid
Instrumental for sure
Ahh voice of the soul
My healing for my soul
VOICE OF THE SOUL
Haha the subtitles translate ‘hey I’m Stevie T’ to ‘ Hey I’m CCTV’ 😂
Lmao
before I watch, Iron Maiden has to be here
I was about to say that.
And Judas Priest
Iron maiden, judas priest and megadeth.. You cant say no to marty and mustaine if they come togther agai, can you? :)
+Don john again*
but can you put a price on peace?
When he said Megadeth I immediately thought "Its gotta be Hanger 18" and I was right
Britany Lopez well done
Britany Lopez You'd think it'd be Tornado of Souls, but no.
Angel Witch is Life lmao thats what i thought
This happened to me but with the trooper
Britany Lopez haha
Wheres your cover of the hotel california? 😂
Copyright, my friend!!
):
at least the video went online again
Included top 9 bands enter the chat..
@@pragyansharma875 The Eagles being The Eagles
Stevie, i admire you.
I love all your videos and you are one of the reason i picked up guitar and push myself above my limits!
This video is also very inspiring.
Cheers!
Greetings and love form India, Mizoram
No one mentioned Death yet. To forgive us to suffer is a fucking legendary song!
Yussss
Maybe becasue Chuck wrote most of his stuff on his own. On the early tracks he played both guitars and the bass on his own. These list may want two musicians to be heard in a dual part.
Technically the Boston spot was Schultz on his own, though when they played "Don't Look Back" live Barry was probably playing the other part.
Voice Of The Soul
**mic drop**
Voice Of The Soul has probably the best dual guitar solos of all time, the full song beats all the songs from this list combined, period.
U should put a part 2 to this
I agree #1 was too awesome not to have a sequel. Make our days Stevie 🌞🌞🌞
If he does do a sequel he should include Michael Angelo playing dual guitar with himself :p
Where's hetfield and hammet duo?
theres better ones
@@gainonten4031 my friend of misery harmony solo should be on list
There should be the creeping death solo wich they played in the tuning room
@eniatsuM evaD bro eye of the beholder has probably my favorite metallica harmony work
some beach in california?
So good - thanks for taking the time to make this. We need to bring rock back lads
I clicked on this video really expecting hotel California to be number one... Oh well
Owen Marcovitz WAS IT NOT?!? IM NOT WATCHING THE VIDEO THEN
Owen Marcovitz hangar 18 ftw
Owen Marcovitz same
Owen Marcovitz 3 guitars
i was expecting james hetfield and kirk hammet
honorable mention: doctor doctor by ufo and the quiet slow part of orion by metallica
You're so right.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks UFO is very underrated
agreed.
There was only one guitarist in UFO Michael Schenker.
+ultraflem No. When they recorded the album, "Phenomenon", there were two guitar players in the band. In the studio version of "Doctor Doctor", both Michael Schenker and Paul Chapman play dual guitar.
Every metal dual guitar song:
Guitar 1: *spam djent*
Guitar 2: *mindless shred*
This is by far, your best video...carry on Stevie!!!
i didn't know idubz played guitar
i dubbbz
Hey, that's pretty good !
edups
He's more like Filthy Frank
dougy douglas idubbbz*
Thin Lizzy had to be on there.
Yes. They practically invented dual guitars
Oh hey BTG, didn't expect to ser you here
69 nice
Ur on here?!
I love Thin lizzy with their song Jailbreak
Binge-O-Rama continues! Great list, and the part with the 4 Steves killed me!
Arch Enemy had some insanely great dual guitar work back when the Amott Brothers played together.
yeah now I don't know what they're doing. Nothing against Alyssa but the band isn't the same.
The four Steves on The Boys Are Back In Town cracked me up
Should be the Steve's are back in town.
they are his minions...
Most cultivated way to play with oneself. :-P
that sounds like a band name, I can see the markee sign now, TONIGHT ONLY: THE FOUR STEVES wsg Fifth Steve and Weird Guy in Wig
same
lol
I really like this guy because hes so animated and fun to watch lol
He is really annoying and a try hard comedian. He can definitely shred but the rest of him is just plain awful
Amen bro. Gimme Jared Dines
Dabean Ishear yeah, hes so bad! its not like he has 400k subs!
+strawbana The Justin Bieber VEVO has more than 400k subs, does that make him a good musician?
Shannon Swiggart
No. No it doesnt.
Before I watched, I thought HANGER 18 has to be in there, glad you agreed.
Was it in return to hangar that has the dual solo at the end ????
What about the scorpions???!?!??!?!?
I was waiting for them during the whole video
Drinking game: take a shot every time Stevie T says, "known for their dual guitars"
So never because he says known
U tryna kill me?
I almost died doing this challenge
3 shots for every time he can't pronounce Cacophony right
Dave Scott lol that was bugging the shit out of me.
Queensryche is awesome finally someone who shows some respect.
I totally agree operation mindcrime is a blessing in my life!!!
Concept albums would not be the same without operation mindcrime
Instead of yelling "SLAYER!" in the mosh pit, we should scream "WALK WITH ME!"
Metal Pillowcase. Everything stated there is true. I actually tried to learn operation mindcrime but it did not come very far. Dream Theater, ahh Dream Theater. They actually are my favorite music group and in my opinion are one of the leading prog metal bands
Yes! Operation mindcrime is great but their earlier stuff is the best. Take hold of the flame, the warning and queen of the reich are amazing
Did he take Hotel California because of copyright? God TH-cam has gone to shit.
yes, Don Henley is a notorious youtube blocker and any eagles material played on YT is blocked worldwide
@@KeeperOfPoops you mean Don Felder?
@@pepsidoggo1598 Couldn't be Felder. He had less influence on the band, though he was the best.
Great edit dude!
Hangar 18 better be number one on here
Had no idea that Stevie had a twin Brother and 2 of the same guitars
OREOS _ im glad you are joking
OREOS _ I have 2 Of the same guitar lol. Me and my brother got them for Christmas a few years back and he didn’t stick with it
They wore the same outfit as well
I didn't know his sister/girlfriend could play guitar!
Now that was rad!! Especially number 10.
Great video Stevie!! I would have added Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird to the list. Great dual solo in that song 😃 keep up the great content
Stevie. your side to side head jerk during the trooper made me laugh so hard that I farted.
My UFO Story HAHAHA WTF MAN HAHAH😂
My UFO Story I farted laughing at your comment. I'm not even joking.
Carry on - Angra is a great song with dual guitars!!!
Legião dos Opalas so. Yo should make your own list.
Thank you for this 🤟🔥
Also Waiting in Silence from them. To me, Kiko and Rafael together were the best duo guitar ever!!!
Thanks, never heard of Angra before, these guys rock hard!
@@jchrislindsay2000 Kiko Loureiro - ex-Angra - is the current guitarrist in Megadeth. If you listen to Angels Crying, Nothing to Say, Nova Era, Acid Rain, Time (one of my favorites) and Rebirth you will know that they choose the right man for the job. Even Mustaine always says that he is impressed by Kikos talent.
Awesome! Well done dude
Yeah Hangar 18! Love it. Great video Steve, so happy I found this one :-)
My heart dropped when I heard megadeth
that too in No. 1 ...
It was Hangar 18, no doubt. Everyone who's a Megadeth should've knew it was coming. Lol
Why?
+isnowyazn D'uh..
Max Durk Because I love Megadeth and I was expecting him to put another avenged sevenfold song on.
to live is to die interlude- Metallica
master of puppets interlude- Metallica
Sanitarium , blackened , and justice for all, frayed end of sanity, the day tha never comes , all nightmare long , im sure i forgot some, theyu have a lot more than this.
Orion possibly?
+Steeve Lapointe not my favourites.
+fillespetz dual guitar is not very prominent in it. Like there are two guitars (of course) but not in the context of harmony that Steve intends in this video. I could be wrong though.
His guitar reminds me of the orange my grandma gave me.
Yeah?
How was the orange.... Was it good.....and orange like..... Do you have fond memories of granny orange giver
Dude I totally agree with your list. You are the funniest guitar dude on YT and you have some serious chops. Congrats.
Queensryche is fucking amazing, I'm so glad Stevie added it to this list :o
Yes
AGREED!!!
yeah warning and mind crime was bad ass albums! when Chris left it all but fell apart. although mind crime was so awesome that it took a lot outta him. I saw the tour twice and man its one of those tours you could go to constantly and not get tired of it. one of the best albums of all time.
damn so fucking glad others appreciate queensryche as much as I do. those albums truly are legendary.
I think coming home is on of the most underrated A7X songs.
Brodez_The_Destroyer Agreed. Avenged are so unique and are different to other bands
i would add MIA too
I have it as my second favorite song by them only behind M.I.A., which is also very underrated and also has an outstanding solo with an amazing harmony in it. Ironic
Awesome Stevie!
Was looking for songs to do with a student, great list!
Before watching, I'm expecting some Avenged Sevenfold.
I KNEW IT
congratulation 👏
Cameron Miles all I'm gonna say is why coming home it's a good song but their is better solos
I was thinking the same thing. Why not Afterlife or one of the City of Evil songs
I was thinking second heartbeat or something
7:54 what could be funnier than steve doing dumb faces?.......... 4 steves doing dumb faces xDDD
Hahaha haha haha... omg I laughed here so much...\m/
I miss this Stevie T when he actually plays guitar
Stevie, love you music, love your humor. Most importantly love your taste in music, you open my mind to more songs then you would believe.
freee biiirrrdddddddddd!!
Free hat
+ArseniasModding South Park
Free Balling! lol... I said that haha!
it has 3 guitarist...
+The Ancient Marinara Yeah 😂😂
when I saw #9 I knew this list was going to go uphill fast. coming home is a very underrated song and you barely hear it played
Thomas Graham I agree one of my favorite a7x songs. I'm trying to learn it it's super hard
Saw A7X, got excited.
Coming Home: Dammit, what about Buried Alive or Bat Country?
Or scream I love that song or critical acclaim
agreed
or afterlife
Literally 90% of their solos could be on this list
No wonder you have some good taste in music steve..as always great work!
Master Of Puppets?
Free Bird?
victor arredondo yeah that dual lead on puppets should be right up there with megadeth
Heavy Brazil yes.
sorry, we dont count guitar hero hits
WhoaPancakeMix sick burn dude
WhoaPancakeMix those were hits before fucking guitar hero
The trooper made me jump in joy...
Majin Susangz I am wearing a trooper shirt right now with my denom jacket with iron maiden patches
I waited from the start just for that riff
Me 2
Phantom of the opera...
The trooper was literally the first song I tried to learn after basic stuff.
Nice work as always Stevie \^^/
Great selection.
Great video Steve. I didn't want you to stop Hotel California. I love that song. I was wondering when you were going to have your sister in one of your videos again, and there she was. She is pretty good at guitar and almost showed you up. LOL. Loved the quad Stevie T. Awesome work once again.
Hi steve's mom
are you steves mom?
His mom is so magical she can comment 4 hours before the video is even released lol
+Craig McGee he probbaly had the video on private with sharable link
Mr Superstar XV Yeah I know
I was expecting Hangar 18 before I clicked the thumbnail
Same here 😊😊😊
I love how you mention Queensryche. Awesome Orange guitar by the way.
Gorgeous guitar, and your playing is flawless
Admit it, in 7:18 you also expected "You took my life but I'll take yours too"
No, i expected "You'll *take* my life, but i'll take your's too"
The trooper? Hollowed be thy name is one of the best melodic riffs out there
hallowed has only 2 dual parts
first around 2:40 and second after the solos
Brian Hart I'd say powerslave, its insane
Brian Hart as a dual guitar maiden song, I'd choose either their self titled song, or Purgatory.
those are nothing when compared to seventh son, deja vu, loneliness, or the duellists
Kitomir The duelists and Losfers Words are quite melodically similar at some points. Both great dual guitar songs
Thank you very much for number ten: KISS!
I like how he didn't play hotel California
These TH-cam blockers like the Eagles are absolutely ridiculous
right? imagine a generation in the future not knowing Eagles because of these publishers who don't understand the concept of fair use.
@@kingkongmalunggay yeah that just seems like shooting yourself in the foot, maybe not just the foot but the head as well
Im using a Freaking VPN to watch this cause this got blocked in The states so like what did he do. Oh he MENTIONED Hotel Cali dang
he did play hotel california but they took the video down, so now they ruined the entire video
They don't want to be remembered by future generations I guess! At least Bob Seger's manager Punch finally got his stuff onto the streaming platforms!
Best dual guitar song? Easily the full house theme song
every dragonforce solo ever but definately Operation Ground And Pound where Herman Li steals the show
This video got me into A7X... thanks, Steve
Sotiri thanks for bringing me to this little piece of heaven
RG Indian i know you cant, you have warmness on the soul
Lucas Reinaud that warmness went missing in action. It's all fiction now.
No you two. Stop fighting. Crimson Day is upon us. And we are the Victims. We must work together, and not be Betrayed. Or else we'll see The Wicked End.
God damn, man... let's not end the rapture
Another Great Video.
Bravo Steve T !
I only had one earplug in and was thinking why the hell can't i hear the "dual" guitars? I'm an idiot
Dylan Jimenez My left ear plug is broken ;-; Sad life
Michelle Cannes sad hours
Billy Goat Nope. I won't be getting new headphones until this year ends, so it's "sad months."
Same...
omfg xD
Was really happy to see you represent Thin Lizzy so well :)
'I'm burning for you' in the end was a treat
I agree very much with your Top 1. Nice!
Helloween have many dual guitar bits
Yup! and keepers of the seven keys is unbeatable masterpiece
Exactly
@@wanabubakar2181 The Dark Ride is an excellent example of Dual Guitar too.
One of my favourite bands ever
Where The Rain Grows is the best in dual guitar
Great list! I just really missed the duo Ritchie Blackmore and Rithcie Blackmore on Highway Star. Honorable mentions to Ygwie Malmsteen and Brian May making a duo with themselves using delay.
He such a beautiful player and a good editer
Glad you included Thin Lizzy one of my all time favorites . The level of skill of its members cannot be overstated.RIP Phil Lynott .
My top band for dual guitar solos is always Thin Lizzy, an under rated band in my opinion!
They made it!
CPOMendez117 I know, i was fairly surprised, when i saw the title i instantly thought of thin lizzy! So gald they were on there, and very surprised
Same here man :) I'm surprised he used Boys Are Back In Town though, feel like Black Rose would've been a killer for this list! The call and response and guitar harmonies in that song are crazy awesome.
Glad he mentioned Thin Lizzy either way though!
CPOMendez117 yeah i was gonna say there are better songs than boys are back in town, holy war and chinatown are my faves, they may not count on this video for the lack of "dualness" but they still kick ass
Mate check out the black star riders. They are the legacy band and have some awesome songs
Awesome Great video!.
Funny think, you talked about Paul Stanley and Ace ace Frehley, but the picture shows Paul Stanley and Tommy Thayer :)
Very well done Steve, where did you get the background drum from ? Did you program that yourself or did you find any STEM files for all the song just only containing the drums ? Many thanks...
I'd put the intro to afterlife instead of coming home for A7X. It's just so iconic
I don’t think there’s much you can’t play Stevie T! You rock bro!
death-voice of the soul
Fuck yes!
Should've been number one. It's the most beautiful instrumental I've ever heard.
hell yeah
Genuinely surprised to not see Scorpions on here, maybe it’s just me but their dual guitar stuff is so incredibly iconic
I wanted to hear a Cacophony song somewhere in the video but it's alright, thanks for including them
Happy to see Coming Home on the list. But maybe critical acclaim should have been a better pick. Or maybe lost. Or bat country. I dunno. I think critical would be the best pick.
*critical acclaim
Jaybat 46 or Beast And The Harlot
Blank Name duuuude yes!
Jaybat 46 or unholy confessions
Jaybat 46 Second heartbeat for sure man
tfw he mentions Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley and shows a picture of Paul with Tommy Thayer...
GroovingPict Paul and better ace
I'm going to rewatch as my videos to get view back up. Welcome back Stevie
Dude I have to say, that was a damn solid list.
